@RobbyBevard:
Black Panther is awesome.
He just hasn't been used well in a while.
…is he still randomly married to Storm?
After they separated and Storm had a one-night stand with Wolverine, the Black Panther fanbase collectively started calling her Whororo, a race traitor and a shameless slut.
I guess the BP fanbase's casual racism and sexism, as well as their insistence on saying BP is the inspiration for modern Batman (BATMAN!!!), has made me hate the character, as well as editorial devolving Marvel's greatest and most well-developed female character into a lovestruck cheerleader.
Also he kept the cure for cancer away from the rest of the world and he locked his wife up in a mutant-power inhibiting room whenever she did something bad (as well as launching sattelites that would stop her from using her powers if neccesary). What a dick. His country deserved to be conquered by Atlantis.

Only good Black Panther scene in history:
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
On the Fox side of things, Ellen Page (!!!!!!!), Anna Paquin and Shawn Rashmore have been confirmed for Days of Future Past.
I'm happy that Ellen Page is back again to play Kitty again. As well for Anna Paquin for Rouge.

Well its hardly fair to use anything ANY Marvel character has done in the last 10 years against them. They've ALL become selfish assholes that are basically villains for some reason or another.
Because the writers think heroic characters are boring or something.
I mean, Spiderman makes a deal with the devil, aborts his child, manages to erase the minds of the world, cheats on MJ repeatedly, and then gives Doctor Octopus free reign to rape and cause trouble in his name. …and that's just what I know about, I haven't even been reading the books!
Let's not even get into what they've done to Xavier and Cyclops.
Old school Black Panther was cool. I'm sure the movies would use something closer to that than... what he's apparently become.
Cyclops is popular as hell these days. The only evil thing he did was kill Xavier and that was in defense (Cyclops got tired of 20 years of mindrape).
[hide][/hide]
Spider-Man making a deal with the devil was retconned into MJ making a deal with the devil. He never gave Doc Ock free reign either. In fact his mind is actively preventing Ock from doing evil things. When did he cheat on MJ?
Cyclops is a horrible hero. More news at 7:00!
@The:

I was never a Cyclops fan, but making that anachronistic joke Captain America look like shit always makes you a good man in my book.
Thank God for the Marvel movieverse.
I never cared much for Cyclops, since I first started reading comics a few years ago.
No one ever likes cyclops. But after plowing through 200 issues of claermont's uncanny i can happily say that i only dislike him half as much as i once did. So yay i guess.

You should read Whedon and Gillen's interpretations. Those are the best.

Paul Giamatti in talks to play Rhino is Amazing Spiderman 2 and Felicity Jones is in talks for an unspecified role.
OH! GOD! YES! Fricking Rhino in a spidey film.
Whoever made that decision needs his hand shaken

Looks at the news
Blinks in unbelief
My first reaction is:huh?
I am morbidly curious to see how they do this Sinister Six in this so-called "dark and edgy" world they've created.
I mean I still think the Sintser Six sucks, however how hilarious would it be for something as like the Sinster Six to be in the world these films take place in. I mean just imagine the fucking Rhino(who I doubt will ever be in a live-action film,) in the "Amazing'' universe.
What a riot!
Rhino is a goofy character, one of the least interesting characters in the Spider-man lore IMO.
And they already tried the Killer Croc route with Lizard, which didn't fair well. Imagine Rhino with the same type of take.
Man, I'm eagerly awaiting to see what he looks like.
I knew you'd get on board with it eventually. Welcome aboard Billy boy
I hope they incorporate the plotline where he lost his wife. That was sad.

