I'll update this one as I keep up with them.
**Currently Watching:
Shin Sekai Yori (From the New World)**. Wow, I was definitely drawn in. My interest definitely waned (I'd say my Interest'O'Meter was like this: First minute or so: [|||||||||], After that: [|||||||], After the 10 minute mark: [|||], At the 17 minute mark: [|||||||||], After 17 minute mark: [||||||||]. All in all, I loved the animation style; it has this drowsy effect on you that puts me under the same type of lull Haibane Renmei gave me, or Tsuritama. I was quite a fan of the ending song, too, and the style of music there all but confirmed that this is a show for me. There are not happy times ahead in this show.
Kamisama Hajimemashita. Eh… found it alright. It didn't start being enjoyable until it moved locations into the demon realm, so hopefully it stays there. Dear God are those two little things that follow the MC everywhere annoying. They'll have to tone them down or I'm not sure I'll be watching this, solely because of them.
Code: Breaker. Found this okay. A little too heavy-handed for my tastes (as in, constant dramatic music was always playing to intensify everything. Hell, this music would have been fit to play during Marineford of OP lol, and it's only the first episode and there's hardly anything going on!) Animation is pretty good… The art design I find to be better. Needless animal abuse is always a minus for me, and I really did not find it necessary, unless there's going to be development concerning the blue-haired dude's interactions with the dog with the MC. I'm not really sure how that guy burning the thugs was the start of some big thing, since he was shown to do it before, but hey, part of the fun is finding out! Major bonus points for the ending, wasn't expecting her to get charred like that (if she indeed does).
Medaka Box Abnormal. I prefer the manga, but that doesn't mean I won't enjoy the hell out of this. Love what they're doing with THE KING Oudo; great visual effects that make him pop out in any scene he's in. That's definitely not the voice I imagined for him, but it IS original! The opening gives us a peek of Kumagawa, and other than that is just cool as hell. Yesss. I am rather impressed by the voice acting of Unzen's sister, the 15869285014184925 girl. It's gotta take a lot of talent to be able to do that constantly. Bravo.
Psycho-Pass. Oh my goodness. It was a total shock to me to find out that this wasn't adapted from a manga or light/visual novel, but rather its own stand-alone project. It's so solid and tight right now. The concept is really fascinating, and the latest avatar episode was really hypnotic when in those scenes.
Ixion Saga DT. Well that sure was a pleasant surprise.
My main thing with this anime is the flow of events. There was no awkward pacing or anything; everything was smooth like butter.
Add on polished animation, Araragi and Zoro's VAs, nice comedy, nice music… and you've got yourself a pretty darn decent anime!
I was cracking up when the princess's assistant started talking in that brutish guy voice.
--- Is that guy riding a freaking llama in the opening? Haha.
Alright, the villain's name is freaking ED, and... "Fullmetal Ballchemist"
I nearly fucking died. Ha hahahahahhaa. I can't stop laughing.
This anime is great!
Btooom! What a major disappointment that the characters don't shout BTOOOM in a manly manner and instead say it like it's some game title like Call of Duty. It's fuckin' BTOOOM, shout it you lazy fools. Other than that I'm actually liking this. I mean yeah it includes rape, but in their situation people would definitely think of rape. It's not justified (I don't wanna be called a sexist man pig! I have a human nose and everything and hands instead of hooves!), but being stranded on a secluded island is definitely a situation that would harbor rape. Especially when you're a fat guy who has obviously not been laid. Hell, even if you're a normal well-adjusted guy, no sexual contact or porn will make you try to do unspeakable things.
The komodo dragons were a really random but honestly fun development. Although that dude should honestly be dead from all their toxins, shouldn't he? They have hundreds and they spread really fast.
A major reason to watch this is for episode 4 where you get to watch Kurapika's voice actor become a freaking maladjusted nutcase. It's quite fun to see the range the voice actor has there, and that was easily the best episode in the series so far.
