I've heard that of poor translation of Usopp becoming Liar Bo, whom I'm guessing is same as Liar Bu. Who is Joeb suppose to be?
Joeb, believe it or not was Chopper.

Weird translations are fun. Heck i still prefer to call Sanji Sunkist. And you have to admit that Sauron is cooler than Zoro.
Question: Why did I have to drink while reading this post? Well, gotta still agree with wolfwood.
But Clock Dell and Joeb, wtf
Do you guys think that Crocodile had a much larger bounty than he did pre-shichibukai (81000000), before WB defeated him. But because either WB slaughtered his whole crew or his crew abandoned him, the WG thought he wasn't that much of a threat anymore because he had lost his dream and was all alone so they lowered his bounty a whole lot?
You can't lower a bounty, it raises or disappears nothing else.
wasn't it mentioned that it was his very first bounty and that 81 000 000 was astronomically high for a first bounty so that's why he got the job? (together with him having the power of a logia fruit, which, for mediocre pirates, is unbeatable unless you happen to find the weakness like Luffy)

It sounds like you're thinking of Hancock to me, which still wouldn't be exactly right. I just don't remember such a line for Croc.
do logias age?
will luffy have a son or daughter?
Yeah that "80 million as the first bounty" thing was Hancock, Oda only said in Volume 36 SBS that 81m bounty didn't correspond with Crocodile's true strength and if he still would've had an active bounty it would've been at least double that much.
I always assumed that comment was that it wouldn't have been doubled because of the strength of Baroque Works themselves, but simply them assuming him to be more dangerous because he was coercive enough to assemble a group like Baroque Works, made up of many strong individuals, and thus a threat because he was good at gaining followers.
I read all of the newest chapters on MangaStream, but I'm rereading it, and I cant find a good site. I've been using Mangareader, but I absolutely CANNOT stomach this terrible translation by Psycho Duck and Vee. Several other manga sites seem to use their translation as well. Can someone help?
I don't think you will find any scanlation of the beginning of OP with good translations, what you can do is either buy the tanks as someone suggested, or you can read better translations who weren't used in scanlations (and use the RAWs or the scanlations to follow the images), such as stephen's translations (he translated up to chapter 545).
And for newer chapters I recommend Cnet's translations, or better yet scanlations who uses his translations, they are much better than those used in mangastream's scanlations…
do logias age?
Why, is there some evidence for this?
See, I've been wondering if eating a devil fruit affects on mental development somehow. I mean, Luffy's still acting like seven-year-old and Chopper sometimes more like a toddler, as if they were stuck on that age/state they were in when they ate those fruits. Well, of course there's Robin who doesn't act like a kid, but then again I think she's always been dull like that.
will luffy have a son or daughter?
Just the time and more importantly Oda-sensei can answer this question.
do logias age?
I think it's safe to say that all three admirals appear older than they did when they were vice admirals.
also a good reference would be Buggy or Moria (although we have no clue if cool moria had his fruit at that time) but Buggy did in the day he was an apprentice an Rogers ship.
They are talking about Logia's… and I don't see why they wouldn't age. Otherwise I am pretty sure the WG would be full of all the super powerful Logia's knowing that their users dont age...
Anybody else wondering what the hell happened to Daddy Masterson? Don't get me wrong I wasn't expecting him to be a huge character or anything but he definitely had potential to be a lesser Mihawk type figure to Usopp. Especially since he was being praised as a top-tier sniper/marksman, makes me wonder how a guy like that was just essentially tossed aside.
Herculesnnnn >>> Daddy Materson
@Rubber:
Herculesnnnn >>> Daddy Materson
Yeah I think we'd all have to agree with that, but it's not necessarily fair. If Masterson got fleshed out a little bit more he'd probably be pretty awesome as well.

Is he a manga canon character? or anime/novel only?
He was supposed to be included but due to the fact that chapter 100 had to be the entrance to Grandline he was removed.
But he appeared in that Loguetown novel, him and the barman that knew Roger i believe.
He's a real character that Oda drew up, but he was cut in editing so that Oda could have the crew enter the Grand Line on chapter 100.
Either way, he quit putting his life at risk for the sake of his daughter. There shouldn't be any reason for him to get from East Blue to the New World.
Unless someone harms his daughter :ninja:
^ That means the culprit was a pansyass who fled the New World for East Blue and started acting all high and mighty back there for "returning" from the New World… kinda like how Krieg was back then. Hm, there should be plenty of douchebags like him rampaging around there now, ever since WB made his final speech.
I'm pretty sure someone asked this before, but what would happen if a devil fruit was split in two and two different people ate each half?
I'm guessing only one will get the power and the other will get to say "I ate a fruit that had the taste of poo"?
whoever bites first gets the power, the other will taste shit.
Hey yeah. That Bogart guy. I hope Oda will make something of him. I don't remember if he even said anything, but that one panel of him slashing guns like butter was cool. I doubt he's at Zoro's level, but maybe he'd be a good match for Brook who still hasn't had a chance to shine even now that he's soul king. :<
Which two SBS questions said what animals the straw hats are?
Which two SBS questions said what animals the straw hats are?
SBS Volume 20 ["What animals represent each of the 5 crew members, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami and Usopp?]
Not too sure on this one, but I think Oda supplemented some answers within to the previous question.
SBS Volume 40 ["What colors represent the crew. What do each of the Straw Hat Crew smell like?"]

