There was something majestic about that.
Thank you, Zephos.~
@Monkey:
This was never expected to be different lol.
After which I said, there will be gridlock for the foreseeable future.

The Republicans do this at extremely their own risk. Look how much it strangled the patience of people for the last four years.

Lol, normally this would make me sad, but I can't stop laughing at the idiocy of posting these type comments using their real public accounts on one the most popular social websites.
Reminds me of them Hunger Game tweets a while back.
You know, I live in the South. And if there's anything I've learned in the South it's that racists (at least around here) are both: 1) incapable of complex thought and 2) cowards.
It's a pretty interesting and consistent thing I've noticed.
lol at "see a coinensadince???"

Too true. I've seen some Republicans (sorry can't remember the names) on TV interviews saying that the current incarntation of the Party has to change, as they are now, they are alienating too many people.
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
It's official, Romney is at 47% of the vote. bwahahahahahahahahahaha
While a lot of people, especially conservatives, will round that up to 48%, I think that the 47% vote will stick to Romney for the rest of his life.
Romney is also a million votes behind McCain's 2008 total at this point, which means that they had an absolutely terrible return on investment for the amount of money spent. Sure, there are plenty of votes that have yet to be counted, but the vast bulk of them are in area friendly to Obama. California still has about 30% of the vote there to be counted.
I've seen estimates that the final margin of victory in the popular vote will be around 3.14%, which is almost a full point higher than Bush's 2004 win over Kerry. It would also mean that the election was easy as pi for Obama.
@Monkey:
lol at "see a coinensadince???"
I think the "stop making tweets on my account whoever you are" line from the first kid is even funnier.
Woman gets fired from Cold Stone for racist, assassination-happy tweet:

"Oh no, that's not right! They're just kids and you're ruining their lives by exposing what pieces of shit they are!"
Hmm… yup. That's, uh, what happens when they make their bigoted selves known publicly, via public social media.

Oh, Alabama and Mississippi, you charmers <3
Florida finally officially called for Obama. See that Republicans? Your voter suppression efforts might just have had the opposite effect.
What's up with that one tweet on the tip of the Yucatan?

I Already posted this.
Ah, my bad. For some reason I thought you had just posted the initial article about the tweets themselves, and not the fallout.
Wow. It's kinda disturbing to see such a bundled up group of tweets in my area of Louisiana.
Not looking forward to walking around in the next few days.

Gay rights scoreboard.
Reposting this from awhile before as it's been updated.
Stand out continues to be how much of a huge turd Pennsylvania is. (and that British people are bad at categorizing the western half of the country regionally lol)
I'm in Arizona, and this state is pretty much a turd as well…
@Monkey:

I'll say. It's the only state stopping us from completing the Hospital visitation and Adoption wheels. Now if only we could get the complete Northeast set on the Marriage wheel…

Yeah, Pennsylvania was the only surprise on that entire scoreboard, everything else was by standard "party lines".
Guys you don't understand PA doesn't vote on anything controversial. We just like to wait until everyone else has done it and then we can do it do it :)

Isn't the problem that between Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania is Deliverance?
We don't really like to talk about central PA >>
somehow i figured all states were like that. Like outside of NYC is redneck territory. But i guess other states don't have that problem for some reason.
@Monkey:
between Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania
How does that work exactly?
And while Pennsylvania does have that whole Appalachia in the middle situation, I have to point out that several other states that are wholly or partially Appalachian as well are better than Pennsylvania according to that wheel.
And it's a pity that the Northeast can't trade Pennsylvania to the Midwest for Iowa.

Nah, upstate New York isn't exactly great, but it's no Appalachia.
Don't forget there's big and small cities alike up there, Albany, Syracuse, Utica, Rochester, Buffalo.
And there's no such thing as New England rednecks except for in maybe Maine.
Vermont is one of the most rural states and it's like literally a Scandinavian country politics wise.
In CT the sparsely populated hills (Northeast and Northwest parts) are either full of boring people or rich New York businessmen.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
There is the term "Swamp Yankee" lol, but those people aren't like super conservative poor miners or whatever.
They're just boring people. And these days you can't be very rural with like a half hour drive to Providence or Hartford or Worcester lol.

