I am thinking that Shryuu is the reason Blackbeard is at Impel Down. Probably to have him join his crew. That is what I think.
As for Mr.3, if the Poison doesn't melt his wax, he might be the perfect defense against Magellan. He could candle-lock Magellan into submission, and then cover him in wax, essentially suffocating him. But that would be killing.

It was at level 4 and he was at major disadvantage, if you look back at the littl garden arc, his use of his DF ability was pretty impressive. dont forget even on level 3 his wax only lasted for 3 seconds

You probably ment it would be strange if he wins against Magellan…in which case I agree...no matter if he would be a natural defence or whatever...Magellan is on whole diffrent level then mr.3 and as we know from alabasta on DF users if powerful dont rely only on their ability alone but can adjust their fighting skill as ability to the conditions at hand, meaning if hydra doesnt work he ll find a way to get past mr.3, but imo when mr.3 said he cant hold for much longer he didnt mean that the poison will get through more that the hydra will force through...its imo the shear power of the hydra blow against the stability of his wax wall which depend on the level as strength their abilities are at...
mr. 3 in that sense is weaker so he knows that all though wax can hold out poison itself he himself wont be able to withstand the force for much longer

Damn. Chapter ended on a tense moment. Mr.3 showing crocodile he's not worthless. I am heavily wondering what Magellan has planned for the ships outside. Thinking he wants them gone in one form or another so no one can escape, smart warden thinking ahead. I was in a little shock seeing Magellan dispose of Ivankov so easily, but i know Ivankov will be alright, no character dies in OP( that or it's speculation). Magellan is showing us why he's the man(or demon like thing) in charge of the most ruthless prison and i do like that. Can't wait til the next one!
Blue-san all i see in those pics are bluegoris taken out. Fine even if he is taken out show me where Domino was taken out? Last she has been seen was yelling at Magellan for her tardiness for delivering Ace. Since she has been seen escorting Ace, she hasn't been mentioned since.

somehow i always had the conversation of sanji and croc in mind, because i always thought that it was the case there, but i looked it up again and saw that it was just roughly the case. When sanji spoke and we could see him having the normal bubbles, but in the other way round croc kept the bubbles even if we could see half his face...anyway thanks for making things clear for me^^
In the New World, Luffy probably won't be that feared.

With Mr. 3 being Magellan's ideal staller of sorts, it makes me wonder whether Buggy will be the one to stall Shiryuu should he plan to slow the group down as well.

This was a really good chapter. I loved Iva-san's fight with Magellan, even though he/she lost. And I thought Buggy and Mr.3's reactions to Crocodile, Luffy and Jinbei, Magellan, and Mr.1 were very hilarious.
Holy shit, Ivankov looks fucking scary while using this karate technique.
I mean, just look at him.
The chapter was good. Not as good as the last chapters, but enjoyable. Too bad we didn't se the actual fight between Ivan and Magellan, but I'm happy that everything still goes pretty fast.
And damn, the Demon Guards are defeated again? This has potential to become a running gag.

Wow Magellan is strong. He's probably as strong as someone like Kuma. I'm suprised that Jimbei isn't really that strong, from what we've seen. I thought he'd be able to stand up to someone like Magellan… but it looks like Magellan's ability is too much to handle.
The Impel Down arc is coming to an end, this chapter showed that. Things are building up to the final battle... I'm just really looking forward to Whitebeard !!!
lol Luffy would, probably, be another average pirate in the new world. I hate to think how the rest of the crew will compared, I guess that's why these "power-up" islands r needed :P

That's the way Luffy has beat everyone since they entered the Grand Line. The only exception is Lucci.

Looks like we'll get our Luffy vs Magellan fight on the docks. Luffy won't stick around to help Mr.3 since they got to stop whatever the guards are planning to do with the ship. Which will buy time for Magellan to defeat Mr.3 and continue to Luffy. Only way I can see Luffy teaming up with Mr.3 to fight Magellan if he uses a wax wall to temporaryly trap Magellan while everyone continues on to the ships. Then Magellan arrives and everyone teams up for a last stand type of fight for freedom. If his only planning to stall time, he'll be defeated. Luffy is going to eventually defeat Magellan before this arc is over.
Oda fit a lot into one chapter yet again. Luffy moved from level 3 to level 1. Magellan started and finished fights with both Iva and Inazuma. Luffy's team finally caught up with Buggy's team. We were left with a cliffhanger of a problem involving ships, and Mr 3 stepping in to block Magellan.
First, there's a serious plot hole that I don't like. The demon guards were able to easily get in front of everyone with an elevator. Magellan didn't get in front of everyone with the elevator because… I DON'T KNOW! I do like that the demon guards got there, since I thought it would be appropriate for Luffy's group to have to save Buggy's group from something when they met up. It almost feels like Oda tried too hard to pull that off though.
It looks like Iva and Inazuma only took the hydra poison, so Iva should have them back up before long. The two of them will become yet another wild card along with BB and Shiryuu. Magellan seems absolutely determined to stand in Luffy's way, so a fight between the two looks more possible to me than it did before. I still think it's more likely that Magellan's final showdown will be against Shiryuu, though.
I can't wait for next week's cover.
Great chapter this week. Definitely better than last week's chapter, which was still good but not as awesome as the previous 2 months.

Meh it's not really a plot hole. Magellan took the elevator from level 1-4 and entered on the other side of the floor on Level 4. While Luffy and co where having the fight with Hannybal and then talking with BB. Bare in mind Level 4 is huge compared to the lower floors. While all that time was being wasted Magellan head toward Luffy. Then when Magellan reaches them, they all start hauling ass toward level 1 while Iva and Scissor chan stall for time while Magellan is using Venom Road to catch up after he defeats whoever is in his way.
Then while that was going on Buggy and co were being dumbasses and celebrating instead of running to escape. After Sady is freed by Magellan she gets all the Beast togethers and heads directly to level 1 from the level 4 elevator to where Buggy is at. Level 1 is smaller so once they get out of the elevator they start attacking Buggy and the prisoners. Buggy and the other run away from the beast guards until Luffy and co arrive to save there asses.

Seeshy: Well Iva is strong and possibly could've won if he was fighting someone else. Thing is though Magellan is basically broken since his standard attack Hydra is a OHKO if it hits you.
