I guess it would depend on your definition of 'hurt' in some cases. I know it seems that most of the time Rick and Morty have a scene of gratuitous violence in each episode, but not all the time upon further inspection. I don't consciously recall One Piece having harm befall someone in every chapter or South Park referencing at least one celebrity in each episode but maybe that is the case.

That course of action has only been stated to happen to people who don't accept their tea party summons - Big Mom's retaliation against the Straw Hats could be an entirely different matter. But even if it isn't, it's only been a few hours since the arc wrapped up, so whatever she ends up doing is still a ways away.

Sanji thought that the danger to Zeff, along with everything else, was his problem and an inconvenience that shouldn't affect the rest of the crew, only for Luffy to punch him and remind him that that wasn't the case, which he and the others then demonstrated by crashing the wedding to save the Vinsmokes. If Zeff ends up being put in danger, then Sanji should have no doubt that the crew will go along to protect him without issue. It's not amnesia, it's character development.

…Except he didn't have that mindset in Zou. Hence the character development.
The Big Mom Pirates aren't going to be likely to attack Baratie after this, and I'm pretty sure Sanji is aware of that. Most of the threats were made by Germa who are now allies/neutral. The threats were made to get Sanji to come to the wedding, which he did, and the fallout that ensued was not centered around him - indeed, in her brief screentime after eating the cake, Big Mom's entire focus has been on Luffy.
But if, for whatever reason, Big Mom targets Baratie, then the Straw Hats will respond no matter how much of a head start the BMPs have, and Sanji will be glad to have his crew behind him in this. They don't micromanage their allies, and that may have negative consequences at some point, but they will always come when they are needed and they will fight to the end.
Humans of this universe are wird. They can take the worst punishments but at the same time random swords and weapon seems able to hurt anyone .

Anyone else feel like Magellan one shotting Blackbeard pirates makes no sense? It's not like Magellan snuck up from behind, they exchanged one line and were obviously enemies. I'm guessing haki is able to protect them from that poison attack although haki wasn't exactly established back then (Hinted, but I don't think Oda solidified certain haki qualities at that point). If they had a rematch, I can't imagine a scenario where Blackbeard doesn't stomp him low diff.
Anyone else not like Gear 4 Luffy? It pretty much introduced like a Super Saiyan in One Piece where they have to be in SSJ form or they're useless. Doflamingo's fight established this pretty well, G2 is too weak and G3 is too slow. Gear 2 and Gear 3 are literally useless against anyone near Luffy's level, they're just fodder clear or to test the waters.
Pre-time skip, I liked the fact that Luffy clearly had enemies way stronger than him but he still possessed raw strength. For example, Magellan was way stronger but Luffy still dealt significant damage with his punch. Same with Blackbeard, the difference between the two is ridiculous but Luffy's G2 punch still hurt him. If they fought now, Blackbeard would just defend it with one haki'd arm and laugh it off.
I know you can make the argument that G2 was already like Super Saiyan.. But IIRC, normal Luffy's punches still dealt significant damage. Now G2 punches are a joke. Can you imagine if Luffy landed a free Gear 2 punch on Kaido? It would hurt Luffy more than Kaido. But that was never the case before the time skip even if the gap was huge (Luffy vs Blackbeard)

1-It means Blackbeard was weaker than Magellan back then or is a total idiot. Both I think make sense. He was the warden of the greatest and Blackbeard never struck me as someone that knows how fighting works.
2-I agree but more on how it makes the 2 other gears subpar. Gear 4th is faster than gear 2nd and stronger than gear 3rd meaning it's no longer about using the best weapon for a specific fight.

Reading back to Tiger's attack on Mariejois, I'm just not sure how he could do all that AND escape if the CP0 was there to protect the World Nobles. An unprecedented incident like that would be good cause for its formation, and it would fit well with Dragon's statement in 803 that Cipher Pol has been growing in power in recent years.

That rematch likely did happen, albeit offscreen - Sengoku heard after the war that Magellan was recovering in the infirmary after taking a beating. But yeah, Shiliew stated that the crew had underestimated Magellan when he saved them, and Magellan has one of the most offensively potent Devil Fruits in the series.

Granted, they had a lot of mouths to feed (two giants, and a couple of King Bulls), not to mention Luffy the bottomless pit, and they were probably not holding back on lavish food and booze, so maybe you could say they were just overtaxing it, but frankly I'm thinking the conversation rate makes 200M seem more like 20,000 US Dollars. Which is like poverty wages. Even if you just moved the decimal up to $200,000, then unless you were very careful about spending, that would only last you 5-10 years. But then, that's 4 times as much as 50M in berries.
Well, you also need to take into account that WaterSeven is an island whose economy is mostly consisting in banks and making ships. Which means that food can be more expensive because it will be imported. But on the other hand, they have a train, which means that they can easily trade with nearby islands.
I think that yeah, you can legit live for the rest of your life if you have 50million berry. Just gotta be careful

It's much more logical to consider that berry is the equivalent of yen in my opinion. Oda isn't an economist and he probably didn't research further than his own wallet to create his world currency.

I'm just basing it on how they could have possibly spent 2/3 of their gold money from Skypiea on a party, regardless of how the berry to yen/dollar conversion works, their economy has to be HELLA different for things to cost what they did for that much to get gobbled up by party favors and booze.
I read that Blackbeard's original name was going to be Everything D. Teach. I kinda wished Oda kept it, but shortened it to Every (or Evory/Avery), as then he would have shared names with both the real Blackbeard and Henry Every, who was the real life King of the Pirates. Would have made him sound like even more of a big deal. Alas.

By Yonko-level I don't mean that he's already as strong as a Yonko, but that so far we've only seen characters who have gained their strength through tremendous effort, whereas one might imagine a young Yonko already to be a "monster", and Edward Weevil might be the only one who fits the bill.

Not that this will make a difference or get a special treatment from now on, but it will just be treated like any other punch, I imagine, or rather "never hit" by default except by its trick.

That was pretty much what I was going with, otherwise it makes no sense that he lost so easily. And it's perfectly understandable, and it's not uncommon to see that happen with other villains, i.e. Crocodile and Enel. Both of them went down fairly easily once a beating got taken because they weren't used to it despite being so evenly matched with Luffy in other aspects, but then they both used their immunity to being damaged a whole ton of times so with them it's a lot easier to assume, whereas with Katakuri we're not exactly sure how long if at all it took him to get his Observation Haki to that level, so he might have taken it on the chin quite a bit on the road to becoming what he was at the time.

I'm 100% sure that this was pointed out either in this thread or in some of the older threads but I haven't really seen it discussed so far. Then again, there isn't much to discuss here, I doubt it's gonna have any relevance in the story, it's just a small observation.

Well, to me it looks like he was never captured in the first place. It seems like he came to rescue her and she told him that she couldn't let all those okamas behind. So Morley just created a place for them to live peacefully and he left. It deserves a little flashback, but unfortunately Oda will probably just say that Morley made that place in a sbs.
Also, if they both were captured. How could they have got ridden of their chains ?
