Anyways, I like the actor, but it's funny Benedict got the role given he's kinda facing the reaction I'm expecting to happen to the Marvel universe soon enough, fan backlash due to overexposure even if the quality of work has been consistently good. I mean, with all the trouble Ant Man is going through in development I'm still expecting the turn to begin there.
But what do I know? Guardians was much more popular than I expected it to be (and luckily it was actually really good), and there's Captain 3 acting as a buffer between Ant Man and Dr.Strange which everyone will likely enjoy.

But the amount of horrid fans this man has. HORRID… fans. The movie could be great. The performance could be amazing. But the fan reaction is going to be a massive train wreck of horrible jokes and over-defensive screaming. I dread going to Tumblr even now.

I really don't get the concept of hating on something good because it has a fanbase that's abhorrent.
He's a good actor. I really like his work. Screw everything else, his work stands by itself, therefore I'm excited to see him play Dr. Strange.

I was a tad disappointed Candycrush Battleship got the part. I didn't even realize he was an option. I mean yeah he's a good actor. I just can't picture him in this role. But Marvel has yet to really disappoint me with their actor choices so I'll keep my hopes up.

…The entire point is that
A)glasses break easily and are expensive
B) shattering glass near someone's eyesare both reasons to not hit someone in that area.
...not that the act of wearing glasses somehow changes someone's physical ability to fight.

I'm pretty excited for the Captain Marvel and Inhumans movies.

Dr Strange? Black Panther? Captain marvel? Inhumans? Don't know shit about them.
Yet I am giddy with anticipation at their reveals, even more so than the sequels to established characters (well, except Guardians 2) because I can't wait to see these new characters, and if Marvel can work their magic again.

Well, we knew Ihumans was coming as their answer to Xmen. Captain Marvel and Black Panther are nice confirms.
Avengers 3 and 4 back to back? Crazy. And both Inhumans and Captain Marvel between them? Daamn. (And could Guardians and Thor both be tied together?)

I'd like to point out Marvel had the initiative to give a movie to Ms. Marvel when no one was begging for one whereas fans had been screaming for a WW movie and DC only grudginly gave it after Wonder Woman had to prove herself in a pissing contest between two men and even then her getting a movie felt more like an obligation to fulfill their Justice League quota than a desire to tell her story.
At least Tumblr will finally shut the fuck up on how far more progressive DC is over Marvel. Did they just forget all the shit they had to go through to get a WW movie?

Dang, that's a lot of movies.
Can't say I'm familiar with any of the new characters (was never much of a comic reader), but seeing how much I loved Guardians of the Galaxy, I doubt that'll be much of a factor in me liking them. Definitely intrigued to see what they're all about.
Normally I'm against the whole trend of splitting the last (?) installment in a franchise into two movies, but I'm actually okay with Avengers 3 being split - in fact, considering the sheer number of things that are going to be in the MCU at that point, it actually makes far more sense than most other cases recently.

They're big fans of the source material nothing they complain about would surprise me. God forbid if by the time Thanos shows up they drop the whole aspect of his character having a hard on for Death.

I fully expect Mar-Vell will get introduced and explained in either Guardians 2, Avengers: IWP1 or Both so that he can pass the mantle to Carol in Captain Marvel.
That would be perfect and would satisfy everyone I think.
