Naruto and Bleach: Let's put this thread to bed I

Narutos chapter was decent, finally built up to something good for the next chapter. Bleach was a bit all over the place with the back stories, and the whole time with the watch one this was all i could think of

yep, raikage with two hands is an error. guess it will be corrected in the volume release (just like WB's or Zoro's scars in OP)
-
I dont think its an error, ten chapters ago or something they brought him a new hand.
-
i don't understand.. isn't that Hiraishin is some kind of teleport jutsu and was based on time and space jutsu or kuchiyose no jutsu?
-
I actually grew so bored with this week's Bleach I actually closed my browser and did other things. That never happens to me.
But to get more in depth, Kubo seriously has no idea how to structure a flashback. It's like he just finally realized "Shit, I haven't did a single thing to characterize any of my villains. I guess I should take the time to set up their backstory in a smooth fashion and-PFFFFT fuck it I'm Kubo."
The flashback really feels incredibly out of place. Switching from one character's backstory to another's on the next page while mid-story is just jarring.
And really, even if we ignore how poorly structured this flashback is, they're pasts still aren't that compelling and, like many things in Bleach before, don't make a lick of goddamn sense.
Riruka finds her powers because she wants to keep things from people. For no reason.
Yukio just doesn't speak to his parents. For no reason other than because he feels like he isn't being treated like an equal. 9_9
NotBradley inherits a watch who, as an adult, immediately assumes that there is no god other than a watch and murders his wife just because he wanted to see if he could (all while giving the derpiest grin). For no reason. Oh and it somehow makes me lose an eye, because as we all know Fullbring does whatever the hell Kubo wants it to at that moment.
Jackie is given stolen boots and her family is murdered. Her boots activate her powers when her family's blood drips on the boots. To Kubo, that counts as a backstory and explanation to her powers.Oh and Riruka turning Rukia back just to attack her was just dumb writing. It just means that instead of leaving Rukia in a position with little power, Riruka wants to get one good shot on Rukia only for next week or so (depending on Bleach's pacing) Rukia is going to be actually able to win.
Man fuck Bleach.
-
This week's Naruto was surprisingly good. PLEASE don't screw it Kishimoto!
-
Tsunade is dumb or what? How the hell does she want to use Hiraishin on Madara? And now she should have 10 minutes at most to finish this before she loses her chakra.
-
I assume that NotBradley must have hated his wife or something.
-

She already made physical contact with Madara when she got teleported.
-
So…..lemme guess.
Rukia after almost turning the fight around has her powers sealed off....again, loses and has to be rescued by a guy.
.....Sigh.

Cyan, as usual with you I have no idea what I'm looking at.

The Fullbringers' flashbacks were so bad they're hilarious.
-
Naruto was actually quite good, Kages looking badass is always welcome. Bleach, aah Bleach, where do I begin? You're shit, there, I'm not gonna waste any more time on ya today. Seriously, what a fucking shit flashback.

Cyan, as usual with you I have no idea what I'm looking at.
It's the reaction for something so immensely stupid that the only visual representation for it is running headlong into a tree limb while the president looks on
-

And it's also nice how Not Bradley's backstory basicly involves him killing innocent people, yet Jackie's backstory was about having her whole family killed.
I don't even know how they could get along.
-
Kubo, just… just what did you intend to accomplish by telling such a poorly constructed out of place back story about a god complex murderer, ordinary kleptomaniac, spoiled dumb child and a generic innocent daughter of a criminal?

Could have figured that on your own, No Maam.

