I thought we had a new version.

@Tamike:
This video of Storm Generations is both retarded and funny.
Also who should voice Raikage?
Keith motherfucking David.
If not him then Kevin Michael Richardson will probably do.
@cyan I am only saying this to Rpg. I never said anyone else has no arguement. Plenty of people here have good arguements. Rpg,outspec, robby etc….( Your not one of them though)
@Bobjr One and only version. You need a change though.
I like how the crowd screams in awesomness when Sasuke goes psycho face.
I wonder how they made a moveset for Karin because she doesn't have any in the manga.

The scene is pretty good but your vid quality is terrible Juju. Not surprising.

I'd hate to say it, but that's probably more Fox's fault than anything, as only Hulu's Family Guy clips are available.
I'll leave to y'all to decide if that's a good or bad thing.
Sees video
So that's how Kishi keeps getting work.
A close up of emos using a wide angle lens to appease the Bagel Heads.
What the hell is wrong with Kishimoto? Why is he trying to retcon all the shit that made part 1 of Naruto readable/watchable? And what the hell is with him having the dead parents of character X and Y sealed up inside of them? I can understand Naruto to an extent, but this is just bullshit.
So am I to presume all characters with no present mommy, Lee, Neji, etc. (or shown at least) have their mothers sealed up inside of them as well?
In other words, I am pissed that he is taking back what I liked about Gaara. He was a killer and an asshole and he was what he was for good reason. And then he changed and became good. This rewrite is one giant cop-out.
Oh and he retconned that dude that died in front of Gaara as well. So originally he actually couldn't forgive Gaara for the mother's death, now in this "version" the father told him to lie and put on an act. And originally we were lead to believe mommy hated Gaara but she really loved him.
CUTE, right~
Fuck you Kishi.
What characters remain who's backstory hasnt been buttfucked yet? Gaara is in the middle of it and I hope he'll resist, but we have Lee and Bee. And thats pretty much what I can think off. There's no way Kishi will let Lee use either ninjutsu or Genjutsu, it just cant happen. Its not a flashback, its his defining trait. Suppose it happens, we can always hope Kishi gets attacked by rabid Rock Lee and Guy fans leaping out from the crowd and going: "KONOHA SENPU!" and "DYNAMIC ENTRY!"
From my perspective, those two are the only ones holding real martial arts in a stance at this point. Since everyone else is using magic all over the place, Lee and Guy are the only ones with any decent ninja performance, the other stand there playing with their hands making all those seals and using magic.
They get removed, and the only thing that matters is who can make the flashier magic effect (Which naruto has a lead on because he already shines like a reflex in the night. Though I think he looks retarded like that, colored page or not).
Also, i'll contribute to the fun time with this:
Mother: You know my darling, people with bloodline limits are not really hated at all. Your dad and I just put on that act with our friends so we could help you build some character.
Dad: I want you to know that we love you even if you think otherwise because of your mystical powers.
Haku: ^.-
Zabuza: Now thats some bullshit.
So I take it that over the past three and half months Naruto hasn't gotten any better?
if anything it's gotten worse. Naruto himself is now more jesus-like than ever before.