Amen to that, motha-brotha!
Rhino has been in like, every spidey video game since ever and still always gets shafted to a one-note chump lump
Rhino needs more love.
All the versions of him i've seen make him look like a slow witted idiot, is that the case in the comics, or does he at least show at bit more intelligence than that?
@Rogues':

Rhino is no doubt about to go through some major, major changes if does actually appear in this film. They wouldn't be choosing the Rhino if they were aiming for faithfulness. There's really not much to the character and really is least popular villains. Expect a radically different take on the character then before. I don't care about neither Electro or Rhino but I do care for Jonah Jameson. I wonder If he will be in this? I imagine he will be the hardest to recast.
They have to stay true to the source material otherwise I'm going to irrationally hate this movie!!
Now if only they'd get Shocker in there we'd have a movie
Marvel… You better have Galactus in The Avengers 3. I want Galactus to be done with justice, and not shat on like he was in The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
Galactus is THE Marvel villain--though, I suppose it could be argued that he's tied with Thanos.
I don't think Disney has the rights to use Galactus (at least not yet). So I doubt he will show up in any Avenger film.

Well… Avengers 3 is like...5 years out--so it could change before then.
And, if Thanos is going to be the main threat in The Avengers 2, you need a BIGGER threat in 3; for the finale, which I assume The Avengers will be a trilogy. No one, other than Galactus, is equal in power to Thanos. It'd be...sad, to say the least, if the villain in 3 is weaker than the one in 2.
Maybe Apocalypse. But it would make little sense.
I always presumed, if it were a trilogy, that Thanos would be put at the end while another villain (or a group of villains) build up Thanos like in Thor/Avengers.

Yeah… But unfortunately Loki built up Thanos in a way, and, as you know, he's the threat of The Avengers 2. They backed themselves into a corner, in my opinion.
Unless they get the rights to Galactus (which I hear they are working on, hard, because he fits perfectly with the galactic/universal conflict storyline they are building), they use Apocalypse (which, like I said, wouldn't make much sense), or Stranger suddenly becomes evil.
Wait, it was confirmed that Thanos is the threat in Avengers 2? Don't know how I missed that news.

That's what I keep hearing, and seeing movie news stories about; not to mention his big ol' goofy smile at the end of The Avengers.
Also, he's going to be the main villain in Guardians of the Galaxy, which, is said to help build up the plot to The Avengers 2, with him also being in that too (The Avengers + Guardians of the Galaxy teaming up, I suppose).
That makes sense. I suppose Thanos is the logical choice for Avengers 2, though I suppose a group of villains could work for Avengers 3.

Apocalypse is owned by Fox. Also an incredibly bland villain.
I like Apocalypse better when he was called Darkseid.

I don’t really want to give too much away but the Sentinels are a big feature of this story. They will be cool and this will deliver on all of the teasers. We’ve all been waiting for this ever since X-Men: The Last Stand showed us one of their heads.
Let me put it this way though: Kitty Pryde fans will not be disappointed.
swoon <3 <3
Only Millar story I ever liked was Red Son, but I'm trusting him on this!
To qoute Daniel Bryan. "Yes!! Yes!! Yes!!' to the Kitty Pryde news.
More good news for you, Sano.
Emily VanKamp has been cast as (most likely) Sharon Carter: http://www.deadline.com/2013/02/revenges-emily-vancamp-lands-lead-in-captain-america-2/
Yes! Yes Yes!! Emily is awesome, so I can't wait to see her in Captian America 2.
Iron Man 3 commercial for the super bowl. There's a short one and a long one, this is the extended look.
That was more of an extensive look than an extended look.
SPOILERS:
Read at your own risk as it may spoil a plot line in avengers 2 but: http://latino-review.com/2013/02/04/superbowl-exclusive-the-hulk-fit-marvels-phase-2-phase-3-plans/
They are known for getting many predictions right.
! AVENGERS 2?? SHIPPING HULK OFF? PLANET HULK MOVIE? HOPEFULLY NOT CORNY AND MARK RUFFALO IS AWESOME? WORLD WAR HULK IN AVENGERS 3? …..i cant anymore. But seriously I'd rather there be another earth hulk movie first with the leader. Samuel Sterns is still at large in MCU. I can't really see them shipping off hulk yet by the next movie, maybe in avengers 3 but not 2 no way.
I can mainly see it like this: Avengers 2-> Hulk 2 (The leader)-> Avengers 3-> The culmination of whatever he did in the second one leads him to shipped off to space by the illuminati-> Planet Hulk (The best alien movie ever)->>Avengers 4? (If this ever happens then world war hulk.)
Latino review is probably wrong on that one. Marvel isn't going to spend upwards of 5 years making a Hulk Story work in the background over 4 unrelated movies. Add in the fact Planet Hulk already had an animated adaptation and that John Carter flopped… its not going to happen.
Besides that, Planet Hulk and World War Hulk don't make any sense in the marvel movie-verse, and neither does Civil War. All those stories depend on YEARS of destruction and hundreds of comics where the characters go unchecked, and many, many more characters to work. With the universe at like, 7 guys and a handful of adventures right now, its just not applicable. Civil War wouldn't work, it'd basically just be the first half of Avengers 1 again.
The thing is… Latino Review has a pretty spotless track record when it comes to these things. Their scoops always turn out to be correct.
I'm not a Hulk fan, but I'm interested in a World War Hulk story that isn't utter shit.
They'll probably do a Civil War movie once they work out a partnership with Fox and Sony.
World War Hulk is the one where a smart Hulk just kinda beats up the entire Marvel universe right?
World War Hulk is awesome. Hulk gives a well deserved beating to a bunch of characters that long had it coming. I'd love to see that on the big screen but agree it just wouldn't work without the tons of buildup that made it so satisfying. It would also require making Robert Downey Jr. hateable which is just impossible.

