    • RE: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

      @Bond:

      [Bites the Dust] is first implanted into a person who knows Kira's identity.
      In this case, Hayato.
      If, anyone were to discover Kira's identity directly through Hayato (whether Hayato himself consciously does this is irrelevant), [Bites the Dust] activates and kills the person who uncovered it.
      Then, time is reset (the amount of time reset is not specified but I assume it's to the start of the same day).
      All events that have occurred before will occur again, and the person who discovered Kira's identity before will now die through natural causes.
      When another person discovers Kira's identity through Hayato, the cycle repeats.
      The only person aware of the multiple timelines is Hayato.
      Not even Kira experiences the reset time (though since he understands his own abilities, he is able to deduce when a reset has happened).

      If you're only up to Part IV then the number of arrows may be a bit spoilery:
      Revealed in Part IV: 2 arrows (One was owned by Nijimura Keicho, taken away by RHCP, then sent to the Speedwagon Foundation. The other was used by Yoshihiro to awaken Bites the Dust.)

      ! Part III: Enya had an arrow.
      Part V: Black Sabbath had an arrow (current whereabouts unknown), and so did Polnareff (later used to awaken Silver Chariot Requiem and Gold Experience Requiem)
      Part VI: Jotaro gave Jolyne a locket that contained a shard of an arrow. We don't know where this came from.
      If Jolyne's arrow shard is considered part of a separate arrow, then there are 6 arrows altogether.

      Actually,

      Part V

      ! Diavolo found 6 arrows in Egypt. He kept one (the one Polpo had) and sold the remaining 5 to Enya.

    • RE: No new One Piece Chapters for 2 weeks - Oda hospitalized for infected tonsils

      No manga should stay serialized weekly this long. He should go the Jojo route.

      Though Araki is a vampire, so of course he looks healthy,

      @Stevenh1990:

      ^ You mean this http://narutoworldbrazil.blogspot.com.br/2013/03/jump-versus-entrevista-de-masashi.html

      Judging by the questions alone, only the first one (the introduction) is repeated. It's actually a continuation.

      The questions in the volume version are:
      1 - the same
      2 - what manga influenced you
      3 - a big pinch is a big chance?
      4 - how is your life with a manga serialization?
      5 - after starting serialization, what was the first wall you had? (the first obstacle)
      6 - can we talk about it now? the secrets behind making Toriko
      7 - a message to people who want to become mangaka
      8 - a message to your fans

      @Zangetsukakashi:

      isn't that the talk they had together in the spinoff magazine, Jump Vs?

      I had no idea there was a talk in Jump VS lol, but yes. Though there is a box saying that there is an extra episode (a part?) that wasn't published before.

    • RE: Volume 70 Predictions

      This is one of the best covers ever… it's so different from all the rest.

      I was really tired of all that generic overcrowded covers.

    • RE: Attack on Titan: Why Genocide Is Sometimes Kind of Okay

      @kevo_koma:

      I don't get it at all. Do you mean that you would enjoy ti more if you saw people been eaten alive, especailly been torn into pieces. Why the fascination with watching people die slowly and painfully? I honestly don't feel like am loosing anything in the story, or is it something to do with, the more gory it is the more adult?

      Because those disturbing images and that feeling of despair is part of the atmosphere of the manga. I didn't watch the anime past episode 1, but I couldn't see myself feeling so sorry for the characters' deaths if they weren't so explicit and cruel.

    • RE: The "Shueisha" Thread

      @Strawhat:

      I know all that. But my question is why Shueisha updates their site only on Tuesdays?

      What difference does that make?

      It seems reasonable to me that they announce problems like that (with the next issue) only after the release of the latest issue (which is Monday). It would be much more confusing if they posted "Hey, three weeks from now One Piece will be absent because Oda was sick!". That wouldn't make any sense.

      That Mikasa idol is actually official, Isayama makes fake "next volume" spreads at the end of every volume, and they are always hilarious. That idol one is from volume 9.
