Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2

Chopper's dream has nothing to do with a picture of cherry blossoms. He's already seen the real thing.
He did not go out to sea with Luffy and co. to find a picture of cherry blossoms.
Seeing a picture of cherry blossoms will not "complete his dream".
Chopper is the most sentimental strawhat. He needs to find out WHY extreme beauty could cure illnesses that medicine could not. Choppers dream could go one of many different directions and this path does not seem so "dumbass" as you have so graciously deemed it.
matthew. . .?
16 chara's of ridiculousness
Franky and Robin are perfectly normal, western names. Also Matthew has an extreme passion for devil fruits, this could be a dream of a complete DF catalog, something that would go well with Robin's and Nami's dream. He also fills the roll of apprentice that needs to be filled.
yeah he is not good artist at all -.-'
Please use cannon material as evidence in the MANGA forum.
I would also like to reiterate that I did not make this Theory, nor do I believe it belongs in the dumb prediction thread. It is obvious that the existence of most of the characters in the original post are impossible to prove or disprove, but their back stories and connections with the current crew have Oda's signature all over them. The sentimental Chopper, the random Brooke connection, the elderly man's death; all of these nuances are why I love OP and this possible spoiler showcases them all.

He did draw the Strawhat Jolly Roger.

So, I had this dream last night and it's actually pretty plausible.
In the dream, when Sanji finished gathering the recipes from all the Okama chefs on the island, he flipped it over and found it formed a picture of an adult Sabo being handed a document by Dragon.
While the actual photo seems a little far fetched, I was thinking that Sanji would have at least learned about Sabo or even possibly met him during his interaction with Ivankov and the Okama. Obviously not knowing the Luffy connection, he wouldn't have found it worth mentioning… but I have a feeling that when they encounter Sabo in the New World, Sanji will recognize him in some capacity.

I believe that in the NW,Oda will introduce us a character with a Thunder Fruit Logia.Thunder and Lightning aren't the same so i believe there is a good possibility that the Thunder DF will be introduced, and i really hope that Kaido will be the one to have this power, though making enel's gorogoro no mi looks like a joke in front of his mastery over his thunder fruit

…Thunder is the sound lightning makes.
-
Thunder would be stronger than lightning?
I din't get it. Thunder is the sound, lightning is the flash of light. The only use I see for a thunder fruit is making people deaf.
Also, Goro-goro is giongo for thunder, so Oda didn't make a clear distinction between thunder and lightning when he created Enel. -
i don't get it,here in my country(greece) most people know that thunder and lightning are two different things,i never heard that thunder was the sound of lightning.Maybe i am wrong i just thinking that having a thunder DF user in the NW,and make him have more mastery than enel's gorogoro fruit might be good to see
-
Why not just have a Sound Sound Fruit, it would literally be the same thing.
-
well sorry my mistake here.I thought that thunder and lightning were different things and not that thunder was just the soundeffect of lightning. So forget it no thunder fruit at NW !
-
Can you explain this better? What two words do you have in Greek that you thought corresponded to thunder and lightning?
You got me curious. :P -
well here in greece lightning is called http://el.wikipedia.org/wiki/Αστραπή or in greeklish "astrapi"
and thunder is called http://el.wiktionary.org/wiki/κεραυνός or in greeklish "keraunos"
and that is the reason i got confused!sorry my mistake :) I don't think you will understand much but feel free to search it if you want
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
i don't know if i should write this at the shichibukai thread, but i believe and i hope that there will be NO new shichibukai members(except for buggy maybe) and the reason is because their hype pretty much damaged after croc's and moria's defeat, and i think it would be kinda strange to suddenly come up with 2-3? RANDOM NEW characters and i believe it would be better either to let them stay as they are "kuma hancock mihawk dofla" and because they saw BB/croc betray them and the same goes for moria(who wanted to make a zombie army to be the PK) and somehow with jinbe who wanted to prevent the war and after that he quit of his title not exactly betrayal but something like this or, even disband them which i don't really believe the WG would do something like that
-
Interesting, although I don't know any Greek whatsoever, lol.
I think the second link you sent me would be closer to "lightning bolt".
Both are translated as "lightning", though. http://el.wiktionary.org/wiki/lightning
English is not my first language either, so it gets confusing for me as well. :P -

-
has nothing to do with language. learn science/common sense
-
Besides we already have another (MC)guy with electric powers.
-
Too bad a shrinking DF already exists, although it's non-canon. However, I'm pretty sure Oda wouldn't recycle this idea.
Capone Bege says hi.
-
Oh man I want an arc entirely inside Capones body (the strawhats gets sucked into his body/fortress).
-
that would indeed be a superb idea !
Although, we already saw what kind of destruction the SH's (namely Zoro and Luffy as far as I remember) can inflict on buildings and I wouldn't want Capone to die or to be defeated because of internal bleeding or something silly like that. -
Has it ever been stated what Capone's devil fruit is called? I second the idea about a tour through his body (castle)
-

I don't think any of the supernovas really had official names for their DFs except for Drake, Law, Luffy… Honestly though, Bege is one of my least favorite supernovas despite his mafioso theme, and I'd love to see him be like "why the hell did I think this was a good idea?!" as he gets destroyed internally. Luffy would totally do it too. remembering giant snake from skypiea