It was the most boring beatdown in comic book history. It also had that little shit Amadeus Cho running around.

Hulk pile-drived Iron Man through Stark Tower. He went toe to toe with a guy with the power of a million suns and won! Boring it was not.
Also I tend to ignore any of the side stories in an issue outside the main story line (and yes I know, the ones with Amadeus Cho were done by the same dudes that did World War Hulk, still ignoring).

Sentry is such a piece of bullshit. On every conceivable level. He doesn't count for anything and is terrible.
You don't just throw Superman into the marvel universe and pretend he's been there for decades.
And "million suns" is such a piece of croc hyperbole. Even for comics. that's like Naruto's 800 billion exploding tags. its a number thats so big its stupid. Even "the power of A exploding sun" would be more than pushing it. A million? Just bad writing.
Similarly, the writers kept calling CHo "the fourth smartest person in the world" (Or seventh or whatever number they used) or whatever. The exact same phrasing every time, which is… stupid. You say "one of the ten smartest people in the world" and then its a little more okay. Putting an exact number on it makes it stupid, that just turns it into random bragging. Especially when they have different strengths and fields of expertise.
Besides it's not very difficult to be smarter than Mr. Fantastic.
I have no experience with the vast marvel universe so I had no idea how out of place the character was. I just interpret a million suns as he's uber elite god level. It's just semantics in the end. He served as the point when the "good guys" became bad when they went too far and unleashed a force they should never have messed with in their desperation to absolve themselves from responsibility and also gave a form of redemption to the Hulk. Good enough for me.
Also Cho was an annoying snotball.
Let's not forget this "classic" twist regarding the Sentry.
The big twist is suddenly Rogue has no accent?
I know its all to easy to overdo a southern accent, but… something?
@Thousand:
I have no experience with the vast marvel universe so I had no idea how out of place the character was.
Sentry basically didn't exist until that story. He'd been in a couple of comics, but no one knew or cared about him.
Then he was made the pivotal central turning point conclusion finale fight of a big summer event. Erm. No.
For a DC comparison, it'd be like if a new monster showed up, and over the ifrst four issues took out Superman, Captain Marvel, 8 Green Lanterns, Batman, Wonder woman, Martian Manhunter, Lex Luthor, and the rest of the Justice League… and then in the last issue was confronted and beaten by Superboy Prime.
BEFORE he was revealed to still exist.
The one caveat exception to this is, it would have been okay if Squirrel Girl stepped in and took care of it.
