@RobZilla:
Well he seemed pretty proficient with his swordsmanship anyway, and showed a pretty versatile range of attacks even if they weren't swordbased.
That one attack also seemed to be a bit of a doozy as well.
I found it slightly generic, to be honest. I was hoping for something more interesting.
@RobZilla:
Meh, I thought it made sense.
Rebecca showed willingness to save her father and attack Diamante, not running away.
Kyros refused to let his daughter pick up a sword again after being forced to fight in an death arena for years.
It'd have been nice for Rebecca to do something physical but then we'd have had the whole "but Rebecca is a weakling lol power scaling" can of worms opened.
But… that is not how it portrayed here.
Rebecca's actions are not portrayed as heroic, but rather as her making a grievous mistake.
Kyros motivation for telling her to lay down the sword are not for her safety, but upholding the ideals her mother stood for.
This is some pretty terrible things we are dealing here. Not to mention the dichotomy between the glorified pacifism message, and the fact that everything rests on violently beating people up. You cannot promote pacifism and vigilantism at the same time, dammit!
@RobZilla:
Let's not get into real world physics.
Then how about simple logic?
