@Akumu:
Another person overlooking what Rivers has done.
Rivers is right behind him, both have done amazing things with the cards and talent that they have been dealt. The difference is that Brady is 9-2 with a team no were near as talented as the Chargers, and that's why he is the MVP right now.
Rivers could have been MVP for the past 3 seasons with the numbers he has put up and is overlooked a lot due to his lack of success beyond the regular season, which should not be a factor but lets face it, it is. Brady has a WR and RB core full of no-names, has-beens, and rookies and a defense that is very young and very bad…and yet he is putting up great numbers and is winning games against teams like the Steelers, Colts, and Ravens. Rivers, wether its his fault or not, is 6-5 with a much better Defense and an offense thats not overly talented but it is a hell of alot better than Brady's. You take Rivers out of the Chargers and they are maybe 5-6, 4-7....take Brady off the Pats and they are 2-9, at best. And that is the definition of an MVP.
The MVP Race right now is 1) Tom Brady 2) Matt Ryan 3) Phillip Rivers
