I find this extremely amusing, because I've been wanting to introduce you to utterly incredible stuff that probably kicks the pants of the anime you're currently watching, but I have no way of talking to you.
Seriously, IRC. We should do that sometime. My channel on rizon is #Iga.
That goes for you too, Hiro. Do you have MSN/AIM?
Yeah, the most posts in this thread are only "OMG GINTAMA, SKET DANCE, TORIKO, YAY XDDD". It's like anime with typical shonen art style are the only ones that matter.
There is one post that say "Most of the other stuff looks dumb" in this thread without wanting to even try the other shows first.
It's sad, really. I know this is a forum about a popular shonen mainstream manga, and thus most people would only care about those kind of stuffs, but would it hurt to expand your taste? Like, seriously? Most light-novels based anime and the original ones are worth watching. And the ones in other demographics besides shonen such as seinen, josei, and shoujou are pretty good too. Battle and Gag/Comedy aren't the only genres there are.
I agree completely. So, what other Non-Shounen shows are you going to watch? As mentioned before in this thread I will watch Kaiji, Tea for Universe/Life, [C], Denpa Onna, The adaption from Go Nagai!, Moshidora, Nana to Kaoru (excellent manga btw), etc.
And Lotte's Toy
That shit is going to be so bad, I seriously want to know how fucked up it is to make fun of it. And if it's by any chance watchable, I…actually dunno what I will do with it.
And on anime in general. It's the same with people who proclaim they always search for "new and good concepts" when everything they search for is the newest Shounen of the week. Don't get me wrong, some of them are ok but I think they should rather read some Tezuka, Asano, Taniguchi and Nihei instead to actually get to know WHY modern manga is what it is now and what manga CAN be.
I just looked up what Lotte's Toy is about.
How can people air that shit on television?
Look at your avatar and signature. Shit like that flies everytime and it is the only logical conclusion to continue this trend and tend to more extreme versions to pander to even more costumers. It's called "analyzing consumer behaviour".
btw: Nice signature, Accelerator. Imagine Last Order making a contract with our little enthropy counter-measure in pet form.
