Ah yes Aizen is awesome. Just not at all in the way Kubo intended for him to be.
Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend

Aizen: Ichigo. I have planned everything about your life since you were born, down to the tiniest fluctuations of your individual atoms. In fact I even had complete control over your future while you were still in your mother's womb, by carefully altering her diet to specifications precise to the nanocalorie. I manipulated every aspect of the Earth and every other dimension–Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, the border world, even Hell--spanning dozens upon dozens of millennia, just to set up for your birth. A fuckstick says what.
Ichigo: What!?
Aizen: And it was all for that moment.
-
I'm still waiting for the chapter where it's revealed that Ginjou is Aizen's son.
-
Things Ginjou Is
Aizen's son and quintuple-crossing co-conspirator
Ichigo's half-brother
Ryuuken's old roommate at ramen school
Tsukishima's glory hole buddy
Kenpachi's release
Espada -1 -
I thought Ginjou was Rob Lucci.

Your comparison works for every other Kubo's character. And even then it isn't saying much.

Let's not forget all the other revelations that Aizen wanted to tell Ichigo, but decided to cut it short since everyone was getting bored:
Aizen: Then the Hokyogu caused most of Japan to watch Don Kanonji's Spiritual Trips show so it wouldn't get cancelled before they could find the spirit I planted inside the local hospital so that Rukia and Ichigo could be dragged to see it so they could be seen on TV so the Soul Society could find them at just the right moment.
Ichigo: !!!
Aizen: Still surprised? But did you also not realize that the Hokyogu allowed you to escape from detention by manipulating the principal and Ms. Ochi?
Ichigo: …

Silv,
your avvie is scaring me a bit. Maybe a lot.

Ginjou is Aizen's brother and NotAizen is going to be Bitch Boss' ex-husband.
Callingitcallingit
-
kubo is fucked whatever he does
if Ginjou is family of aizen or is aizen it proves he cant write mangas
if Ginjou is not family of aizen or is aizen it proves he cant draw original and new characters
silly kubo

I especialy love how he somehow develops morals when he's being stuck into a pokeball by Urahara, what with what he did to Hinamori, twice, his plan to sacrifice tens of thousands of people to create a key, and the sole reason he did not make that key being the fact he wanted to go around and kill a random bunch of kids to stick their corpses in a visible spot to piss off Ichigo.
Kinda late there.

Lemme get into the eyes of a Bleacher.
Huff…ha...hoohahooha..."YEAH BUT...Ichigo said AIZEN WAS BEING CONTROLLED BY THE HOGYOKU."

The main villain has evolved into a hilarious caricature of himself. It’s flanderization at mach speed. One can only stare in amazement as the somewhat-likeable master plotter/illusionist gradually shifted into omniscient master of gambits inconceivable by the theoretical lovechild of Batman and Xanatos. I suspect that the man may have found reality’s cheat codes.
This is a quote from a reviewer on TV Tropes about Aizen which I'm rather fond of, particularly the lovechild of Batman and Xanatos line. They might as well call asspull the Aizen Gambit just like Batman Gambit or Xanatos Gambit except completely implausible. Either that or The Kubo. I should probably watch Gargoyles, it has to be better than this crap at least. And Xanatos, from what I hear, is an awesome villain in the way Greg Weisman intended, unlike Aizen who is only awesome because of how ridculously over the top and stupid everything he does is.

Off-topic, but what the hell. Kareem, is your avatar Y Ruler of Time?
Yes, it used to be until I changed it. I rather like Y ruler of time, I think he's great. But I like to change my avatar to characters from fiction that I like. Currently it is Furuichi from Beelzebub. Read Beelzebub it's way better than this crap, not that that is saying much. Hey MetaMario I though you liked to change up your avatar every so often, before Kuwabara it was Zaraki, do you want to change it again I mean it's been a while. It doesn't matter if you don't though.

Ah, I knew it. I enjoy Y Ruler of Time's videos, they're entertaining. Also, I have starting reading Beelzebub, but I seriously need to catch up. It's great so far, though.

I actually do want to change it again. Either back to Kenpachi or something else. I just need a good size.
…..To stay on topic, I'll offer this: Aizen was entertaining for all of the wrong reasons. Yes, he was perhaps one of the blandest villains in all manga. But honestly, it was funny just to see what crazy thing he would say/do next. This Fullbring arc is making me actually miss him, and that's when you know this arc sucks. It makes you miss Aizen.

Yes Read Right to Left is great, I just wish it came out more often.
And I agree Aizen is unintentionally awesome, but it would still be better to have a villain who was intentionally badass/hilarious (I'm not saying Aizen is badass, that's just what Kubo intends for him to be, and failing miserably at those intentions). -

2 Things:
Where is Grimmjow?
and
When is Urahara going to revealed as the true villain?
-
I propose that every Felch Thread will be the Zero thread, and to diferentiate them the true number will be in "from 1 to x".
-
2 Things:

Forgotten.
and
When is Urahara going to revealed as the true villain?
Quite possibly never with Kubo's pacing and falling ratings. And it's more likely he'll make the Spirit King evil based on Aizen's final words. And Urahara will just be the helpful shopkeeper with a shinigami past like usual.
I propose that every Felch Thread will be the Zero thread, and to diferentiate them the true number will be in "from 1 to x".
I second this.
-
Urahara will be revealed to have been the real big bad in the epilogue. What a twist!
-
Urahara will be revealed as the person who planned Aizen's life all the way out.
-
Do you know how annoying (and somewhat insane in a bad/good way) having two master planners trying to outplan each other in a cosmic chess game would be? Heck, it would be even funnier if two other characters were controlling Aizen and Urahara in said chess game with them as the "kings": Urahara the "(glossy) black" side, Aizen the "(Klan) white" side.
-
In the last chapter it will be revealed the real mastermind was Ichigo all along. He was just playing a part of the game, before revealing himself as the Soul Kings son. Everything Aizen and Urahara have done played right into his hand.
-
Did someone say Soul King??
!

