I normally hate fanfic with a passion. But this was a fun little read. I too feel like Coby has a better chance at eating the fruit than anyone on the crew.

I dont know why are so much against Sanji eating Aces DF but i am not talking on a whim here Oda put so much hints in the manga that sanji will be the one who will eat Aces DF , even before the fruit introduced after Aces death i had a theory Sanji eating it and inherriting Aces will because of the similarities they have . Sanji eating Aces DF wont change him but it will make his atacks stronger like how gears make Luffys stronger , other then Sanji if you give Aces DF to anyone else then its a complete waste .

Even punk hazzard was the base for us to getting used to Sanji eating a logia so as caribou etc… Oda made us warm to the idea little by little so it wont be like Sanji suddenly getting stronger with Aces DF , DF is also a weapon and weapons are important for fighters cause if not Zoro would just let go of shuusui and find another sword . I cant understan how people can think coby since Ace was bound to be learder of Pirate fleets while coby is a marine , it would be better if Luffy spit on Aces grave other then giving his fruit to coby .

Haven’t you guys noticed that a common motif (recurring pattern) in this Dressrosa arc is that looks are deceiving. We see this with the blind old man; he looked so pathetic and helpless but then showed his true power; the gladiators/fighters underestimated Luffy because of the way he looked, but we all know what happened next.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Dellinger – someone who looks weak in comparison to the other DD family fighters – is in fact the strongest. Or Violet who looks weak and helpless, could be a real danger not only to Sanji, but to everyone.

I think we’ll see this “looks can be decieving” pattern throughout this arc. Any thoughts about this?

I think this has been a recurring event throughout all of one piece.
Luffy has pretty much always looked weak to other people…
i dont really have more examples, but i think its already happened a lot.

There is no need to overthink things, I`d just take it easy and watch how things develop without making rash assumptions like Violeta is like that and this strong and like that fairy is like this and that strong. There is not enough info for them to make judgement yet, they both could be even Donflamingos subordinates acting under orders to seperate SH crew members.

im sorry, but i think the only similarities with sanji and ace were both of them using fire….

they have completely different fighting style, fighting skills and how they produce fire.
if sanji gets it, it would overhaul everything sanji is except that he will have flamier body...but its not sanji anymore.

i wont point at the hints you think are pertaining sanji to eat the fruit, its your own observation...though, i cant really agree to those who say that sanji was deliberately made look weak by oda to make him get the fruit...coz its just wrong, some people here still thinks sanji is monster trio level and his 2 year training enough just like all the other strawhats. its almost sure he havent shown half of what he learned from his training and i dont see why he needs a super-solo-special-power-up. this is not bleach, strawhats powerup little by little and not because of some sudden super saiyan level up.

I think people are really overestimating fire Logia yes Logias have incredible destruction power but a strong haki user can beat the hell out of them also Luffy is a DF user too so if he looses Sanji after he learned haki thats his fault not his fruits and i never saw luffy think his fruit was inferior to others . Sanji eating Mera mera doesnt change his style at all but he can do somethings he cant do before , Ace was also so strong before eating his DF so whats the fuss i dont get it .

Finding all blue in a world where sea is the most important thing , making a sea restaurant chains where people will no longet get hungry in sea , worst enemy for marines etc… Sanji is so worthless he really doesnt make any difference in at all .

Actually we don't know that, he said before but at that time his dream was first but now is different because he want to make Luffy the pirate king, that's the main reason all of the SHs trained for the past two years but like I said on Sanji eating this DF it will depend on this arc and who he fights

I mean you're on the right track, but if you're going to go down that road, then you really might as well ask the real question, which is who cares about anyone at all in this manga aside from the Wano samurai. I mean honestly, by that standard, we had to sit through more than six hundred chapters focusing on all these worthless characters before even being introduced to one that anyone would even vaguely care about. I mean that's true, of course, but it's kind of defeatist to think about it that way; my point being, I don't see why you think this chapter is any worse than the usual tripe we get.

There wasn't even any Kinemon in this chapter, or even that blind swordsman that is the last samurai of the group! Buddy then go read a samurai manga since one piece is an adventure manga where you will always see new people and places , i understand you like samurai but one piece isnt that kind of manga .

Anyway, about the chapter being good or bad; I honestly didn't perceive it as either, it's one of these typical transition chapters, a little boring I guess, but next week is probably going to have it's first pay-offs; like what the woman who seduced Sanji is actually sheming, how Luffy will keep his identity secret during fights that will probably force him to go all out (I mean, if fishman island and punk hazard really didn't have enemies that forced him to go all out, so maybe this is the first time that we truly met someone with actual power that can oppose Luffy and his crew?), who zoro is following, etc.

It was garbage because of the pacing and the panels. A lot of them were useless, yes we know Luffy is strong and he owned some fodder wow never seen that before. Who cares about Sanji that was a waste of time. It just feels like this Arc is gonna be another slow pace useless arc. It's probably gonna take Law and co 40 Chapters to reach the bridge.
