To give Law the butt kicking that traumatized him?
i'd say to tell the world about his supposed DF

That he forgotten to mention having :ninja:
Actually he still have one, but I won't say what it is lol
We have to wait and see.. would be funny if that thing would turn out true in the end.
Let's not forget that Vergo can coat his entire body with Hardening. It's something that could theoretically and practically save his life in that situation. (And he's possibly a metal man, lol.)
And Monet is a snow logia. With a little composure, she could have protected herself with that snow igloo (kamakura, was it?). Maybe even patch up the hole in the heart with some solid snow. And in the worst case, she could put herself into cold stasis. Enel did something similar when he restarted his heart with electroshocks. Used his devil fruit to save his life from a pretty fucked up situation.

I see what you did there :ninja:
As for Monet perhaps Laws box that was around her heart when Cesar stabbed has some healing properties or at least there is less damage if somebody pierces parts of body, like its inside Laws "Room".
This way Monet could be still alive somehow(sure there was blood but its Law DF that was part of that stabbing scene so she can be okay).
Pell took a bomb to the face and survived.
Apart from deaths that are necessary for major story progression, Oda just does not kill characters in the current timeline.
What would really be gained from Monet and Vergo being dead? Absolutely nothing.
The same as if they were alive? What point can Vergo, one of the cruelest motherfuckers around, and Monet who's hobbys included to drug children for the giggles, can bring to the world?
You can argue that others, like CP9 did terrible things as well, and survived, the difference between these 2 and the rest of the villians that the strawhats have faced and left behind broken and defeated is their sorry state:
Sliced to pieces in ground zero of an explosion of poisonous gas, explosion that if didn't kill him spread him to the 4 winds of the goddamn frozen/molten island
Heart pierced in the same explosion, who knows where the heart is
And the people who were willing and knowing enough to help them, are already gone.
Their only bet is that smoker went back and decided to try and capture them after his razor shave, or the missing card of the deck "Instruction Manual Card" guy, is going around saving them.
Besides, they were dealt with by law, not any of the strawhats.
i don't really care, i've had no simpathy for both of them from the beginning. even tho they're someway cool and powerful i find them monodimensional and boring. i'd rather miss the sticky food tho
If I'm not mistaken, marines were scouring the island after the event.
And heart is a pretty tough muscle. Maybe if Caesar put a sharp knife through it, it would lacerate through all of it's chambers. But that twig he used might not have pierced more than it's outer layer. She could patch it up with a little luck.
Maybe Caesar just didn't put enough heart into that stab.
When in doubt, i always just assume that nobody ever dies in OP.
If Oda truly wants someone to be dead, he clearly kills him in front of you.
Alive until proven dead or no one dies in One Piece.
In OP people dies only by sacrificing themself. If you have an ideal that should not perish, you should live…
Since Sanji was able to clash with a Armament Haki Vergo with basically pure strength alone I wonder what kinda of damage a Armament Haki Sanji could do, it makes you wonder. It would be even cooler if Sanji managed to gain full body Armament one of these days.
The only way I would see Vergo/monet alive is if Oda plans a role for Doflamingo in the future, after his defeat in this arc, same as Crocodile and Daz Bones.
Also, the final emotional conversations between vergo/monet and Doflamingo, would be equal to zero if they turn up alive.

Nah he didn't. Vergo didn't use BH against Sanji.

Damn really then I'm really disappointed in Sanji.
Damn really then I'm really disappointed in Sanji.
Maybe he had invisible haki, not the black one.
Sanji said he made his legs perfect in the 2 years. Regular kick from Vergo can't crack his leg, would be severe underestimation.
Sometimes Oda don´t color in black the body part used to fight with haki. That doesn´t mean they are not using it, All Doffy´s fights are a good example…but correct me if I´m wrong.
Damn really then I'm really disappointed in Sanji.
Well Vergo is strong. i think that only Luffy can beat him from M3 in High-Extreme Diff fight.
Now that I think about it Vergo did have pants covering his legs.
Sanji was a beast this arc and last, did everything he needed too.
Bellamy for heart pirates.

