All this talk made me go and check out the posts in Bleach Asylum. In particular, the weekly Jump TOC thread.
Some of those posts had me laughing for nearly a minute.Seriously, what magical insight do they have that I don't?Why am I unable to see the supposed above peers depth and maturity of Bleach? Why am I unable to see just how much of an atypical shounen it is,to the point where those insecure Jump people can't tolerate it's uniqueness enough for it to recieve the stellar popularity such a wonderful series deserves?
Why?Is it because my IQ is under 190?Is it because I'm too used to quote on quote kiddish shounen series and thus am unable to appreciate the elevated, spiritually "seinen-like" maturity of this amazing masterpiece? Is it because I'm not on whatever wonderful crack they are on?
Or maybe is it because I'm not in a position where I'd desperately have to make up self-uplifting justifications to explain why my object of ardent fanboy-worship is doing so badly at ratings, rankings, sales or whatever it's doing badly at,all while periodically putting down titles that are doing better than it?
Still, this one particular line takes the cake.Infact,it takes all kinds of cake:
Maybe the new head editor is very religious and hates how Kubo's manga is 'Blasphemous'?
^What is he even talking about?I just hope that's not about some "deep provocative religious imagery and symbolism" they've hallucinated, because I'm afraid my measly IQ can't handle it.
I wonder what their reactions will be if they get to discover The Applied Logic.I think it will boil down to:
"That "Daz" person and that other "Gliblord" person are MEANIES!"
