Pretty funny, although I was a bit annoyed that an awesome villain like Scar was degraded to the level of a pussy villain like Ulquiorra, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.

Bleach's characters are so lifeless. I just had that reinforced to me when skimming through the filler and feeling absolutely no chemistry between the characters, even with voice acting and animation. All they did was exposit to each other. No life at all.
And of course Chad shows up just to end in a pool of his own blood again.

It really is. Toei is already such fail when taken on its own, but when it's compared to the animation and general competency of Bleach's adaptation that's when you really want to start clawing out your eyes when having to sit through slow pans of static images and the like.

That's the especially frustrating part, that the crappier series has the better animation. Toei better come up with more decent fillers. Like more Grand Jipangu (srsly), or something that won't require them to change the main plot with stupid crap that 99% of the time involves some annoying little kid who hates pirates. Some of the implied filler is good, or the G8 arc for example. but minutes of seeing the exact same buildings over and over gets old super fast. Or random flashbacks placed in awkward spots.

Toei's treatment of ID and Marineford had a few gems of animation here and there but was mostly a godawful trainwreck.
Whereas Pierrot took a stupidly prolonged fight that lasted over twenty chapters and made it rather fun to watch.

I don't know if Peirrot should be given a medal for making something like Bleach as entertaining as they did, or punished for keeping it alive so long.

Rewarded. Were it not for the Bleach anime I would not have become interested enough in manga to start reading One Piece in the first place. I have Bleach to thank for being the massive OP nut I am today.

^Agreed. Give them a thousand medals for Christs sake. If only Pierrot got OP and Toei got Bleach. If Toei had Bleach then it probably would be cancelled by now. Although the voice actors for One Piece would probably be different if they were with Pierrot, and that would be a shame because I've become rather fond of the Strawhat's Japanese VA's. I finally got those horrible 4kids voices out of my head and now I usually hear the Japanese cast. I say this as someone who is perfectly fine with dubs.
Although on the other other hand, from what I hear the reason Naruto wasn't edited heavily like One Piece was, is because Pierrot provided Viz with guidelines for what they could or couldn't edit and Viz had to follow them. Toei didn't do that, they allowed 4kids to run wild as long as they got their money. So it probably would be a good thing if Pierrot got One Piece because then Oda would be more appreciated in America.
Ah well, there's nothing we can do at this point. At least we all know that the One Piece manga is genius Shonen.

The latest episode of Bleach…was boring. It may have had some well animated moments but also moments of very staticy one-frame scenes done in sequence for some sort of art that didn't work. And...so our main baddie is making and using clones of SS and kicked the originals out? Doesn't feel that much like an interesting arc to me...outside Kon's usage though.

That main villain design is almost as bad as that midget caveman-looking dude from the Amagai arc.