It got so bad that Kisame decided to kill himself.
Kisame was wise, he killed himself because he knew this was coming.
One good thing about training then, it made me stop reading the bad series along with the good and I don't have the urge to watch the train wreck every week now that I have internet again.
I sense a sappy moment in the next chapter.
There's no way Kishi will let Lee use either ninjutsu or Genjutsu, it just cant happen.
If Kishi did that, I would label him as worse than Kubo.
If Kishi did that, I would label him as worse than Kubo.
Why? He'd be a comedic genius.
I thought they've shown Rock Lee's parents haven't they?
Im starting to imagine some pretty dumb moments actually coming true now. Again, given what we've seen its all possible.
Gaaras dad being misunderstood, Naruto becoming jesus and the all so awesome battle strategies of ninjas:
! >! Everyone standing lined up like that. I see no problem with it, its not like they are Ninjas now are they? Haha, I swear I could have been fooled. =)
! >! Yeah, nothing wrong with charging on a desert downhill a Sanddune. Its not like you could just take advantage of it or anything. Not to mention the insane "GENIUS" of charging straight forward. again, cant possibly be ninjas. X)
Yeah I know I might repeat myself on these 2 pics, but I cant help it. Strategy is no longer a discussion since its just charging and yelling, we see characters being turned 180 so I would not be surprised for whatever Kishi is going to do next. His claim of making an epic battle is not so off the chart. What happens never ceases to amaze me. =)
Anyways, predictions for the next chapter:
1. Will the new development between Gaara and his dad lead anywhere?
2. … Fuck it, I cant predict anything anymore. Things just happen without any reason, just shit happening here and there. x(
Why? He'd be a comedic genius.
I thought they've shown Rock Lee's parents haven't they?
Well, in that case, both are comical geniuses, so they're in the same league… >>
Just tell me the Naruto move you were talking about. Ian interested to see it. Anyways
Posting an extremely low quality Family Guy video. It's such a fitting metaphor it hurts.
I thought they've shown Rock Lee's parents haven't they?
No, and I don't think they will. He seems to spend all his time training or with Guy.
Isnt guy sort of like his teacher and false parent? Lee idolizes the man to the extreme: he dresses as him, has the same hairstyle and fiery attitude and even sets his goals to become like him. And lets not forget the heartwarming scene between them when Lee broke down from all the hardships he was going through after the exam.
Guy convinces him to take on the surgery even if it brings a risk of death, because giving his dreams up would mean giving up who he is. I do not know though if that "we both die" part came from the manga, but it was passable. Guy had set his goals to help Lee make his dreams come true, and if he dies during surgery, his goals would die with Lee at that point."
Pretty much my favorite character for stated reasons. He has a goal that he means to carry out, that even dropouts can become strong, as far as that he's aiming for it without any Genjutsu or Ninjutsu whatsoever. I'll say fuck naruto because he gets his power for free, from anywhere whenever his current powers can be challenged. And the idiot cant even handle it. He gets new powers for a short period then goes aiming for new kinds of powers without training or harnessing them whatsoever. Much different from how he was determined to learn Rasengan and Summoning back in part 1, the length of Sage mode being useful for transcending Naruto's character in the story was kept pretty damn short.
Back to Lee, what has happened with him ever since part 1? Not a damn thing. He's been brushed off along with any other credible character like Gaara, Neji, Kiba, Shino… Temari, Kankuro, Hinata and plenty more I'd love to mention but cant really think of right now. Funny how these characters so quickly become more fun to watch than Naruto just because Naruto does the same thing over and over. You could argument the rest of the characters would act in a similar way yes had they been given more screen time, but we see them so much less its kind of forgiving. And plus, when we do see them they're bound for action anyway. Naruto just sort of stands there, poses and screams his repeat lines; Dattebayo, Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, Rasengan as if he's a Pokemon.
But oh well, lets see if Kishi decides to touch Lee's character in any future chapters. And may the devil help him when he does, cause who knows how many readers would be upset to see one of the stronger part 1 characters get a 180 degree twist. Unless the fans have all converted to the kind you can find on naruto chat forums, and the haters residing on sites like this.
Also, my word on this picture:
! What the **** is that? For starters, I already knew Naruto was going to shine in an outer glow completely hiding his whole body with the exception of his frame and face. But that does not even look credible. This is what is supposed to be striving for peace and faith from all the Ninjas in the known Naruto World?
! Well gratz, they sold their dignity to someone who doesn't know how politics even work, nor the inner structure how how to preserve a peace. He just screams his tag line and preaches peace. Why I am thinking of a hypocrite, I am rather curious to see proven false.
! I also love the eyes. His dad has blue eyes, his mom has purple and Naruto's eyes somehow come out glowing RED! Was keeping his normally blue eyes too convincing for peace?
A Sand-looking demon spawn screaming Dattebayo and preaching false peace I'll say. ^^
(Also look at the index finger on his left hand. Cute nail.)
The only reason why Kishi was focusing nicely on the 12 "rookies" in part 1 was because he wasn't allowing the story to involve itself too much outside of the realm of Konoha. We were focusing on very skilled kids growing up slowly, and that was great. We didn't need to know too much at this point worldwide. The story was just beginning. What should have happened in part 2, was the same. Watch the kids grow and become Jounin and surpass their teachers all in their own way. What stopped this? Sasuke, and Akatsuki. We all know the constant chasing of Sasuke stopped everything in terms of watching the kids grow. And Akatsuki was not a bad idea, but it probably should have been a terrorist organization created secretly by another nation. Like the Rock or Mist nation. Instead it was just a rogue terrorist group against the world. That in itself caused many problems since no nation until recently was concerned about Akatsuki, even when their jinchuuriki were kidnapped. It just all seems implausible. Such an irresponsible world of skilled, educated ninja are making these types of mistakes? Not only that, but the whole notion that jinchuuriki were exiled in some cases is also really stupid. It just sucks. Kishi should have stuck with character development, and even if you had an occasional plot hole, it still wouldn't have seemed that bad. Decent character development along with decent growth is all Kishi needed to focus on. He along with his editors probably knew that for the short run, for however long they wanted the manga to last, all they needed to do was create a problem where the world would be in danger and set the main character up to save it. Anything else they would not bother explaining. All Kishi thinks he needs to do is show us some flashy fights and people will be excited. But many people see through that shit.
In all honesty, I believe Kishi hates his own manga. He probably was forced by editors and other people to do things he didn't want to do. That is why occasionally we see badly drawn chapters. It's a sign that he's not motivated to do something he wants to do. With Oda it seems like the opposite. Oda loves his manga and it shows. But I could be wrong.
I believe Kishimoto cared about his series when he started out and was actually making an effort with his work but somewhere in part 2 he decided he didn't care anymore, but kept going with it because of his (and Shueisha's) greed. They just wanted more money and didn't care about the actual quality of the product. They thought that the very high quality part one had in the beginning with Zabuza and Chunin Exams would be enough to keep the franchise afloat forever. Sadly they were pretty much right.
He said he wanted to do a mafia manga badly, too bad he just showed off some crappy baseball oneshot instead.
So Juju's banned again, wonder what he did this time?