You have to remember that this person is the first mate of GARP THE HERO OF THE MARINES, who is considered to be admiral level. He has to have some merit, you don't get to be garp's first mate if you are a nobody. I'd be very disappointed if brook could take him out.
But… Dammit, I just want Brook to be useful. Like actually use his sword skills and get a decent fight instead of floating around in the water. Why is it always gotta be Zoro taking on enemies? Even for parrying King Neptune's trident, Zoro stepped in.
Is Oda even going to give Bogart a more important role? What has he done? He's pretty much only been standing in the background. We got like one panel of him doing something cool and besides the fact that he's Garp's right-hand man, we don't know a thing about him or how strong he really is. I suppose if he does get to fight, then I can't complain even if it's against Zoro but it seems unlikely at this point.
He wasn't present for the War but Oda did remember to include him in chapter 0. Either Oda is saving Bogart for later like he did with Rayleigh, Marco, and Jean Bart and is possibly doing with Fishman in Sunny pirates, Bronze, and the Goggle dude seen with Dragon or he is a nobody.

I know how you feel man, but it always seems Oda knows exactly how we fans think and knows exactly what we want. Seeing him battle the flying fish riders over the water and putting them to sleep was cool. His speech about Luffy returning was even cooler(not fighting I know) and you can bet he is going to get an awesome one on one very soon to show what he's made of.
The thing with Brook was his timing of joining was poor. It was right after Franky joined, in which we had seen him fight more then once. Right after Brook joined there was an arc…and then the crew was split up. We still have yet to see him fight since the timeskip though, so I'm very excited.
Has chocolate ever been mentioned in One Piece?
Yeah, kinda:
Chapter 407 cover story & Chapter 497 page 11 ->Luffy is holding boxes of Grachoco (Grand Line chocolate)

Oh… Cool! Thanks! :D
I read the "How Do You Pronounce Moriah's Name" thread in its entirety and I still don't get how to pronounce Moriah! Somebody help!
It's Mo-ree-yah.
well like, if you watched the anime, you'd like, know
You chose your forum name well, Glib. Very well indeed.
Anybody find it strange that a crew waits two years to proceed with a plan to imitate another crew, and they coincidentally decide to start recruiting right when the real crew convenes on the same island? I think Rayleigh pulled an inception on Demalo. A jedi mind trick if you will to create a distraction so the SH crew could set off safely. It's the only explanation.
… or a coincidence happened.
He wore a fake strawhat.

So what other crews disappeared that Demalo could imitate to recruit powerful followers on a pseudo-island everyone passes on their way through the Grand Line? And while I'm sure there are plenty of time periods between news about other pirates, 2 years is a long time. And imitating anyone like Yonkou level would be asking to die. So who do you pick to imitate to recruit for the New World? I doubt Demalo actually sat on Sabaody for 2 years, more likely he got there and decided he needed stronger crewmates for the NW.

It could have been the 700 days before that, but it was that day. I ain't buyin it.

Remember that time Sanji spent multiple minutes underwater without suffocating, despite the fact that he was simultaneously being curbstomped by Kuroobi?

Because nobody assumed Luffy was dead 700 days before that, since his last appearance with Rayleigh and Jinbe showed him being perfectly alive. It was only after they weren't responsible for any incidents for a long time that people started suspecting he was dead (which was a necessity for Demalo to even consider his plan).

I can believe that, because he's fookin' Sanji man.
Anyone have any idea what the next big One Piece project is? Apparently the editor in chief of jump had a meeting with Oda and several one piece team members and said a new big project has begun.
Yeah, it's called the next chapter.
@Sonic:
Yeah, it's called the next chapter.
Oh that is just about as lame an answer as it can be.
If They call me D is right about this big project, it can be very interesting.
Don't be such a smart ass writing it off right away.
