I'm as sure she's a woman as I'm sure that you're AlphaMale.

Damn, banned already? I was hoping for a chance to rub my sig in his face.
He can be annoying and entertaining. But there is no point to hate him at this point
Hmm I have to wonder what he did to get banned as I didn't take offense … unless he really was AlphaMale and thus was violating an already existing ban.
I ask myself if we will Sanji using hardening some day if everyone and their mother has it now.
I'm pretty sure he has. It'll just be impossible to tell due to his pants and refusal to use his hands in combat.
I can’t check right now, but I think I remember him using it during his fight with Judge. At the very least I remember Judge saying “I can’t believe someone like you can use Haki” (or something like that). And I really doubt he was talking about Observation.

I know he can use CoA br I’m taking about hardening.
And please no silly his pants are black and we can’t see it stuff

I really wanted sanji to fight Oven and have his pants half burned off so we could get a chance to see some hardening

The pants have nothing to do with with. We have seen people with clothes using it and the hardening is drawn in an all “shiny” black that tnaould be easy to see right on the spot
Further more at the wedding Sanji had a white suit on and still nothing
I have somehow the feeling that Oda is doing the purpose to show the need of the raid suit more

Ah yes forgot he was wearing white. Fair enough, though I'd still prefer he show it in a similar fashion. For one thing, to truly live up to his epithet of "Black Leg" (screw Vinsmoke Sanji) and to also see his calf muscle all flexed and hardened.

I read this as the answer to Kazztar's question, lol.
I wonder if Kuma being formerly known as a vicious tyrant was a lie told by the government to smear his name. Sabo did say Kuma was kind.

Well if he used to roll with the Revs, I don't think Dragon would put up with that kind of crap, so it must either be from the far past and he atoned, or it was a fabrication. It usually takes something pretty messed up for me to think someone is irredeemable, so it probably wasn't that bad even if he did.
I dunno where to ask it so I will do this here…
I love this forum and my best memories about One Piece discussion are from here... And that's what I will ask again... Are the "highers" really OK with the traffic here around? This forum sadly feels like a wasteland compared to the good old times. I'm not talking about shit level Oro Jackson spamming but still overall this forum seems to be way down in taffic and most people I know from back in the past are rarely seen or gone... Back in the past THIS was the place where people went first when wanting to talk about One Piece and with the sources and awesome translators as Aohige AP (Miss you)... Now it SADLY seems to focus on Oro Jackson. I know people became older and all to not focus too much on forums but still it is sad.
Not even talking about old as fuck engine still being used...
I hope someone of the highers will answer their feeling and do not come up with... Meeeh it's better that way and everything is fine like in the past

Gonna go out on a limb here and guess this probably isn't the right spot for that particular query. I'm too new to really render an opinion but I'm not unsatisfied with responses and response rates as they are.
Do the fleet have a way of contacting Luffy or knowing when he needs help? I mean I suppose they are not tracking him anytime his paper goes on fire since he is a pirate.

Usopp and/or Robin (most likely Usopp) likely gave them the SH's den den number to the ship.
I wondered if they gave out the numbers to their personal mini Den Den Mushi.
At first I wondered if the Tontatta freed the ones Usopp & Robin had, but I thought that Usopp had called the others. But then I seems to remember a scene of the mechanical aspects been removed and sitting on the ground and the Den Den Mushi roaming free.
And I think the Minks released the ones that the Swirlyhats had. I thin I remember Frank saying he'd catch some and make some.
So question is… do the Strawhats currently have their personal mini Den Den mushis?
why didn't luffy use G4 to destroy noah? Luffy needs to break it immediately and G4 has short time limit, sounds like a mutual thing

also , what's with sanji being scared with insects on the jaya island? (when SHP tried to find that cuckoo bird)
Seemed like that's the beginning of sanji's patheticness compared to zoro

Yes this was the first foreshadowing done by Oda

Technically speaking OroJackson is a better forum. And they're very active on issues that concern OnePiece only. It's more appealing to OnePiece fans.
APforum has a politics of shutting down some people and telling them to "fuck off on OroJackson". The community is polarized around a few members and they're trying to do something "for adults", which means that new readers aren't really welcome. Modmins have grown old and so did the community. If new readers (/young readers) have something to say someone will reply that "this topic has been discussed 10years ago" and that they already concluded this debate. It's mostly a community for the early members, not a forum for OnePiece.
And yeah, you'll notice that in general the big majority of people posting in the last chapter's thread have been around for a few years only. As you said, people grow up and stick in the "general discussion" sub and whatnot. Anyway, the diversity of opinions struggle to be represented in this forum and people get easily banned compared to OroJackson.
Also, "back in the past" was there any competition between "OnePiece forums" ?
So yes, I think the "highers" are very much okay because they're just following their politics of a "forum for grown-ups"

On the other hand, there is a whole lot of stupid people there.