When Vergo and Smoker used BH, their clothes was covered with it.

Agreed. Sanji is a beast.
Nah, Bellamy should kill himself. to weak to live.
@uniaka:

Pell had an emotional send off that was like 10 times more touching and meaningful.
Pell could have stayed dead, and the only difference would be 2 or 3 panels less and a cover story page with one character less. That's how much importance his survival to the story had. And he's not even the only example.
But ok, that was in the past, so maybe Oda won't do something like that again. But, if he wants to bring them back, even for shits and giggles on the front page, he'll do exactly that.
Now that I think about it Vergo did have pants covering his legs.
And he was most likely using CoA hardening on his skin.
Probably same as Sanji.
Why I think so ? Pics in few moments
So Vergo used fullbody CoA hardening to protect himself from Laws cutting powers of Ope Ope no Mi.
It would make absolutely no sense if Vergo would cover only upper half of his body and his haki would end under his pants
!
also Oda said in SBS that Vergo can even cover his penis in CoA hardening :ninja:
Also Doflamingo used haki directly on skin and it was not visible on his cloak while blocking Luffys attack.
!
As for Sanji I think his fault was deep underestimating Vergo after Sanji managed to send him flying twice.
But when we look at that clash from perspective of time I think that Sanji might have blocked Vergos kick without using haki.
Why I think so?
Because during blocking V kick there was no "sparks" effect.
!
But when Sanji acknowledged that his legs are loosing he started covering his legs with CoA and we gotten sparks in next panels
! After that we didnt seen any indication of Sanji getting other cracks/ wounds from fight with Vergo. So difference between them was probably so small that in longer fight Sanji would most likely loose only because of damage that his right leg gotten at start. Sanji simply gotten far harder kick than he expected close to start of the fight.
Sparks effect was used few times after time skip when CoA/ CoA hardened attacks were being used if anybody does not remember.
Or Sanji also blocked with CoA as there might have been additional things helping Vergo:ninja:
Also as it was lately visible CoA hardening can be "turned on/ off" in very short time
!
So my current thoughts are that Sanji didnt seen CoA hardening under Vergos pants the way that Luffy seen CoA Hardened hit from Doflamingo at page above(we see that Mingos feet is covered with haki and his shoe is not) and he blocked his kick without hardening so we didnt gotten any sparks effect and Sanji gotten a crack in his bone.
My guess: Vergo is alive and will be important again, as much as Mr2 or Mr3.
Monet is dead and Nami will eat the Yuki Yuki fruit that got resurrected in her mandarin tree.
To be honest I really like Monet but I prefer my theory over her

If those are mandarins then I've been thinking wrong for more than a decade.
How can Vergo be dead if death isn't real? #JustJadenThings
I wouldn't mind if Vergo was alive, he was never killed, bombs and explosions don't kill people in OP. Monet is the one I will find it diffcukt to accept if she was alive. Her heart was stabbed and she cough blood. That should be the end of her.
Before the flash back, I said Cora-san was still alive and I will like to believe so. I will like him to witness the end of Doffy.
I wouldn't mind if Vergo was alive, he was never killed, bombs and explosions don't kill people in OP. Monet is the one I will find it difficult to accept if she was alive.
My thoughts are similar. I wouldn't mind if Vergo was alive but I never understood the obsession with Monet. She could conceivably be alive, but only because Oda.
The only reason we keep having this discussion is becaude we're not sure if the New World plays by the same rules as the rest of the series. There's an argument to be made that characters may now be killed off to emphasize the raised stakes of the New World, especially after the deaths of Ace and Whitebeard. Once we figure that out, we can stop…well, actually this will probably keep happening. Oh, joy :getlost:

We dont know how much damage she gotten from that stab. Law was shown to loose consciousness and also spitting blood after Vergo was squishing his heart.
Also fact that heart was in Laws box might play a role if she is alive- we dont know if it has some kind of healing effect or more likely lessening damage if heart gets damaged inside of it.
Maybe that MES box is same as miniature ROOM created by Law and you can get wounded but damage is less than outside of it(slices that doesnt kill ).
Yeah, Enel was killed by Reject + Seastone.
I mean his heart stopped and all!
they are dead until it's proven otherwise.

