I was hoping for predictions, just saw an irrelevant discussion about the cover page
oh snap
Well, there's not much left to predict. And this is technically discussing an aspect of the volume. Oh snap.

We can predict the SBS! I am still waiting for someone to ask: "Oda-sensei, can Apoo turn his dick into a functional flute?"

If he ever replied to that question, it would probably go like this:
! Oda: Are you implying that Apoo can give himself a blowjob? If so, then yes, but only if he wanted to.
Well if Oda never replies that, you can always take my own answer as canon :)

HEADCANON! iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
I don't think it left any kind of group of characters to be drawn as children.

The Skypiea priests and Enel come to mind. The Grand Fleet members as well.
The Yonkou haven't been drawn as children have they?

Charlotte and Kaido appeared just now, so later on.

Except Whitebeard and Blackbeard, no
I'd like Oda to explain how mink reproduction works, given that Pekoms' parents weren't lions.

The predictions are for the months leading up to the release, gnerally about what the title will be, the chapters included, and what will be on the cover.
Once the cover is actually out there's not much left to predict, and the discussion always becomes about the cover. And then when the actual book is out, it becomes a discussion about the SBS.
That's been the format of these threads for years and years now, rotating every 3 months like clockwork, not sure why you'd expect something else.
@Kaido:

Same way as fishmen and mermaids probably. Kids come out random.
@Mr.:
In terms of One Piece, East is actually kinda the "forward direction" in terms of the Grand Line in the intended journey from beginning to end. But in this case (departing Zou) we really have no idea which direction they are going anymore given that there's no clues on where Totland/Whole Cake is in relation to Zou (in its present location).
The Grand Line isn't wide enough for the odds to favor it being not left. Also that they only just entered so its not likely going backwards.
Occam's Razor suggests they're still headed forward on the GL.
Of course what the heck does this have to do with anything being discussed??
If we're talking about reading direction, naturally it leads to a subconscious reflect of expecting the "beginning" to be on the far left and the "end" to be on the far right although this is generally in terms of illustrating time and writing sequentially.
…...
Oda is Japanese....you do know this right?
I don't think it left any kind of group of characters to be drawn as children.
Baroque Works!
nd now Weevil was presented, I hope Oda draws him and Buggy as kids to complete the Shichibukai (or whatever other reason as long as he draws kid!Buggy).
@Galaxy:

I doubt anyone will ever ask for the priests. Pretty sure they are the most unpopular group in OP.
But now that I think about it… did we ever saw any children among the dwarves?
I don't think it left any kind of group of characters to be drawn as children.
Buggy!
Along with most characters from East Blue and the Alabasta arcs, and all the post-time skip arcs.

Either them or the villains on that train in Water 7. Hody's crew might be a good contender as well.
@Zar:
Hody's crew might be a good contender as well.
Not as much need to ask for them as kids, though, since we already kinda got that in the FI flashback.
I, for one, would LOVE to see Enel and his vassals as kids. Also yeah Baroque Works kids would be A+ (and I really would have loved to see kiddie Nero along the CP9 kids yet barely anyone considers him a member because he joined recently and wasn`t a rokushiki user yet)
Can I ask which character is out of place?
Can I ask which character is out of place?
I'd say the miner guy, who only appeared on one page for a gag.
!
I still love that he's there though.
Everytime I look at this cover, it keeps reminding me of how similar Luffy and Teach are.
And it also reminds me of how much Teach looks like a namahage
!
Can I ask which character is out of place?
The miner, Buggy and the goat.
Even Shanks if at least if the standard of "out of place" is Vivi in volume 82.

sorry, my bad…
it is very important to discuss about the cover reading direction
stupid of me to expect anything else

Ok you're being unreasonable.
The children part may come, but Oda should also genderswap the Yonko. Any major groups he hasn't genderswapped yet?
As an offshoot of this, I'd like to see him draw various groups of people as toys.
@Kaido:
As an offshoot of this, I'd like to see him draw various groups of people as toys.
It didn't follow any rule which character gets transformed into which toy in the manga, so I don't think that would be very interesting.
The question I want an answer to: Why did Bariete fall off Zou? That was never adressed in the manga and it didn't seem like Bariete himself had to say anything important about that fact. The only way I can see the answer pop up in the actual manga at this point would be the reason how the Beast Pirates found Zunisha in the first place, maybe the speculated person a Vivre Card points to (Pedro?). But if not, I hope to see it here.
Also more children, because that's just fun. The inhabitants of Zou would actually be very interesting.
Oh please no more genderswaps. 90% of the males turn into nami faces who act nothing like the original character and/or say something stereotypically girly and stupid. It´s not even funny
Best Obi I've never seen!!!
Best Obi I've never seen!!!
that shirt
that office
that GOLD advert
must get
That's actually really cool looking. And do I spy Brook earning a spot on the spine for the first time in far too long?
Anyone know when the SBS stuff will be out?