Naruto: the chapter was mostly build-up to that double page spread at the end, but the spread actually got me excited for next week's chapter!
…until I remembered the distinct possibility that all of the Kages could fail miserably next week and need Naruto or Itachi to bail them out. I'm honestly hoping Kishimoto doesn't screw this up - given how badly he's neglected the Konoha rookies, this is the last possible hope that I have for this arc.
Bleach: so, after two pages worth of backstory, Kubo's expecting us to empathize with the Fullbringers now? I don't know whose was worse: Jackie's backstory was pretty generic, Riruka is simply self-centered, Yukio's an arrogant kid who thinks he's better than everyone else, but the grand prize goes to Patch-Butler (I honestly don't remember his name), whose backstory made no sense. It starts off as the Christopher Walken scene from Pulp Fiction. Then, out of nowhere, he thinks to himself "man, I wish my wife just dropped dead right now", and she did. Aside from a brief moment of regret, he feels absolutely nothing over this. The rest of the chapter was just boring.
-

Okay, and? I still don't see how they're supposed to use Hiraishin against him. Even if they could, Madara will understand soon enough how it works considering that he will see that three other shinobi are using the technique.

The uchiha gayness was explained, Hashirama was putting sticks inside their asses.

Well, I simply assume now that she can use the technique like the fourth, and he only needed to touch his opponent to "mark it". At least he did it to Killer B in a flashback.
How is this useful? They can teleport to Madara whenever they want, placing seals and whatnot. Especially handy when you consider the cooldown of the Rinnegan, which only lasts split seconds after use.
Edit:
Yup, chapter 543 http://www.mangareader.net/naruto/543/2
Actually, this is probably the most useful technique when you have to place seals on somebody who possesses various overpowered ways to avoid contact (Susanoo, Rinnegan crap, Mokuton walls etc). -
I flipped through the Bleach chapter.
I didn't get it.
I went back and I read it.
I didn't get it.
I read it backwards.
I didn't get it.
This chapter was perfect. I never spent more than 10 minutes reading a chap of Bleach in my entire life.

Really enjoyed the Naruto chapter and finally we got to see that kid of the 7 Mist Swordsman do something. The Kages are looking pretty badass on the last page and I'm distinctly happy that Naruto did nothing but fail this chapter! Please let the Kages handle Madara by themselves or at least take out the Mummy Tsuchikage!
Naruto can fight Sasuke and Tobi or whatever. Let the Kages handle Uchiha Madara on an epic 5 on 1 battle! Well, 5 vs. 2 if you include the Mummy Tsuchikage but he's split in half and should easily be disposed of soon enough.
Bleach, bleh.
-
Naruto was ok this week (judging by its rather low standards).
However, that Tsunade kick looked fugly as hell. -

They still need Genma, Raidou and the third shinobi to teleport something. If one of them dies, it's useless. Madara can easily take them out.
-
I find it hard to feel any excitement about this Naruto chapter. Although, since both Madara and the kages have no importance to Kishimoto's grand masterplan, and basically are throw away characters, he might let them go all out.

How can sarutobi compare to man who had body of steel, blood of iron, was untouchable, could sms himself to anywhere, ate titanium and shat chains. Damn, story should have been set in kumogakure.

He was better! That's all. Don't question it.

So. Anyone ventured to Bleach Asylum yet? Their "OMG-SUCH-DEEP-BACKSTORIES-WHAT-A-GENIUS!!!!" comments will be fun to read
-
Naruto chapter was decent but this not going to end well.Liked the final spread it and nice bonus, naruto barely in sight.
Bleach,kubo….....pls stop......pls.
Stick to fights or something. -
This is like the 4 yonkous taking on a Gol D roger zombie.
That could still happen. Moria could reappear, steal Roger's body from the Marines- who preserved it for some reason- and somehow take Rayleigh's shadow to put in the Roger body. It's all extremely unlikely, but possible.

Assuming Kishimoto would be the author of One Piece.

Please explain to me what is the Fullbringers' problem with the Shinigami, especially Riruka's. I doubt they had anymore than one single interaction with Shinigami (which is the one they're having right now). Before they met Ginjo, they probably weren't aware of the Shinigami, and even if they did the Shinigami have no business with them. Afterwards they still lived their own lives as they pleased.
So why does they care so much what the Shinigami think of themselves?
-
Just when I thought Kishi explained how stupid flying thunder god bird technique worked… And what's up with people knowing the technique now? ...I feel like, to read Naruto is the same as driving a spoon at the side of your temple and never to stop.
And whoever that kid is with the sword from the Mist. Kishi I don't care about him. You haven't developed his character at all, so don't start commenting on how much he's grown.
I hate Naruto.

