So, is it me or did this last chapter of Naruto make things even more confusing? Hey, it's nice to see Naruto be a smart ass to Sasuke for a change.
Quick question though, sounds like Bleach could be ending sooner than we thought. Which series do see
ending sooner? Naruto or Bleach? -
Starting the last arc doesn't necessarily mean ending soon… just look at the War Arc in Naruto: it started 3 or 4 years ago (I can't remember exactly) and is still going on.
I'd say: will Kubo get literally bored to death with his own manga before Kishimoto? If so, Bleach will probably be the first one to end; if not, maybe it will be Naruto the first. -
Zombie Powder is the prime example Kubo has ADD, He was bored with it and stopped writing it…Same thing is gonna happen to Bleach...
And I happened to like Zombie Powder...

Hmmm, which one will be the first to go…
On the one hand Naruto has a pretty clear checklist of events and villains that needs wrapping up, wherupon its all done. On the other hand, Kishimoto is being absolutely masterful in dragging said events out for as long as humanly possible.
On the other other hand Kubo can usually be counted on for abysmal pacing, and we barely have any idea of what the plot of the current arc is beyond "Quinzis be trippin", but on the other other other hand this could be a sign that he really don't have the heart anymore and might just go "FUCK IT!" like the fullbringer arc,
So its up in the air. But unless its sales and ratings totally collapse or Kubo loses interest, Imma guess Bleach will be the longest

Each of which accounts for at least probably two chapters. -
Oh Naruto, poor, poor Naruto… To think I read this series since Naruto and Kiba fight during the Chuunin Exam. To think this series would get so boring... It's not even predictable! It's just SO SO VERY BORING!
And Bleach, I read this series since it first came out, I was working with a scanlation group back then, I translated the first few chapters. So many memories, much more bad ones after Kubo pulled a Shyamalan on us with Aizen at the end of Soul Society arc.

So, in all likelihood, I'm gonna guess that the Fullbring arc was tanking so much that the editors decided that he should just cut it to focus on a "final arc" because immediately after, he took a month long break to plan it out and do a few interviews. This monstrosity, though…

Sorry Zeph, but everyone here, myself included, agrees the ROck Lee spinoff was by far the superior series in every way that we wanted in terms of comedy, coherency, and actual characterization.
Aside from them being chibis, its what the series is supposed to be.

Oda's women have always looked the same except for a few exceptions like Robin, Otohime, Perona and all the "ugly" women. Even Robin isn't unique anymore because Violet looks like her. He has also cranked up the fanservice and a whole 3 recently introduced female characters have love gimmicks to them. Violet, Baby 5 and Rebecca, plus Tashigi was turned useless and Monet was pretty terribly handled. Yeah, Oda's turning pretty sexist. Naruto and Bleach are miles worse with it, though. That and One Piece is actually a good manga otherwise.

Violet, Baby five and Monet don't have "love gimmicks" they have self esteem quirks that I'm pretty sure Oda has given to them intentionally to show how Do flamingo manipulates them. Rebecca's is just part of the plot and it doesn't have to be love.
Tashigi theme in this series is being mentally tortured by the fact she is useless and no matter how hard she tries she seems to never acomplish her goals. That happens since her first battle whith zoro passing to alabasta to the war at mariejoa and now punk hazzard is not new and is intentional.
I can explain to you why One Piece isn't sexist but it will took to long. Enjoy your One Piece man.

I kind of understand Kishimoto now, he is not creating new characters in service to the plot anymore, he's creating characters for the video game. The only non combatant we had in the war was that weird glassess girl that helped shikamaru do something. And the feudal lords. We just got to see the tailed beasts for enough time to make a simple moveset out of them, not enough to care about them individualy, and Shukaku just got ignored. And the Zombies.

Stop mocking Bleach, it's one of the greatest pieces of art in my collection, and has a super deep meaning to it that you tools probably cannot grasp with your small minds… Naruto, on the other hand, is just terrible. I mean, the whole premise of ninjas using magic techniques? That's laughable, boring and so unimaginative. I do like the contrasting personalities of Naruto and his nemesis Sasuke, though, I think the portrayal of their rivalry is the only thing that keeps this manga alive in Shonen Jump.