If 100 nami faces is the price we have to pay to get something like She-Apoo, I'm all for it.
I'm hoping for another set of young characters, maybe the Grand Fleet leaders. Hopefully some world-building info too.
Best Obi I've never seen!!!
Oh my god, I need that "marimo" shirt.
Thanks, Redon!
I've just got my Volume 82![hide]
[/hide]-Law's submarine is called "Polar Tang/Tongue"
Luffy (adventure, party)
Zoro (training, liquor),
Law (roaming, collecting anniversary coins)
Kidd (listening to music, collecting weapons)
Apoo (DJ, surfing)
Capone (watching paintings, board game)
Hawkins (interior designs, taking a bath)
Drake (reptiles enthusiast, Astrophysics)
Bonney (food, Jenga)
Killer (Drum, cooking)
Urouge (liquors, love affair, climbing mountains)
Blackbeard (gambling, history research!!)
About age
Rayleigh(78),Roger(77), Garp(78), Sengoku(79), Tsuru(76)
Perona is 25 years old now. Her height is 160cm. She considers Moriah as if he is her real parent since she was picked up by Moriah when she was a child. Perona still believes that Moriah is alive.
Happiness Punch is probably stronger than King Punch.
Recently Oda feels like Nami getting more popular. He doesn't care at all even if his audience watch his female characters with an sexual intention. It is because Oda believes professional people shouldn't complain no matter how his audience watch his characters since they bothered to pay money to the "merchandises". Oda's manga mentor also said the same thing.
Doflamingo's favorite food is lobster and least-favorite food is barbeque. He has a bad memory about barbeque.
The reindeer Chopper fell in love is Milky, who is very popular among Gurdians.
Oda loves middle-aged persons. There are some people who look down on them just because their strength is getting weaker. Oda has hated such young people who can't respect middle-aged persons. One of the fantasy Oda wants to draw is where middle-aged persons don't lose their strength much. He strongly believes such a world would be very cool.
Sabo grew his hair to hide his scar of his face.
Drawings of Straw Hat Grand Fleet in their childhood!!
[EDIT] By the way, the special book called "ONE PIECE Film Gold episode 0" contains the sketches of Vice Admiral Chaton (Brown Pig) and Momousagi (Pink Rabbit), who made an appearance long before in SBS.
Thank you for the pic, ID:3JELlhU on 2ch!
!
Hey, I was right about the Grand Fleet as kids!
Oda likes middle-aged people, huh. So that's why Jinbei and Garp became my favorites! Oda has good taste in people!
Kid Barto, Kid Sai and Kid Hajrudin hype!
Well, I guess a dinossaur would be interested to know when next time a giant meteor would collide to earth again.
Wow this was a good SBS! Lots of really good info!
Urouge continues to be the true fallen monk! Hahaha!
Black Beard enjoys researching history?! Fascinating!
Sabo's reason for growing his hair that way is exactly like a friend of mine. Nice real world answer I'm sure plenty of people can relate to.
Thanks Sandmen!
I'm not sure I understand the subject on Nami, can someone explain it to me?
The Worst Generation members' hobbies are pretty cool. Law collecting coins is a fun tidbit. I'm assuming Apoo needs some of his men nearby in case he falls in the water while surfing . Drake liking astrophysics means we'd probably get along splendidly on that front at least.
Shippers will probably be especially glad to know the name of Chopper's crush. Also nice to know how old some of those people are, like Rayleigh and Perona.
Thanks for the share, sandman!
I'm not sure I understand the subject on Nami, can someone explain it to me?
Sorry for my translation, RomanceDawn.
Probably Oda wants to say, "There are some female character goods that seem like inappropriate for children, but I feel happy if only my audience enjoy reading my manga. As a professional manga artist, I won't complain no matter how my audience watch my characters with sexual intention."[hide]
[/hide][EDIT] Underneath the back cover, we can see a drawing.
! Luffy says, "Take it easy!"
Chopper says. "So as not to be exhausted!"
Maybe Oda made this comments to encourage people who are suffering in Kumamoto where large earthquake hit recently. Kumamoto is Oda's hometown.
So Blackbeard enjoys researching history. Sounds like his plotline will be related to the lost century stuff… nah I must be crazy:ninja:
Thanks a bunch sandman! I think "sexual intention" is a bit of an understatement! I wonder if Drake's interest in astrophysics was what led him to abandoned the marines. Like while studying the poneglyph's he realised the nature of the stone is the same as the national treasure.
So Roger was 25 years old when he started his piracy life, heh. Expected as much.
Haha, poor Hawkins enjoying something he's weak to.
I always saw Killer at the Keyboard instead of the Drums.
Killer enjoys cooking… Interesting
Anyway, I look forward to seeing Kid Barto.
Blackbeard (gambling, history research!!)
Good grief, how was Sengoku able to keep his hair black until he was 77? Hair dye I suppose? Or did he only release his Fleet Admiral stress when he retired?
Also, the name of Law's submarine was too long coming.
Never expected BB to be a history buff. Of course, it will tie into whatever role he plays at the end very well, but I hope Oda doesn't just bring it back up out of otherwise nowhere when he reappears in the manga.
And I'm not surprised that Doflamingo hates barbecue…the sizzling of the meat probably reminds him of the time he sizzled.
Blackbeard confirmed to be directly related and interested in the over arching plot (history). Any naysayers in Blackbeard FV status should disappear (hopefully).
Urouge's hobbies including love affairs is quite possibly the best thing I've seen all week.