Yeah, I agree with this post. I also believe Kishi stopped caring after the first half of Shippuden. Oda loves his manga, and the proof I have is that he changed his drawing style because he thought no one would read if he used the same old style.

Judging from what I know, Kishi used to be pretty lonely, had very poor results in school and with girls(I feel sorry for him). Eventually, he had his success with Naruto. He must have found himself flooded with fan letters from fangirls (Even Oda says that Boys are too lazy to write) asking him to put more Sasuke and romance. He must have not been used to this kind of attention that he listened to his fans and he was wrong. Naruto seems to be another series victim of its own success.
^ Ouch… that almost makes me feel sorry for him.

there's romance in naruto? of the heterosexual variety i mean
Now Aizen is off panels in Bleach, I want him to make a cameo appearance in Naruto.

Yes. But the homosexual romance greatly outweighs the heterosexual romance.
yea, remember Kurenai and Asuma?
I mean there are explicit "I love you" lines (Hinata and Sakura).
I found this once in a lifetime comment on youtube word for word a few weeks ago on the war.
THE PLOT WILL SUK WITHDOUT SASUKE, SASUKE MAKES EVETYTHING INTRESTING. HE TRAINS ALOT AND HAS MORE ABILITIES. NARUTO KEEPS SPAMMING KAGE BUNSHINS UNLIKE SASUKE. SASUKE FTMFW

I disagree, I don't think kishi writes naruto solely for his paycheck. A) How can kishi "keep" going if he hasn't even reached the goal of naruto, Naruto saving the world and becoming hokage etc.It would be stupid to just randomly stop the series right in the thick of things. Until kishi meets these conditions and still decides to continue can you speculate his doing it for "greed".
B) If kishi was just in it for the money there are much easier ways of milking off Naruto than going through the trouble of drawing a weekly manga, do you even know how hard it is to publish weekly comics, there are virtually no BREAKS!! and certainly not enough free time to indulge in the money he makes.
C) It's totally possible that kishi isn't as motivated as he used to be but it doesn't mean he doesn't care about naruto enough to finish what he started. If he really didn't care he could have just ended naruto abruptly or just resorted to scribbles or even just released 10 chaptes a year and go on extended breaks and play Dragon quest and He'd still be making money off of naruto instead of what he's doing now which is always meeting his dead lines and hardly ever taking breaks in the decade+ his worked on Naruto.

I believe when Kishimoto started out writing this series he actually cared about what he was doing (and I even think he had talent believe it or not) but I don't think he's putting nearly enough effort into the story anymore. For the past couple of years it feels like he's been phoning it in and hasn't been putting in his best effort. But maybe I'm wrong maybe Sanji499 was on the mark with Kishimoto just having the worst idea for how to go about the series.
Sanji499 do you have a source for your "Kishi was lonely and miserable as a child" theory because that's very interesting if true.
I think the art alone is proof that Kishi doesn't care as much anymore. The art is absolutely awful nowadays, where as it used to be good

Does that apply to his twin brother as well? Both of them had a good start with their respective mangas. The latter ended his series lousily…while Kishi Naruto....is heading the same path as well. Maybe its in the genes.

