I'm just curious: Anybody remember their predictions that turned out to be totally wrong? I gots a few:
Kaku will have a monkey zoan
Calipha will have a bird zoan
Luffy will in fact fight Baskerville and Sanji will take Lucci.

How about the large number of people predicting Sogeking would fight Fukurou. Or Luffy getting across the water to the gates of justice by a barrel. XD Or people mistaking Olvia for being AoKiji walking across the water in Robin's flashback (although Aokiji does turn up later).

I remember some real crackpot ideas but I quickly forgot them because they were so not going to happen.
I recall a lot of people where at least hoping that Usopp would somehow save Franky from CP9 in the warehouse, although it was clearly impossible at that juncture.
And some people thought Robin was going to turn up and stop Usopp and Luffy from fighting.
I kind of wish I was around to see what people predicted about stuff in the old days. Like when Nami "killed" Usopp. and how Luffy was going to beat Crocodile before the water weakness came up.

I only joined up here when I'd seen around to the beginning of Enies Lobby, so I missed all of the weird theories before that.
Franky being able to breathe under water due to his metal nose.
I was here since chapter 340, I wish I was here during Skypiea or Alabasta to see how people discuss the story and make wierd theories and speculations. If I was olny here at chapter 332, I would love to see how people react to the Luffy Vs. Usopp fight.
Here are theories and specultions I thought up since 340:
1. Nico Robin being possessed
2. CP9 are shadowy cult after the ancient weapeons
3. Sanji or Usopp breaking in the Galley-La HQ to save Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Chopper, Paulie and Iceburg.
4. That ethier Luffy crash in Enies Lobby or on Yocozuna's back after being throw out of the HQ.
5. Thinking that Luffy and others would find Franky, save Usopp before the CP9 and the Aqua Laguna shows up.
6. Robin getting on a small boat after the Galley-La HQ attack to leave the city.
7. That Robin's past is closly related to Gold D. Roger and though we would never see the flashback untie the end.
8. That Enies Lobby would be a castle
9. The Buster Call having laser beams
10. That the Sogeking was from Elubaf(Before Ooshi confirmed that Sogeking was Usopp.)
11. That after Spandam punched Robin, she'll realize her mistakes and ask Luffy for help.
12. That Rnies Lobby was part of the Marine HQ
13. That Kaku wold eat the Diamond fruit.
14. That Usopp will fight Kaku
15. That Blueno would fight Sanji
16. That Iceburg and his shipwight would surround to warehouse to fight the CP9

Wow, so many thoughts. I stop now, there are other thoughts before 340 but I'm just going to say the current thoughts since chapeter 340.
This is why I intend to avoid insane predications and speculations and theories.

Things I was wrong about:
Three is less a prediction that an incorrect assumption that Oda was naming the place after Aeneas based on the various European aspects of the region.
There are some others, but I'm not sure about what else.
On the plus side, I got the following right:
I thought Dragon would show up at Enies Lobby because of some panel on chapter 404 that showed black clouds and lightning outside while it was just special effects for Franky refilling his cola.

I was pretty sure Kaku was the new member. Paulie was a candidate, but I was more sure the other way. And, well….chapters 345 and 346 were really something.
I also recall people thinking Lucci and Luffy would fight in the giant water fountain, or in the city during Aqua Laguna.
Well, not much here, but I thought Luffy was going to defeat Blueno instantly the chapter after they confronted each other at the top of the tower. I also thought Fukuro was defeated when Franky gave him that big punch.

I came along when the board was already well-established and the series was not far into Water 7 then. If I recall correctly, the board had been around six months or so before I joined… though that might have been the most recent incarnation of it. I might have my dates completely wrong on this.

Yeah, that was the first one that I remember, but I couldn't recall if it was the first one that I saw or really the first chapter discussion on that board.
As far as being wrong goes: I had speculated originally that Ohara's destruction and Roger's capture were connected, but that had as much to do with forgetting that Roger died twenty-two years ago rather than twenty as it did anything else.

Did anyone mention this? Kalifa ate a DF that made her really ugly when the power was activated, say a zoan? Hence Sanji could beat her that way. It turned out that her DF made her sexier, as least to Nami.

I once though that, after seeing Crocodile's weakness was water, that he would die drowning, and his and Luffy's fight would be in the basement of Rain Dinners.

I never came on the Forum and made too many Predictions, but I made a few on my own that Ended up being False,
1: when I first Saw Kaku, I was SURE he'd be their Shipwright (as did SO many others)
2: when they were first told the Merry was Inrepairable and Franky was a Ship "Dismantler" I assumed he'd dismantle Merry and they would build a grander ship but they would use a lot of Merry's Lumber and any other salvageable parts (especially the Sheep's head) but when it was destroyed in Aqua Laguna that theory went out the window
3: I was sure Luffy and Robing would fight after he found out SHE tried to kill Iceburg.
4: I thought there would be SOME way for Sanji to beat Calipha. however, I currently Think Nami will lose and by then Sanji will get back to normal again and then having Calipha (for all Sanji knows)Possibly holding the Key to Robin's Freedom AND having her hurt Nami-san, he'll overcome his Chivalry and fight serious.

Someone thought the text says "Jyabura woke up and become wolf which made Sogeking run but he gets a Inner chicken that made him think twice and goes back to fight Jyabura" In reailty, That chicken was a pet and it's olny purpose was waking Jyabura up.
Someone else tought this chicken can talk and is from Usopp's past but it again was proven wrong. I wished that chicken can talk an it's from Usopp's past, that would be poetic.