I'm not sure, all of their problems are related to their families or people in their lives, it had nothing to do with Shinigamis. Maybe Ginjou manipulated them like he did with Ichigo.

Well, as far as we know they never fought so we don't know. It was only said and frankly from the perspective of the admiring Iruka that Sarutobi was the strongest Hokage.
! Personally, I think that's a load of crap because a big theme of the manga is the next generation surpassing the previous one and Minato (the 4th Hokage) was obviously stronger than the Sarutobi (the 3rd Hokage). Though, to be fair we never got to see the 3rd in his prime and he had a considerable reputation then. Also, to be fair regarding that theme about the next generation surpassing the previous one there may be a few exceptions like Kakashi and Minato. I don't believe Kakashi will ever surpass his mentor Minato.
Anyway, only Kabuto said Sarutobi was the strongest Kage of his generation but mostly that's just based on him being the Hokage.
! The Leaf has the reputation of being the strongest village as it was the first of the 5 Great Ninja Villages and it was founded by the legendary ninjas Hashirama and Madara, so people naturally consider the Hokage the strongest of all the Kages.
With all of that said I think Sarutobi was awesome in his own right. He supposedly knew and could use every jutsu in the Leaf and as an old man he handled 2 Hokages and an S-Class ninja pretty damn well.
-
this time naruto had a good chapter … but didn't the raikage lose his left hand due to sasuke's amaterasu ... but at the ending of the chapter he has both hands... lol...
-
Nice jump from:
I like this watch–------> THERE IS NO GOD!!!!!
-
And isn't it funny that…NotBradley (I seriously don't know his name) continued to believe in the watch when his father died early of an illness?Good luck watch my ass.
After re-reading that bit of the chapter I see that the father passed the watch on to NotBradley when he was a little kid so presumably that's why NotBradley's father died of illness. At least that's how NotbRadley sees it.
All the luck in the world didn't save NotBradley from Kenpachi though. I stick to my, "Good luck watch my ass" statement.
–-------------------------------------------------
The only Fullbring I remotely feel sorry for due to these flashbacks is Jackie. The person I really feel sorry for is that poor sap stuck in the doll house and force fed sweets for who knows how long.
-
Wait wait wait… brain just melted. Tobi. Sarutobi. TOBI...
Just watch. Tobi is going to be Hiruzen's brother that wasn't mentioned until just now. Or Sasuke Sarutobi (his father). Or his other son (Asuma's brother, or Konohamaru's father).
-

 That….could be it. Not sure what to think now.
-
The expression of that poor bastard stuck in the toybox was great.
I guess out of all the Fullbringer flashbacks, I guess that Jackie's was probably the best, just because it felt the most plausible of the bunch.
-
The Naruto chapter was pretty good this week, I guess. I'm actually looking forward to seeing the five kages fight.
As for Bleach, I thought the chapter was really well done, except for one thing. After watching the anime episode yesterday, Ginjo clearly says they all had their parents killed by Hollows. This chapter seems to retcon that.

No no the thing is that their mothers were attacked by hollows while pregnant, that is the origin of their Fullbring powers(Kubo still didn't explain how Ichigo had them) I guess the anime made a mistake.

Who are they getting revenge on? Shinigami? For what? And Why on earth was Bradley so evil?

No, the anime was right. I guess I mixed that up a bit in my head.
But still, if the mothers got killed while pregnant, why is Yukio's mother there in this flashback? And didn't Jackie say both her parents were killed by her father's illegal business, or just her father?
-

The mothers weren't killed while they were pregnant. That would make it impossible for all these Fullbrings to exist. The mothers were attacked by Hollows while they were pregnant but lived from the attack and went on with their daily lives and repressed the memory where some seemingly invisible monster knocked them around abit one day. At least that's how it must have gone.
It was just a bad day.