Ok this is getting a bit out-there don't you thing? It's all fun and games bashing Naruto but don't interpret things you only have a vague understanding off. You've never even seen the person before. Why do think you have the vaguest idea of how he thinks by just reading naruto? Personally I think it's an awful Idea trying to connects his past, social life etc with naruto.
You can tell a lot about a writer by what he writes. Subject, recurring themes, what characters say, opinions, etc. Even things like the art style, and the amount of work put into chapters over a period of time say a lot.
Its fair to say we can tell a fair bit about Kishi from his 10 years of Naruto.

personally, I think its an awful idea not to do so at all. Nothing is isolated, and writing draws a lot on influences to the author that happened in real life. People draw inspiration from their lives, and how someone's lived will always impact writing, even if they don't realize it. Hell, I'd imagine drawing inspirations from your past might be even more important to mangaka since they generally have so little free time that drawing from the present seems like it'd present more of a challenge

Didnt Naruto reached his goal at the end of the pain-arc? He saved Konoha, was acknowledged as the best ninja from his village (as the only one who matters, in fact) and the best in the world automatical, because of Konoha being the only relevant village. He was loved and adored by anyone and could have become new hokage instead of Danzo without problems.
And do you realize how Madara and his stupid plans werent mentioned (or madara as a living threat, at least) before the itachi-sasuke-fight? And how this fight, as well as sasuke reaching the full potential of his sharingan felt much too early? How akazuki in general was defeated much too soon and how they should have survived (or at least some of them) until the ninja "world war"? How without anyone from them alive anymore Kishi had to resort to this stupid zombie-clusterfuck, whose fights in turn feel boring, illogical and repetitive, in short like something that wasnt planned in such a form? How sasuke following madara doesnt make any sense at all? How the sage-technique felt unnecessary? How the other villages, introduced after the pain-arc, felt kind of blank and out of place (they should have been introduced, while their Jinchuriki were targeted)?
And now imagine, how all this would have played out, if the series had ended after the pain-arc; just with a conclusion to the sasuke-topic pinned on! Madara and his idiotic plans wouldnt exist, instead we would have kept tobi. The other villages would remain mainly unexplored, which wouldnt be all too tragic, seeing how poorly they were handled (with the exception of Kumogakure). Naruto would have beaten the Big Bad at the end, while Sasuke would have beaten his personal nemesis. The pain-arc itself as a final arc, could have played out different. While Naruto would still defeat Nagato at the end (with his fully-evolved nine-tails-form. There wouldnt be a swiftly forgotten sage-form and because Killerbee never appeared, this laughable, current bijuu-form, neither) All the Konoha-11 would have beaten the different paths of pain, including one epic fight against konan and maybe Zetsu or tobi (maybe one of them could have survived the whole series). Kisame is a wild card: He could have get his final fight against Might Guy in Konoha or fought against this sword-guy, who accompanied Sasuke. Remember how both clashed briefly during the itachi-fight and that the sword-guy wants to revive the Swordsman of the Mist? Him defeating Kisame would have made sense; if only for akazuki not being obliterated completly by konoha ninjas. Hinatas confession at the end of the series (and naruto reacting to it,ofc) would conclude her sidestory. And this being the final arc, there wouldnt have been any needs for the mass-revival-BS. Quite contrary, the new generation of konoha-ninjas, proven against pain, could take their place. Naruto could gain the hokage-title. Everything would have made a lot more sense.

This series is now one big, circle-jerk. I am currently holding it at the same intellectual and creative level as Pokémon.
@Pix:
This series is now one big, circle-jerk. I am currently holding it at the same intellectual and creative level as Pokémon.
You talking about the whole pokemon franchise, or just a part of it like just the anime or the games or what? Since I feel like that isn't completely fair to pokemon depending on your answer
Just the anime. It's like if Ash won a tournament and then decided to keep going for no reason. The series has no business following the most unappealing and awful protagonist in the history of Shonen Jump when he's accomplished all he wants. Move on.
I know Oda has said One Piece won't end when Luffy gets to Raftel and finds the One Piece, but I doubt there's going to be another treasure and the series will just loop. If a series has run its course and succeeded, it should end on a high note. Don't drag it out, you're just beating a dead horse.
And that's what the series is to me now.
A dead, rotting, smelly horse.
After Luffy becomes PK. I think Oda will make one long epilogue. It will be a long farewell to all these characters and the straw hats are likely to be disbanded in order to go back to their own lives.
Naruto earning the respect of the village should have been epilogue material. I have to say it was a great moment too bad Kishi did not end it here.
I just visited a German One Piece forum and they praise the current war in Naruto, calling it a real war, unlike the chaotic battle that was the Marineford war.
What the fuck?
