I must be the only that sees Zoro learning fire not really relevant to Sanji potentially learning the fruit. It's not like they are going to fight seriously and Zoro can cut logias with haki, and I don't believe he would eat it because logias doesn't exactly seem to go with a swordsman in style IMO. I'd rather some new kid that will be part of the next generation (like Shanks and Roger) eat it to be honest, I don't want any of the SHs to eat. If someone has to eat it, it would make sense for Sanji to do so and maybe then he will probably get in the same level as the other two or close to it anyways.

its funny a few years back i once predicted that Zoro would get the mera fruit (i thought ace was dead) and that it would be the only way to save him after the damage he took for luffy
Though if Sanji gets it seriously Zoro needs to show off because he's just not done much really

I like Violet already, she matches Sanji very well and a dancer would be a great addition to the crew. I would not have a problem with Sanji getting the fire fruit at all but I could also see Violet getting it instead if we find that she is actually a capable fighter. Sanji definitely needs a powerup and the fruit is as good a powerup as any, I still think he could have taken Vergo if he had been fully fit on punk hazard. :ninja:

I thought the chapter was really good. I'm surprised more people aren't thinking the toy soldier could be the next crew mate. I mean if you look at past characters there has been something unusual about them: Franky, Brook, Chopper and most likely Jimbe. I'd say Oda would love to add a toy soldier.
Finally someone else thought about it other than me :D I think i was first in this thread who suggested it xD People were already joking about Violet and … Lucy , but toysoldier got real shot here! We don't know much yet, but i got a hunch! haha

I think that kinemon is going to be the one to retrieve the sword from the thief, then he and Zoro will meet up and he will challenge Zoro to a duel (which Zoro will win) and he will get the sword back. Let's face it, if Zoro was the only one chasing the thief then he would probably get away or get Zoro hopelessly lost.
I with many feels a free powerup like this doesn't fit with how far the strawhats have come, and a gift like this would mean that the crew don't have the tools to achieve their dreams.
Luffy has shown he wants a trustworthy friend to have it, but it doesn't mean a crew member.

The toy solider's personality seems a little bit too identical to Brook's. Only issue that stops me from taking the toy serious as a candidate.

There is only devil fruit that Sanji want to eat is Suke Suke no mi, I don't think Sanji would eat Mera Mera no mi , he is not interesting in DF ( except Suke Suke )

Zoro will cut fire, but it won't be because of Haki. It will be because Kinnemon or someone from Wano taught him how to do it.

Anyone else remember when people were suggesting nakama for the Strawhats that a dancer was needed? Violet fits that description seriously. But seriously, I don't know what you people are so adamant about, Sanji getting into crazy shenanigans with some random broad sounds like the plot to the best cheesy movies of the 90's ever made.
Also, the thought of Luf- I mean, "Lucy" just roflstomping everyone in the Colosseum to a bloody pulp pleases me.
Look at the list why Sanji "can" get the Mera Mera fruit:
1- Sanji use fire in his attacks. Power up.
2- Sanji with sky walk doesn't need to swim if Jimbei joins.
3- Zoro will cut fire so Sanji/Zoro rivalry.
4- Sanji needs to become stronger than Jimbei.
5- Mugiwaras needs a Logia in crew. Zoro, Franky, Nami, Ussop, Jimbei can swim. Chopper, Brook, Luffy, Robin, Sanji? 5-5 swimmer and non swimmer.
6- Sanji needs to get a higher bountie. One higher than Jimbei so Jimbei will be the 4th force.
7- Sanji is the third in command like Copper Gaban was in Gol D Roger crew.
8- The Strawhat pirates will get an influence of Gol D Roger pirates and Whitebeard Pirates. Luffy (Rayleigh), Sanji (Marco and Ace fruit?)
9- I want to see Sanji creating HEARTS with fire.
10- Blackbeard is getting the strongest fruits, this is a way to hide one.
11- Sanji can cook with his OWN fire.
12- Ace was the third most powerful in Whitebeard army, Sanji will become the third most powerful in Strawhat pirates after Jimbei joins.
13- Strawhat pirates will become more dangerous is they get that fruit for a crewmate.
14- Sanji can light his own cigarretttes with a finger.
15- Sanji yellow hair=fire come on!!!!
16- Zoro is the only one who did an important thing for Luffy, getting all the damage from Kuma. This is a way for Sanji to do some sort of sacrifice for to protect him Luffy.
17- I think Sanji will be seriously damaged this arc and the only way to save him will be to eat that fruit.
18- Marco and Sanji will fight some day.
