Smoker wasn't quivering with fear. I didn't say that. I said he didn't even TRY to fight Dragon. There's a difference. You can not be afraid of someone and yet know your place.
For example. If a cop stopped you from beating up a guy, are you gonna try and resist him? I don't think so. If you're not afraid, you'll at least show some common sense.
If im fighting with a guy and a friend breaks it up, im not going to fight him. Now im not claiming that they are friends, merely that there are other likly reasons Smoker didnt attempt to capture him. Maybe they are friends, or atleast not enemies, maybe Dragon is massivly stronger, or maybe Dragon is simply adept at excaping. Maybe he was so shocked at Dragon showing himself that by the time he thought about fighting, Dragon was gone. I just object to you saying thing are likely when nothing in the manga gives it solid support.
The storm came with Dragon. But that's not the point. The squall that hit the marines, the fact that Dragon can appear and disappear without much notice, and the fact that he wears a heavy cloak to possibly counter the effects of his power are all good indicators. Yes, we don't know for a fact, but it strongly suggests that he did.
Hes bracing himself against the wind in that picture, isnt that as least as suggestive as that it happened while he was there?
Okay, comparing Buggy to Gol D. Roger is ridiculous. Buggy had a few lower marines after him. Smoker too. Roger and DRagon have the WHOLE WORLD after him. There's a difference.
i agree, i was just trying to show how saying that Dragon hasnt been caught yet and is therefore greater than Roger doesnt have to be true.
That's not my point. No, people aren't talking everywhere about Dragon. Well, they are, just not where Luffy happens to be. But the point is, Roger lived in a former era and is only celebrated by the old or people who are pirates themselves. Everyone else has moved on. Dragon is directly affecting everyone's life and is thus the topic of discussion.
Ok, in that case, its hardly relevant. Your question was whether Roger had a higher bounty when he was alive. How people are talking about him 20 years after his death has no bearing on the discussion unless you know how people will talk about Dragon 20 years after his death.
edit: if its not to much trouble, could you type up what Robin says about Dragon? I'm afraid i might be reading a different statement by her, cause im not getting quite the same thing out of it