Yes even a lot of them… but the engine is far better and still doesn’t change the fact that AP was far more active in the past... without being stupid.
And he isn’t totally wrong either with his other stuff
Yeah there is a lot of truth in what Nilitch says. This forum does have a habit of shutting people down. I'd say sometimes for the better but not all the time.
It also won't allow people to just make topics on anything and everything and you better believe power level arguments are what some people absolutely love.
Ever so often when discussion slows down here I'll see whats being discussed at Oro and I have no idea how there are like 5 separate topics on Kaidou. One about his fruit, one about his power level, one about his mysterious indestructible body and god only knows what else. Like why?
Then when it comes to power levels you'll see people make whole topics to clarify that Sanji's bounty is bigger than Zoro's but according to translations he didn't deserve it at all because X,Y,Z and this bar graph lol.
Beyond how the forum functions and it's aesthetics, Oro Jackson and places like it are an outlet for people to get into those particular topics that must be really entertaining for them to discuss.
Not to mention every other chapter here there is some new outrage. Some people are pissed 24/7 and who wants to join in on that darn near every week? If it ain't pacing, something is jarring, or an exposition dump, or Sanji doing/not something, Nami faces, Haki, big exposed breasts and it just goes on. I mean I understand, after all we are all mighty scholars and well trained in various forms of writing, if only it was written our way, none of this nonsense would ever be an issue! At the same time a lot of that criticism is valid.
There is a snobby sophistication attached to Arlong Park, there is and we all know it. The way many of us present our arguments and talk down to each other with literary jargon it's no wonder traffic isn't as high as it used to be. I know I've gotten in on the snobbery a bit from time to time. Too big for the Sunny? Puhlease! Too big for Smash? Don't make me laugh! What ever the case I don't think thats necessarily a bad thing either since this board often times gets into discussions that are on another level.
Still thats all just anecdotal. For all I know the same exact things go on in all One Piece forums.

Romance you really are here around long enough to see the lack of activity.
The stuff you mentioned is organization and in this forum always was really wel done organized without spamming threads. So it has nothing to with that.
I would say older member outgrew the need to talk about One Piece all the time since they discuss most of the subjects and by now it's repetitive. And new members don't feel like it is the best place to expose their opinion since they are often shunned by the older members either because their opinions means they don't understand Oda's writing or that they should listen to the older members opinions as if they are facts.

Haven’t we enough new material with each chapter anymore like in the past?

Think about it, how many times has a new person came and wanted to start a thread? Like Artur and his Grand Line Secrets? Only to be told sorry you have to keep it in this discussion or that. I recall seeing it a ton. Plus since this forum more or less looks down on power level arguments the people who want to discuss those things generally have to go else where for an entire topic on the subject.
This forum is way better organized than Oro Jackson thats for sure and I like it better this way. But when you can't make a topic on power levels or have your very own thread for all your own theories people will find a place that will allow it.
Beyond all that a ton of us are old(er) and don't always feel the need or drive to discuss as passionately as we used to. Couple that with not allowing newer people to just post what ever they want and it's not difficult to see why posting traffic is down.
I personally love the story as much as I ever have but what holds me back is the weekly outrage. Every week something catches like fire as the worst thing Oda's done yet and I'm just sitting here like ok. And jarring… Can someone come up with a new word to parrot?

You are fooling yourself. We had no power threads/debates in the past and always this certain of amount of threads.
Now look at the spoiler threads from now and like some years back.
I know people have left but still it is obivios
And abort bitching on a weekly basis.
Maybe because it isn’t as flawless as some people think it is.
I'm an adult and I do adult things like post on Arlong Park Forums. Oh wait a sec, someone's posting about the Baratie arc, gonna have to go shut that down before someone mentions Gin.
You guys can bitch about AP all day, but fact is spend half a day in the OroJackson conspiracy theory style nonsense world and you'll remember why this is where you post.
Arlong Park is facts and journalism, OroJackson is retarded Facebook news stories shared by your crazy aunt about pizzeria child slave rings.

