On an more interesting note, the video below was an official teaser trailer of One Piece Movie 10 and was probably the first to hit the web. What I find interesting is that although this is a Real/Official trailer for Movie 10, and not just some fan-made thing, Nothing in this trailer happened in the actual Movie….

I remember being confused when I read a Greg-translated Oda Strong World interview where he said it was originally called The Crystal Ship's Log. I guess these scenes were part of the original, more emotional and sad film he was originally going to create before he made what ended up being Strong World.
So is it wrong for me to say that one of my favorite parts was the call back to movie four?
Also, Biri is awesome and hilarious.
Wait, What about movie 4?
'cause that's my second favorite One Piece Movie after this one.
…..I really hope "Biri" doesn't become the next 'Nakama'
Loved the soundtrack
! And Shiki was such a great villain. I loved the way he went from acting like a goofball to being a ruthless character who wouldn't think twice before getting rid of those who don't do as he says. He would be up there with Crocodile and Black Beard as one of my favorite One Piece villains, had he been part of the current story like Oda originally intended to.
! My only complaint about the movie is the way Scarlet was handled. After all the gorilla jokes made at the expense of Chopper, I was kind of hoping that they would end up having a fight, but instead we got something that felt too similar to Sanji's fight with Absalom. The pervert part is something that Scarlet could have done without, as his antics with Shiki and Indigo made him comical enough.
pretty fun, but I was hoping for better fight scenes… with shiki vs luffy, it was too fast-paced and explosiony to tell what was going on, which was cool, but I was hoping for some slower bits as well...
I think my favorite part was sanji. the jokes he was in actually made me laugh, and then his beat-down of the gorilla was very nice.

i agree with this! i'm honestly not fond of sanji, but he made me laugh the most next to usopp.
I don't get it though… why does Shiki end up saying that?
In fact, he does get retarded all of a sudden sometimes...
"Mom..!"
"Oh, you look like my aunt!"
"Perm!?"
...I don't get it.
Why does Buggy say flashy alot? Why does Igaram, break into MAAAA's alot?
Its just one of those character quirks.
It still makes me scratch my head that he confuses a thundercloud for a perm, though…
It's like... nothing alike. 0.o
Enel, who is a THUNDER guy, has a perm so it must be a japanese joke, i don't know.
Great movie this was, i really liked the opening scene, and the Sanji-Brook scenes were great.
Just watched the movie, and I've got to say that I really enjoyed it. After watching it, though, I still can't help thinking that we'll see a Shiki Arc sometime in the future in the actual canon timeline. To me, Strong World was a lot like movies 8 and 9, in that the pacing was kind of weird because there was all this plot crammed into the span of a single movie. I think that it's a "What if?" type thing like movie 9 was, except instead of asking "What if this arc happened later?" it's asking "What if this arc happened earlier?"
Because really, Shiki pretty much has to come into the manga plotline at some point since he's already been mentioned by Sengoku, even more so if we consider chapter 0 to be canon.
But regardless, I still liked the movie. Especially…
! the fact that Nami told them to come and save her regardless of Shiki's strength. I was worried for a while that, after she went over to Shiki's side, Nami would act like Robin did in Enies Lobby, though with Oda himself directing the film I obviously didn't need to worry about that at all. Oda knows what he's doing with his characters.
! I really liked what they did with the credits, too, with Whitebeard and Ace. I wasn't really paying attention to the lyrics of the music playing, but I glanced down when I saw Whitebeard and then Ace, followed by Shanks. I don't remember what the lyrics were exactly, but I think it conveyed a feeling of "I have lost many things" when Whitebeard and Ace were shown, and "But I still walk forward" when Shanks was shown. However, like I said, I wasn't paying attention so it might've said something completely different and I might just be making up stuff that sounds good at this point. But yeah, it felt cool, especially considering that the anime has barely even reached Marineford, and I'm not sure, but I think when Strong World was released in theaters several months ago, the manga was still beginning Marineford, too. Man, I should really check these things before I make these posts. Meh, whatever. If I'm wrong, someone will correct me and make a witty comment about my mistake, right? I'm counting on you, mistake-corrector!
Just saw the movie. This is beautiful! The animation was awesome, the fights were kick ass, and Brook and Sanji made me laugh sooo hard!
Also the ending was really touching. Nami
! really has absolute faith in her friends, and knew they would save her.
Another interesting thing about the ending is
! do you think Shiki and his partners are still alive? It appeared they all fell in the ocean. Shiki would have drowned and Scarlet and Indigo would have been crushed by the falling islands.
I just watched the movie I really enjoyed it !!
But I expected more from Indigo, i looks so funny :)
By the way, I didn't really understand what was his power ??
So Shiki is considered as one of the 5 devil fruit users who can fly ??
I expect so, he was well known.
Saw it last night.
Animation was amazing and is pretty much exactly how One Piece should look animated.
Story wasnt bad but wasnt great.
Overall I was expecting a bit more but it's still really good. I dont reckon it's the best though.
Actually if anything was particularly bad it was that god awful music on the titles with some guy spouting nonsesnse
finally got it to work. Enjoyed it alot, i thought the story was good and it was nice seeing the Straw hats together again. I'll be buying the movie when it comes out just need to find out if the blu ray will be region free if so i'll be buying that and watching on a bigger tv ^^

