Oh, come on. That wasn't that bad. Admirals have set of some of the most broken abilities in the entire series. And they are handed idiot ball almost all the time because of it, which is honestly annoying and distracting.
At least at Marineford Whitebeard had a reason to hold back.

A number of characters in the series make less than logical decisions, as people often do. It's oda's perogative as to why they do ir. You can use your imagination to fill in the blanks

Hey, I've been on tumblr and Law has at least 45 of those accounts created by fans for RPs and Ask boxes , I wouldn't be surprised if he has a fan created facebook account or a fan created Twitter account.