Did you already forget Brownbeard and the G-5 soldiers?
Yup…Oda never recycles characters and has them appear again later down the line, sometimes in fairly irrelevant ways.
Just think about Gedatsu's cover story.
Hahaha xD "recycles" like they were garbage characters, Doffy is joining the club of potential recyclable garbage after this arc too.

I doubt it. Based on what we've seen so far, I would say that cuts made by Law with the Ope-Ope powers do not inflict permanent wounds; but until proven otherwise, any other type of injury sustained inside ROOM - or MES -even if inflicted on an already separated body part, follow the "normal" rules*
Yeah, Enel was killed by Reject + Seastone.
I mean his heart stopped and all!
That sure was a awesome WTF terrifying moment.

lol at how quickly people forget. You know death isn't a possibility when Oda goes out of his way to save fodder who should've otherwise died. Completely negated the threat of the poison completely.
I have zero faith in Oda in killing off relevant characters unless he explicitly shows us. We all feel this way because of Monet and Vergo were shown alive, none of us would be surprised

No, as cool as snow-Nami swan would be, I prefer my hot able swimmer Nami swan. How else will we get these; Be careful as they are slightly NSFW courtesy of Glorious Island.
!
 And this:

Since she came back Nami seems to really show the word how much she grown. So need to worry about her wearing normal outfit for to long.

Wiper sure as hell provided some really shocking moments.
First he kills Shura on the first day, before the actual fighting even started properly. One moment he was there, next - PWNED! That was awesome. I wish Oda took more risks like that nowadays. But I guess it would have been too much if Sabo killed Diamante in the final round right away, for example.
Then he actually manages to kill Enel. And before you even came to your senses, the guy restarts his heart just like that.

Wiper sure was hardcore. Kyros remind me a little of him with he just act without hesitation.
Even now I'm not what I should think of Shura's faith. He is kinda like Ging both dead and alive in my mind.

Wat.
Law's abilities can't heal anyone in that way.
If everyone is going to keep coming up with random excuses, they should at least make some sense.
Now it's getting weird.
Why I think it doesn't work:
1- http://www.mangastream.to/one-piece-chapter-748-page-16.html Machvise seems to clearly be the heavy one.
2-He would take decent damage himself from his attacks.
3-the shield is just too little to convince me it can fly himrandom stuff it doesn't explain: the tail.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
That is a personal opinion that varies from people to people. I still believe Crocodile to be the best villain.
Crocodile is really good too.
Tho, Doflamingo is crazier. The whole parasite ability is proof to that. He enjoys those kind of things lol
Trebol seem a bit dumb. I don't think he can fathom thoughts like that.
All a front lol…Last chapter he was shown informing doffy of haki and knew doffy would want revenge and set him on the path. But over course I was just trying to throw out speculations
Now it's getting weird.
Forgive me, I will stop now.

I agree. I believe he is smarter and more cunning than what meets the eyes, or the shades for that matter.

Trebol reminds me a lot more of a Celestial Dragon than Doffy, honestly (though it may just be the snotty nose thing going between him and Charlos)… but yeah, if whatever Doflamingo has on the Celestial Dragons, if its that big, I could see them sending someone to monitor and/or guide him into doing something he'd end up regretting. Would be an awful lot of years in the making, but if DressRosa had things under wraps for so many years, then who knows?
Anyway, the chain around Trebol's legs sure as hell points to some kind of connection with CD.
Just remembered Fisher Tiger has freed the slaves 15 years ago. It's a shame it wasn't mentioned as something significant in the flashback.
Don't remember if it was mentioned that WG covered the incident up at that time. They've covered up a lot less.