Senpai I’m not bitching (ok the engine is outdated as fuck) because the forum here is still the best one. It just hurts me seeing the activity that low compared to the golden age and that a shithole like OJ is doing fine gathering new members and cursing them with their stupid shit
I think the fact that OroJackson is doing fine gathering new members is a consequence of its lack of quality in the first place, Kishido. Don't feel bad about the relatively low activity here. Truth be told, how much new important information have we gotten in the last few years (post-TS) to warrant rearranging older theories or even coming up with credible new ones? Joy Boy's poneglyph in Fishman Island and Shirahoshi being Poseidon, the national treasure of Marijoa and Imu-sama's reveal are definitely the big ones, although there are some smaller interesting things (Celestials being former kings who moved to Marijoa, Doflamingo being one, Nefertaris being one of the 20 families, bits and pieces of Vegapunk related stuff which don't change anything regarding what was previously established). Most of the other things happening are more closely related to the bigger continuous Wano plotline. Chapter discussions, which are the best place to discuss them, have become bitching fests most of the time. Usually due to the same posters. I know OP is not the perfect piece of art that some people proclaim it as, but do people seriously need to pick apart every single detail every single week and find something to criticise about them all? It becomes annoying and also turns off others who want to discuss the story per se. So instead of the current chapter thread discussing what Marco could tell Luffy or what are his and Weevil's roles in the future, it's about Oda including a friggin recap panel about Marco. This is just my opinion about it. But I still like it better this way, where there is some good discussion happening in the various threads instead of a big bunch of crap flying all over the place with no organization or coherence.
Don't you worry. AP has lots and lots of crazy people too, but they just don't have the opportunity to create new threads every now and then

okay, but that's literally what comes out of the modmins mouths though. "This is a forum for people above 18/20. Go on OroJackson if you don't like this place"
But it's not a bad thing. After all, it's been more than 20years that OnePiece exists. There are fans from all ages at this point. Some are 15, others are 35 or more. And they don't necessarily have to mingle. And the direct consequence is that you can't have many new members on a manga forum if your policy is to have a demographic of young adults and grown- ups
There is also the FaCt that lots of people from OroJackson don't like at all some specific members here.

I don't really think much about the average age of users here or there. It's more that this place has kinda established a standard and doesn't promote power level discussions and dumb theories and stuff like that. Dumb people will gravitate toward OroJackson because of this, and you must never forget how dumb the average battle shonen reader is. Maybe some of them are generally younger, but there's still plenty of older readers like that. Helps that this forum keeps a lot of potential topics neatly contained in big general threads so you can't litter the forum with insanity.
okay, but that's literally what comes out of the modmins mouths though. "This is a forum for people above 18/20. Go on OroJackson if you don't like this place"
Age has little to nothing to do with it lol.
Some of the most articulate thoughtful people over the years here have been teens, and some of the most insane dimwits have been long of tooth.
Hell I remember being a teen on this forum and thinking a bunch of people were huge frustrating idiots for insisting some rando background person on the Galley La roof was Sanji, secretly undercover and about to attack the masked Califah.
Gosh I sure would have loved Orojackson.
Kids and teens aren't dumb, and adults at best only have experience over them.
Yeah, it's not like modmins were asking your ID for verification and it's not like young meant dumb. f course
I don't know what AP was like 5 or 10 years ago, but I think a big part of OP discussions maybe not being as prominent nowadays is because, even if there might be some arrogance that comes with it, the older posters have indeed pretty much "solved" a number of things about the story. For example, as a younger reader who didn't really think at all about who the final villain of the series would be, I'm now fully convinced it's Blackbeard after reading everything that's been presented in his favor and thinking, "oh yeah, all that build up has been in the manga." And like Chrior said, most of the big stuff we've gotten recently has been building up to the big showdown with Kaido in Wano, or been really vague like the Rocks and Im stuff in the Reverie.
I have two questions :
I have two questions :
- Why did the governement attack Jaya back then ? It is said the twenty kingdom attacked Jaya, but what were the reasons ? Where it is mentioned in the manga ?
- Is the name "Birkans" (to define Enel winged kind) only in the english version of the manga ? I've read on the wiki it's not used once in the japanese version of the manga.
I don't think the World Goverment itself attacked the ancient Jaya but rather the neighboring kingdoms wanting to get the Shandorian's golds.
Also, if ever I recall it correctly, Conis or Gan Fall just said Enel and his clowns were from Birka.
Tho not officially classified as "Birkans" as what you would call someone coming from a place called Birka.
I have two questions :

It's never specified that it was the WG kingdoms, but it is strongly suggested that it was something along those lines.
As to where it was mentioned I don't recall exactly but I think it was a few different scenes. Most specifically I think after Robin reads the Poneglyph she talks with the Shandian chieftain a bit, and he says something like "you mean we already fulfilled our duty?" and gets really happy and tearful.
I can't think of what that duty would have been if not some sort of duty to the AK people to protect and pass on the message.

I guess so. But it's a basic assumption given that the manga does tell us Ener's homeland was called Birka/Blika.

@ITaeyeon:

It was pretty heavily implied to related to the Lost Century conflict by various bits of dialogue. There was some very serious gravity given to mentions of it, plus the Poneglyph scene and dialogue.
somehing will happen to Sanji in 912
What will it be?
I bet he will get fucked over again
Other possibilities
If is the last option I really want to see if he loses his emotions as well
somehing will happen to Sanji in 912
How do we know that? Genuine question I'm not sure if a missed some news.