LOL. I totally did not see that coming
-
You could say the fake exscellence of the unexpected plot twists and elaborate mind games of this manga, as well as Kubo revelling in it, are a part of its wrong charm.
Silv,
your avvie is scaring me a bit. Maybe a lot.
Don not step into the pony's den, Silence. Run.
-
I tried something out but it came out a complete failure. With Blackbeard as Azien and Lafitte as Gin, but it wasn't that fun,
or that great. But you guys can have a look at what I managed to do before I gave up this idea…!
-
I dunno, it seems pretty good.
Only BB looks a bit iffy :P

Haha, my original plans for my comic were to make Galactose the Big Bad, and not Nexus.
Actually, it was more of a joke idea…
A funny alt. ending that'd be! -

Come on, Ichigo! You didn't make good grades for nothing! BE A MASTERMIND, YOU FOOL.
-
Ichigo doesn't have the presence to pull that off. Any believable villainous mastermind has to dress like… well, like Aizen does.
-

Yeah, but Ichigo is covered in black, and out previous villain, Aizen was covered in white. This means that Kubo will make an inverted type thing. It will be a contrast to show that black is now evil, and Aizen (white) will be released so that he can stop Ichigo!
-

Would this imply Uryu to be the better candidate? With how he dresses and how the anime shorts like to joke about his self-made Quincy outfits….
However the truth is that neither Ichigo nor Uryu will be the final mastermind. That place will go to Keigo.

Anyone have any opinions on the anime filler?
I must admit that for only three episodes, things are moving at a much faster pace than usual Bleach anything. Certainly faster than the Bount arc and Amagai arc, and probably even faster than the Zanpakuto Rebellion.
I judge anything Bleach based on what Bleach is - every single arc, filler or not, is about protecting Soul Society and the World of the Living. That aside, what this arc is offering seems pretty interesting. The villain is good, his powers are very unique (the power to cut the time it takes the enemy to attack you out?) and Ichigo losing his powers are very well played here and realistic.
My only real complaint is that this arc features everyone and their grandmas, but it looks like Hinamori will get the cut once again because of Aizen. Oh well, at least Kenpachi, Byakuya and Mayuri will get some attention. And seeing as there is a fake Kenpachi stronger than the original… expect hell to break loose.
-
From what I've seen of Bleach fillers, it's far better than canon Bleach.
That's not very hard to pull off, though.
-
Another reason the anime is generally superior: the jokes in the manga have gotten pretty bad and forced. Giving Ichigo cartoony eyes is not enough, Kubo, and having two hotheads bicker is more annoying than it is amusing. Whereas the anime takes the character's quirky personalities and riff on them to genuinely comical effect.

I have to agree with this.
Take Ichigo for example. In my eyes, I like him as a character more in the anime version than in the manga. Yeah, it's obvious the anime is based on the manga so the nonsense involved with him is carried over as well, but he seems to have much more of a personality in the anime, especially the filler.
-
Not only that, but in the filler arcs things happen. It's really sad when it feels like the characters go through more character development in arcs that are ultimately restricted to upholding the status quo, than in the source material where Kubo ostensibly has the freedom to take his characters wherever he likes.
-
I would actually watch Bleach: The filler series based on these ideas. Which just once again goes to show that Bleach would kick ass as a gag manga where peoples personalities didn't vanish whenever we enemy #100X turns up.
Toeified titles of Bleach episodes I'd love to watch:
Soul society fashion show! Aizen is the judge?!
Byakuyas crippling addiction! The threat of starbucks
A dangerous dream! Yammys drivers license
-
Behind the curtains of time! Ichigo makes a cake.
-
Bleach as a gag manga. Got to say it would be better than the trainwreck we actually have before us.

Valentines Day Looming! Zommari's hunt for the right words!
Mayuri needs glasses! Quest for new Eyes!

30,000 Abilities and Nothing to Watch! Aaroniero Get His Jollies Trolling Rukia
Shunpo! Sonido! Hirenkyaku! The Supersonic Three-Legged Race!
Kon Fuses with Hougyoku! A World of Boobs!?
-
New Heroes! Himitsu Sentai Karakura!
Today's Lesson Is…! Kenpachi Teaches Home Ec!
Ha Ha! The Captains Are Using the Internet!
-
pfft… These ideas are hilarious.
I can't believe nobody's mentioned a filler wherein Soul Society has a sleepover. In Hueco Mundo. :ninja:
Ichigo and Friends Go to Disney World!!
Kenpachi gets lost on the moon!!
Mayuri and the Kindergarteners?
Yachiru's Search for Ice Cream!
Grimmjow and the Orphaned Kittens
Aizen and Gin Prank Call Soul Society.
Ichigo and Friends Go on a Road Trip!
The Hollows' Day Off at the Spa?!
-
i'm laughing so hard right now. someone needs to make a couple of flash animations about these concepts.
-
Any of you guys remember those two Bleach anniversary specials (the Arabian one and then the Monster one)?
Many Bleachtards on Crunchyroll hated them, but I personally thought they were golden. That is the kind of thing I think Bleach would be good at.
Let me come up with a few more titles:
Crisis! Who Broke Yamamoto's Vase?!
Tosen's Big Day: Meeting Snoop Dogg!
Girls Slumber Party at Ichigo's House! Today's Crisis is a Strip Poker Match?!
Isshin and Ryuken! Handcuffed Together By Accident!
Chad's Personal Quest: Retracing His Mexican Heritage
Orihime's Cooking Class Special!
Bleach One Piece Crossover Special! (Haha, yeah right)
