@Juvar:
You mean comics in France? As in, comics excluding BD and manga? Yeah I can buy that, and don't find it that strange. I find that the style differs a lot between American comics and French ones. So that might play some part in it.
Personally, only being able to read some when I visit my aunt and uncle, I was a fan of the "Aldebaran" series, which is a story about inhabiting another planet that lost contact to Earth and was therefore pushed back a good hundred years or more in terms of technology, with really great alien species designs, and "Lanfeust de Troy". Really strange, but a good read xD Might be something of interest for a lot of people here.
Hey I know this is a little off topic, but I was wondering a little bit about some of these BDs. Is there any english version of some of these big titles? Also, any idea how many pages one book is?
I'm kind of interested in reading these, particularly I am thinking of getting into Lanfeust de Troy, but I don't know if my French will be anywhere near good enough, and more potently, I don't know if it's worth the cost to buy (it's like £11 per book on Amazon, and it unhelpfully desn't tell you how many pages are in one book . . .) Oh, if anyone knows anywhere to get them at a better price, I would be interested in that too~
I guess this is pretty off topic but if anyone who knows this stuff could PM me or something? That would be awesome :)
