@piratemarimo:
Believe me when I say that compared to this video, our FP days are actually better. I merely wanted to drag someone down in the abyss with me.
Well don't mind if I return the favour
!
@Supernova122:
Hahaha. That would be interesting, but I don't think I can do that in the middle of a lecture :p Or, I could, but I would get kinda infamous.
I have the misfortune (or is it really common?) to have a whole host of pretty dull lecturers … I have like one or two who are actually interesting. My previous maths lecturer literally just read from the handout ... unfortunately not like Phoenix Wright. More like "ummm, yes, so, ummm, here we have, ummm, a cross b, ummm and then, ummm ... " <--- this is our fast course maths hahahaha
Ah, well I did it when I was revising/studying. At home. Alone. :P
Lecturers who read from the paper are pretty dry and boring, yeah. Doodle! At least the year is ending soon - that means the semester is too, right? Then you get to pick new courses! :D Maybe check whether your university has some kind of review system that will tell you what certain lecturers are like. Mine has a student-run website where people can write reviews for certain modules and tell you which class is an absolute time-vampire, which semester to take a course in so as to get the good lecturer, etc.
Hang in there! It'll be over soon.
@Hiroy:
I use to major Graphics Design, but I was more mislead into it. I want to get into animation, but really? I just want to study the fundamentals and see where it takes me as far as personal projects or being involved in actual projects goes. If I get an actual job in it, then it would be swell but… It's not really my focus. I just love studying this kind of stuff if it serves to benefit what I like doing.
That doesn't sound like a bad idea at all, actually. It'd be great if your university/college education serves to enhance your main skills and talents, and give you a greater sense of direction about where you want to head. Halfway through my university years, I started thinking less about the technicalities of my classes and trying to remember everything, and more about what I really wanted to get out from uni. Your passion is clear and strong, and I hope something works out for you :)
As for my family, yeah. They don't visit Miami at all anymore because alot of their closer relatives that lived here passed away. And that includes my cousin I spoke about some time ago. I promised myself to not face them until I atleast got my life in order. But I've been bashing this wall for so long that I question whether or not it's worth waiting till I had something to prove (starting to realize that may be a silly reason to avoid talking to them in the first place >_>). It would be nice to see how time has treated them after such a long time.
I agree with wolfy, plus… family is kind of the people who have to stick around even when not everything is okay for you, right? To me, at least. I'm sure they'd like to know how you've been doing :) I don't know what re-establishing ties with them would be like for you but maybe it'll contribute to another piece of the puzzle clicking into place. If you're starting to miss them, it's probably mutual on their end too. Whether or not you've got a list of achievements and accolades to present to them.