'cause that's my second favorite One Piece Movie after this one. [qimg]http://forum.onemanga.com/images/smilies/smile.gif[/qimg] [qimg]http://forum.onemanga.com/images/smilies/smile.gif[/qimg]
The bartender from movie four makes an appearance, though it's less thena second, it's still made me go. " OH HEYYYY IT'S THAT GUYY!!"
it's when Franky Brook and Robin are at that huge drinking hall.

I noticed that too! First I thought it was just some similar guy though, but it has to be that bartender, right..?
So, I guess it's subbed now?

I suspect that that Bartender is usually assigned undercover to work for businesses and events involving pirates. He probably got moved to work elsewhere after movie 4 and the race ended. Wouldn't be surprised if that was the case here and Oda drew him again in future chapters.
Now, I wouldn't say after seeing this movie that it absolutely has to take place before the StrawHat crew were split up. The only ones we really did see do any fighting were Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, and Luffy himself. Oh yeah, and Brook. Usopp was surprisingly ninja-like in this movie and had a new attack, and we all know how badass Brook was. Meanwhile, Zoro and Sanji just pulled out Asura/Devil Leg right at the beginning of their battles, winning in about 5 seconds, as opposed to using them as last resorts like they normally do. If anything, that proves that they probably had other techniques up their sleeves.
Still hard to believe that a man who was once a rival of Roger and fought Garp and Sengoku for sometime was beat by Luffy…
But still an awesome movie. The best OP movie by far
Well, who's to say that Roger was simply a rookie himself when he fought Shiki? It's never really revealed how strong the Grandline was back when he was still alive, and it's pretty possible that the seas back then were weaker than they are now.

Well it seems like everyone during that generation were beasts. I mean look at Garp, Sengoku, Whitebeard, Rayleigh, and, if it counts, the admirals. And in episode 0 we saw him and his crew fend off Shiki for a while until that storm hit.

thaaaaaaaaaank you
Saw the movie yesterday and i just loved it x3 Its the best one of the movies i think x3 The songs was cool and it was drawed awesom too 8D Its was worth waiting for (: The best parts of the movie (i think) was
! The dance with shiki.. I never thougth that would happend XD And it looks awesom when they walk down the stairs Also the part where sanji keeps yelling robin-swan or nami-swan was really funny too x3 But i really like when they was in their mafia suits and stormed the place 8D the music was cool there also x3 But i hoped to see a more of the monsters but nothing is perfect =D
Oh God!!! I FINALLY got to watch it subtitled the other night! HOLY CRAP IT IS AWESOME!! The action lived up to the hype!
The only complaint I could find is that it was just a little too silly in a few parts (Sanji's fight should've been more badass IMO)
The suit scene just about made me crap my pants, it was far to awesome for words! I rewound it a few times just to watch it again 3
Also, if I'm not mistaken, when the music kicks in and the One Piece title shows up, was that a recording talking about the sunken ship "Arizona"? :I
BTW in case there's anyone looking to watch it who hasn't seen it yet, here's a good link for it.

