So I re-read the Chapter to refresh over the break, and I noticed something I missed two weeks ago.

On the last page, it looks like Kiku's sword is bloody. At first I thought it was Kaido's sword, but it's definitely not. The next panel shows Kiku crying.

I mean, I can see Kanjuro losing. After all, he was up against 7 of his old pals, and only had nameless fodder on his side. Still, I would hate to see this fight off-paneled like that if Oda decides not to show the fight.

I would also throw in Aokiji's confrontation with Doffy at PH. - Doffy is MAD pissed at this point; he is merciless against Smoker and destroys him. Aokiji shows up, Doffy takes the risk and attempts to kill Smoker anyway, and is stopped. He sizes up Aokiji and decides it's not worth fighting him. Again, this is a PISSED-OFF Doffy who chose NOT to fight against a former Admiral with limbs missing.

I re-watched the Anime to hear Pay pay's voice, and it looks like it won't match his character reveal. Like, not Pica-level mismatch, but it's there lol.

I just recently started reading the forums here again. I haven't really posted since last year. I too noticed the lack of activity. Normally each Chapter thread would already have 11+ pages by the time I logged in, but as others have pointed out, I was able to realize most discussions happen in the Spoiler thread.

Anyway, I still lurk here often because some of the most engaging debates I've seen were on this site. And yeah, I am still fond of the old school forums format. I've been here since like 2010, but I forgot my original account info.

Trains of thought of Sanji's decision:

• I think he's using it more for disguise than powerup. I know some people said he can just cover his face, but the suit can also hide his fighting style. Think of Zoro; he's just an average guy until you see his 3 swords, now the average civilian knows who he is. It would be like that for Page One and Drake; they could potentially realize that they're fighting Blackleg Sanji if they see some random Soba shop owner using flaming kicks. I mean, they already know his Captain is here, and behind bars. By using the Raid suit, he can hide the source of power of his kicks behind the 'jets' of the boots, as well as his skywalk. They'd think that they're fighting a Germa Member.

• On the other hand, Sanji's most recent Bounty poster clearly states he is 'Vinsmoke Sanji.' So although the bounty is fairly recent, there is an offchance Page One might make the connection, making Sanji's choice futile.

• I'm also surprised to see Sanji use it so early as well; I thought Oda was going to save it for some major, desperate character development arc. Using the raid suit now is very, ahem devisive ducks

I'm really intrigued by Vivi's relation to Pluton. I feel that the relation is more than 'Bloodline protector/activator.' I mean, being part of an exclusive group that includes Luffy, BB, and Shirahoshi is something else.

Maybe the Pluton blueprints are actually cyborg modifications to make a human a battleship or something lol.

• Another great Cover page from my man Orlumbus. I've been in the military and Orlumbus beating up a crew member just because he found a speck of dust is hilarious. He demands perfection, and his front page covers are doing wonders for his character

• Very pleased that Ryuboshi is getting screentime away from Manboshi. During the FI arc, they nearly always shared the same panel, and I didn't feel too much difference in their characters. Now we can see that the second son can be just as observant and serious as the Fukaboshi. Also it shows Manboshi is very carefree and outgoing.

• Cool to see the Barto Clu- I mean, royal families that are friendly with Luffy. They'll definitely put up a resistance to whatever will happen. They might not be 1st or 2nd tier fighters, but they can more than hold their own.

• Love how Oda included the slavery scene. So simple yet ethically and morally striking.

All in all I really liked this chapter, and not just because of the fanservice!

So I love Orlumbus' cover page. As anyone in the military would tell you, that takes dedication to square yourself and your room daily that early in the morning.

It seems like a simple cover page, but it tells you ALOT about Orlumbus' character with such a simple act.
