If the Jets ever want to get to the Superbowl they first need to win their Division. The Jets played Manning, Brady, and Big Ben, the three best QBs in the AFC maybe the league right now, back-to-back and on the road. I don't care how good you are but that is nearly impossible to do. Yes you can be a 6 seed and get really hot but the stars have to align for you, especially in the brutal AFC. The Jets need a bye or at least a couple home games or they will become the Eagles of this decade.
Rex, instead of saying we are going to win it all in the beginning of the season, say you are going to win your division and then you might have a legit shot. As for long term..the Jets have a "win now" team, which means there are a lot of free agents, veterans, and short term contracts on the team. They are a couple years away from potentially falling apart if they are not careful. If they draft smart and make the right offseason choices then they will be fine but tread carefully New York.
Now to the Superbowl. Rodgers is making the cheese-heads say "Brett who?" but I'm gonna have to go with the Steelers as much as it kills me to say. Green Bay seems to have trouble finishing games. After the first three drives against Chicago I thought, its over but then they went on to go 2-13 on 3rd down and almost had a third-stringer tie up the game. Similar thing almost happened in Philly. In a game like this, as good as Rodgers is…Big Ben is like 10-1 in the playoffs and 2-0 in Superbowls so the advantage goes to Pittsburgh to me.