I finally got to watch it! It was so awesome!! Even better than I thought it would be!
epic Whitebeard and Ace in the ending
@Mr.:

The Admirals were only Vice Admirals mind you. P:
Awesome times were had during this whole movie. This is one of the best anime movies that I have seen. The first 10 minutes were especially fun.
! Did anyone notice, that at the end whitebeard and ace was shown in a black background (both are dead now - black is the color of death)? and there was also another person who was shown there!!!
! Has Shanks to die in the future? I hope not!
Just saw the movie
In my opinion, it's got something the manga has been missing lately.
And that something is… "Mediocrity"
Found it, downloaded it, burned it, watched it, now to opinion it
! Great movie, definitely takes the top ranked in my best of One Piece Movies right behind number 4. Why? Well…
! Pros: Great animation and loved the plot tied in with East Blue. Giving more incentive for Luffy and the crew (specifically those whom he started the journey with) to make it very personal. The animation was nice and smooth giving all the action scene a nice frantic feel. All the crew were given something to do so no one was just background prompting. Shiki was a good villan comedic but dangerous, somewhat of a cross between Buggy and Krieg with some of Lucci's moveset. Oddly I found myself liking Dr. Indigo more. I don't know he just appealed to me better. The final battle at the palace was definitely a fantastic climax and well worth the hype it was given. Doubt any OP movie after will top this.
! Cons: The whole village subplot didn't seem to go anywhere. Just felt like an excuse for all the Straw Hats to gather at and get angry over when it was destroyed. Xiao and her family seem there to be there, they hardly even made good helping characters. Plus the whole thing with the villagers having wings seemed rather pointless and just felt out of place in the story. Movie 2 did a similar thing but at least it felt more believable. And while the climax was great, the final battle with Shiki was WAY too short, especially the idiotic way he was taken out. Epic yes, but so stupid that he'd just stand there and let Luffy hit him after all the badassery he pulled earlier in the story. Hell I enjoyed his subordinates fights more then his. Least they went down swinging.
! Overall all though it was a great OP movie and loved all the hard work Oda put into it despite my grievances. Well worth the two years waiting for it.
Found it, downloaded it, burned it, watched it, now to opinion it
Where did you find a download link?
Just saw the movie
In my opinion, it's got something the manga has been missing lately.
And that something is… "Mediocrity"
So, in other words, you didn't like it?
I just saw it, epic film, love the electric chicken (keep forgetting his name). Shame they couldn't keep him as a pet, anyone else think he would get on well with carue (sp?)?
I saw it a couple of days ago, it didn't impress me all that much. I thought the soundtrack was awful most of the time, it dragged a lot in the middle part and the flying people subplot was retarded/useless. I also think it could have been a lot more action packed. Apart from the awesome opening, the first fight against Shiki and the disappointing end fights, there wasn't really anything going on.
All in all I think it was interesting to see Oda try something in a different medium but the resulting product isn't really much better or worse than the One Piece films before it. Shiki is awesome though. Here's hoping we see him again in the manga.
That movie freaking rocked, Its been a while since i saw such a good anime movie, I loved the Strawhat´s outfits.
It was pretty weird to see the Strawhats using guns. Kick-ass movie though.
Well I don't want to repeat too much of what other people say so I am just going to throw a couple of things I thought about here and there;
The villagers with wings felt pointless, but at least they gave us information to keep the movie going, such as Daft Green, and the illness that Nami would later get. Which I didn't see the point of the illness. Shiki could've just as easily caught and trapped Nami after her betrayal, without it.
The dance sequences with Shiki was pointless, and I didn't see the point besides entertaining the younger generation whom the movie was aimed for. Was it just me or did every villain have to have a unique and LOUD foot step in this movie. Shiki had the horrible horrible needs to be taken down a notch foot step, and Indigo had the squeaky feet that got old after the 5th time it was brought back.
The 15 minutes was fantastic. I've showing people at school these scenes and they loved it. And they all had the same reaction that I agree with; why can't the actual show look this good. Its not like Strong World's animation is that much more expensive, its just at Gargoyles level now.
I was really happy to see something similar if not After Effects being used in the movie for the backgrounds. While it looks weird, its defiantly a step up from the panning backgrounds.
I'm probably the only one but I was really happy the fights were really short. One Piece doesn't need huge complex 30 minute long fight scenes. That's not what is was (though its what it looks like what it wants to be), its an adventure show with some battles thrown in the end of each arc. I like the adventuring and exploring feel of the movie.
I'm not sure if I like the idea of the premise being told in flash backs (its not the best form of story telling), but it is nice that they were trying something new with a non-linear form of story telling.
Does anyone know what happens to Billy? Like he's shown with Luffy, and then he disappears.
Btw, me n the girlfriend enjoyed the movie a lot; I'm just don't think the movie is as perfect as a lot of people want it to be. I think it is defiantly one of the top movies if not the best One Piece movie.
I don't really get why people are so tied up by the way Shiki was defeated.
You seriously think Oda made Shiki look like an idiot by accident? He could've just as easily pulled out some plot twist from thin air to counter it.