That's true, even Kentucky has a few legs up on old Penn.
If Illinois can drag it's vast hinterland of farmers into progress by the hem of Chicago, the combined effort of Pittsburgh and Philly should easily conquer the highlands. But something seems to be stuck in the mud there.

Generalize much? Are you saying the entire Tri-state area outside of NYC is redneck?
@Master:

Upstate isn't in the tri-state area lol, and trust me, he isn't saying that.

I lived 40 minutes from NYC by car for most of my life, and when a stranger at a Christmas party at the in-laws' place (on Long fucking Island) heard that, she called my cousin and me "hicks," to our faces. I think we just laughed because it was so stupid. Plus I was like 16. People are ig'nant.

A girl from Long Island I met at school thought Connecticut was just a bunch of trees lol.
I imagine some people think cities just kind of end and don't really comprehend the idea of a metro area.
Like you cross the Bronx into New Rochelle and it's the Yukon all of a sudden or something.
Wait, something lies beyond NYC???? I thought once you leave it you end up in Deliverance country.
Upstate New York is hella conservative. Enough so that, for the election, I forgot that NYC was a part of the state and started to fear the state going red, haha.
I wouldn't say Long Island is rednecks, but we do have a lot of conservative areas over here. Mainly in the areas right next to hispanic neighborhoods that are filled with racist white guys with Romney/Ryan banners hanging up.
That Texas Succession petition is nearly at 20,000 votes. I kinda wana see them make it to 25,000 just to see the hilarious reactions when the Obama administration shoots them down.
Texas v White (the first and only time Texas has ever been against anything with the word "white" in it) declared that states cannot leave the Union by unilateral action so all of these petitions to secede are utterly useless on top of totally idiotic.
Didn't we talk about this earlier and concluded that Texas would completely fall apart if it left the Union?
Oh, Texas totally won't be allowed to secede, none of those states will. The fun part comes when those petitions reach 25,000 (which is slightly less than 1% of the population of Texas…) and the Obama administration has to respond to it as per their promise. I'll get a bag of popcorn, and watch the hilarious show unfold as Obama says the equivalent of "Hell No" on TV and watch the toothless masses butthurt about it all day.
But… I don't want to secede from the Union.
@RobbyBevard:
But… I don't want to secede from the Union.
Reason# 4456 that Texas would fall apart if it seceded is young savvy guys like you would fly the coup en mass, and not only largely depopulate urban areas but brain drain the hell out of the world's newest unrecognized state. I imagine Austin would be completely empty.
Wait…..people in Texas are actually set-on on seceding? In this day and age?
I say it's time for a Civil War II.
This is obviously the only way to return power to the states. Also, racism.
Get out of there while you can, Robby.
Oh man this is good for a laugh. I needed that guys.
Fun Fact: Civil War II would be even more of a disaster for the South because the Union at least wasn't part of NATO last time lol.
Texas v White (the first and only time Texas has ever been against anything with the word "white" in it) declared that states cannot leave the Union by unilateral action so all of these petitions to secede are utterly useless on top of totally idiotic.
So no state in the US has the freedom to break free?
Seems kinda un-american
They manage to succeed and then we just take it back.
Or Mexico gets it first.
So no state in the US has the freedom to break free?
Seems kinda un-american
No state is like an autonomous ethnic entity though, like Scotland or Catalonia. It's not quite the same deal as what you may be used to over in Yurpe.
Look at it this way.
If Puerto Rico becomes a state and Texas secedes, we won't have to change our flag.~
I think just because it would freak them out more, the NATO country who could lead the charge should be Turkey lol.
