who is pearl? The scorpion chick didn't know nen that was before the ants learned about it. I'm also not saying that nen makes you invincible against all those normal techniques but the gap has to be insanely large to play a role.
Edit: ah i think I know who you mean the rabbit teeth guy? That also was a nen fight. So you can't really make an argument of how killua's basic stats overwhelmed that thing. I garantee you if he didn't use any nen he couldn't have done that.
Hisoka's cards are infused with nen (it was called shu I think). That's the same thing wing did with the ripped page of the book to make it stick in the wall.
If that isn't the case hisoka's cards have to be special similar to killua's yoyos which I don't think is very probable.
I don't get where because killua gives gon sometimes a shove into the right direction therefore he must outmatch gon comes from.
Also I'm not sure at what kind of pointers you're referring to. Most of his tips are more tied to knowledge or battle experience those aren't related to basic stats.
Gon's battle instinct often make up for the battle experience anyway since the very start of the series.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, outmatching someones means to me that there is no feasible chance to win under normal circumstances.
As for gon not being well suited I beg to differ. If anything killua is ill suited to fighting gon. Killua is a careful and logical fighter type which reflects in all his techniques.
He doesn't have any that would put him at immediate risk, I mean look at his godspeed technique renders chance of him receiving any damage for a short amount of time. Most of his other techniques are all mid range, his yoyos put him at a distance.
Gon is the freaking unpredictable lunatic in the fight which just becomes even more dangerous with killua knowing if he gets hit by his technique he's done for. Really think about gon the kid is pretty scary if it comes to unpredictable dumb stuff. Think of his fight against the drill guy, vs reiza and vs the bombers. Fighting against gon is somewhat like playing with a bomb. You're going to be done for if it explodes.
Anyway I'm not saying they're evenly matched all I'm saying is that if they were to fight there wouldn't be a clear winner in the way of zucci vs hisoka.
They're still close enough in level (because again nen is the most important thing in a nen fight) that it wouldn't be a clear affair.
