Is Pirate Warriors 2's plot a continuation of Pirate Warriors 1? If so why is Ace alive?

I know the campaign's a what if story, but is the
plot in any way a continuation to the first Pirate Warrior's game? I noticed Ace's still alive in this one

I love the idea, but i'dd recomend keeping some changes the anime did instead of using still images, some things just can't be fixed, unless you can animate it from scratch of course.

Anybody knows a good place to watch the films that were used as inspiration for the admirals? I'm having a difficult time trying to find the 1983 Detective Story Aokiji film