What were Drake & Law 's DFs called? I dont think they ever stated the name
-
I thought Capone was pure machine.
-
Never mind. :P For Law's, I was thinking of his room attack which is what people refer to his DF as. As for Drake, he's got an ancient Zoan type, as stated by Apoo, but the actual model was unspecified, even though it's clearly a t-rex.
-
it could also be a herbivorous iguanodon, which looks like a t-rex
than again, probably not XD
-
It could be a Giganotosaurus…?
!
-
I thought Capone was pure machine.
A machine that has a magical barrier which allows people to shrink down really small when they pass through it?
-
Capone sure has a somehow modified body.
I mean his crew can live in his body, and it seems they made it familiar in there. -
Even in manga science, I have issues with the idea of somebody hollowing out their body and still being fine (since it's suggested that it's not his fruit).
-
Well his DF made him into a tank or a castle, which means his crew hadn`t to handle his flesh(just like Luffy is out of rubber, Capone is while his ability is active out of stone or something like that) to create some fitting room for all the stuff.
As we see here
http://read.mangashare.com/One-Piece/chapter-508/page002.html
http://read.mangashare.com/One-Piece/chapter-508/page003.html
it seems like inside of Capone we have concrete and the crew modified him in creating other openings and such stuff. -
I guess Capone has the "Sanctuary-Sanctuary Fruit".
His body is his gang's sanctuary.
-
Or he could also be a cyborg.
-
@Don:

What else were you expecting, exactly? Some gross seinin room of flesh in blood for them all to sit around in? Now, if you want to assume it would be like that but his crew covered it up I suppose you could, but it wouldn't really matter much.
Or he could also be a cyborg.
Cyborgs replace muscles and organs, not simply remove them entirely and expect it to work with nothing.
-
Hey, Franky has a pretty much hollow cavity in his abdomen for cola, where his intestines should be.
-
His intestines were REPLACED with a system that uses cola for energy.
-

You know that would be awesome.
But it could be argued if those rooms were already there after Capone ate the fruit.
I guess there had to be at least some open space where his first "victims" found a place after he used his ability on them, but in my opinion his crew optimised those rooms\open space to the current level, where they build it like a castle with chains, cannons and stuff, which they all brought there over the years and used it inside him to build a nice "sweet little home" for them. -

That would make sense if it was replacing the stomach, but it doesn't quite make sense for the intestines.
It doesn't really matter anyway. Oda has done weirder things regarding people's anatomy. The human skeleton structure is not strong enough to support the weight of someone with the height of Whitebeard, much less the giants; Luffy's Strawhat is impossibly durable; characters' legs are way too short for their bodies; etc. -

But as an edit I do think him just having some kind of "fortress" fruit ability is more likely. Such a fruit would do all the major stuff like walls and floors by itself.

Manga science is what we call a happy medium. Somewhere between entirely realistic and doesn't make sense at all. As in, neither of the extremes.

Guys, a series of chapters showing nine captains, almost all of whom had OMG OBVIOUS Devil Fruit powers, showcasing said powers, and you see a guy who's body has literally become a castle / fortress. With this we can conclude that he either A.) has a Devil Fruit power like everyone else, B.) has a combination Devil Fruit cyborg body, or C.) is using some form of magic that Oda stated wouldn't exist in the series. Given this is a series aimed at younger boys, 'A' is the obvious answer while 'C' is the obvious "shut up".
But let's pretend it's 'B' for a moment: Oda creates a character who's Devil Fruit does… what exactly? Allows him to shrink things that come within a foot of his body and that's all? Real useful, that. I mean, most fruit powers make sense to a degree... but this? I fail to see any sense at all. Making his entire body a castle, on the other hand, is typical Oda. So we are already suspending our suspended belief... alright now he's a cyborg! How? Why? What? Franky is a genius, though not Vegapunk levels... I don't recall anyone in Capone's crew showing any signs of this type of skill. Furthermore, where is the evidence? Even if this wasn't a story aimed at younger crowds there would be SOME sort of SFX or subtle sign that he has some mechanical parts, yet... nope, nothing.
-
It was just an idea I threw out there, not really meaning for it to be taken seriously. The point is that I don't see how having a hollow body really goes against anything in One Piece.
-
When someone loses their insides they die. Remember Ace?
A devil fruit changing a person's body to betray the established laws of the manga, however, has a precedent with Brook. In other words, hollow living bodies should only be possible if a fruit ability makes it so.

The Elder Stars have lived over 800 years thanks to Jewelry Bonney's powers, hence her importance to the World Government. Not sure if this has been mentioned. :P
-
Pretty sure I remember seeing someone bring it up.

Actually, Capone was confirmed to have the Castle Castle Fruit in One Piece Green.

Where did you get this info from?
-
There's a thread Greg, a poster that's no longer active, posted a few months back. He translated parts of One Piece Green for us and part of it listed the Supernovas and their powers. I guess some people easily forgot this information.

Or it's also possible that you just made that up. Here's the thread: http://www.apforums.net/showthread.php?t=29723
The word "capone" doesn't even appear once in the entire thread.

Maybe in an SBS, then, but I know that somewhere it was said he had the "Castle Castle" fruit. I'm not making this up or imagining it.
