@RobZilla:
Hahahaha right, Luffy tried all his moves and couldn't damage him one iota because of his logia defense, but he wasn't outclassed.
The Zoro situation is totally different….he wasn't attacking Pica's actual body, he was attacking an assimilated stone statue of Pica essentially.
He needed to jump out of the way because Crocodile was destroying the entire area lol Jesus Christ. That's not stupidity, that's dodging an incredibly powerful attack.
Yeah, the winner of a fight OVERALL is the one who dies after knocking the other one out....Yeah, I'm the dumbass lol.
Agree with the first and third lines.
But the Pica situation is somewhat similar actually, but obviously not identical. It's merely a different form of defense mechanism. Zoro got helped by Luffy wrecking the head, which made Pica's real body emerge. Had Luffy not done that, Zoro might not have found out how to bypass his defense in time, and even lost. Doesn't mean that Pica would've been far above Zoro in terms of skill and physical abilities, similarly to how Crocodile wasn't compared to Luffy.
If Luffy died because of the poison, he would've, in a way, both won and lost. He would've won because he beat Crocodile and saved the country, but lost because, well, he died lol
Compare it to this hypothetical scenario. Luffy beats Crocodile and lives without any assistance from Robin. Yet it took him so long that everyone on the surface had killed each other. In my my eyes, that would again be both defeat and victory for Luffy, but the defeat would be much more significant.
