I notice that Nami still has the two hoops at her hip… What are they for?
Which Strawhats new look looks the best?
-
-
choppers stick was the coolest part of the chapter. :)
-
Mansopp and Franky.
-
I'm going with Nami
she's hot -
Robin. Now I wont be disappointed if Boa stays on AL.
Closely followed by Usopp, who looks awesome now. -
I voted Franky because he looks like a beast! Which is bad ass in my opinion. I can see that military cut will definitely suit him, especially when he cracks some of his usual jokes.
-
Usopp and his Muppet face XD
-
Usopp and his Muppet face XD
omg that is a muppet face lol i didnt see it like that on first thru third read
-
anyone else realize that in the new cover nami and luffy have the exact same pose as their first cover in the manga. its hilarious how much bigger nami's boobs are tho
Yeah and in the left side of the pic there is the same seagul with the neackles
-
My favorites are Robin and Sanji. I think they changed just enough. Nami is also lovely. Ussop is awesome. Frankie will take some getting used to. Luffy, Zoro, Brook and Chopper could have changed a bit more imo (not that I am complaining.)
-
Luffy's new scar and physical growth (I think? Hard to tell with Oda's art) are nice, nothing spectacular but I don't think anybody really expected him to change much. At least the colours of his clothes match this time.
Zoro has a new outfit, a scar and longer hair? Again, looks nice but not too different.
Sanji is just being Oda's butt monkey as always. I loved the eyebrow thing but he just looks plain weird now.
Usopp's a bad ass now, definitely one of the best.
Nami's fucking hot, that's all, she just has longer hair than before?
Robin's new look is awesome, I love the hair and the outfit and it's different enough from before.
Chopper and Brook can't even change aside from their outfits. Hope Chopper's got some new forms and Brook's shark guitar is great.
Franky I'm not sure about. His old design was one of the best ever so I'm going to have to wait until more chapters come out. Definitely not bad though.
All in all they're all great, some of them really awesome.
-
Who have voted on Chopper?
People felt sorry for him gettin 0 votes I guess.
Hmpf. -
It's too hard to choose so I won't vote.
-
Mansopp for sure
-
In don't understand all the Franky hate… Definitely my favorite. He looks like he can grab a pacifista by the face and crush its head. SUUUPPPPPEEERRRRRRR!!!!
-
I can't vote… But if I could, it would be Mansopp for sure
-
You know that Franky Boxing is going to be so much more epic now.
-
It isn't strong right Hammer any more it's Strong Right battering ram lol
-
Right now i'll vote for usopp. but i'll wait next chapter….i wanna see in the right way also zoro and franky..... the cover give some idea but i wanna see them in more pages...
-
I voted for Zoro because he only has one arm now.
RUNS AWAY FASTIn all seroiusness I'm liking them all, EVEN CHOPPER, from the color spread. i can't wait to see even more angles, Zoro's & Franky's official reveals next week (crosses fingers), and Chopper's different RB points.

Assuming chopper has more RB points that is

Robin definitely. She was extremely hot before, but now she is like a goddess. Intelligent, stylish and super sexy. Perfect look.
-
@Sea:
But why?
She's getting sluttier, its feeling dirtier to read her in this manga, and her short hair was far better
My pick would be Usopp, no doubt, not too exaggerated, subtle and to the point, but it conveys a far better message than every other character design change, except Nico Robin and Brook, obv
-
Zorro looks the best. Tough he has just one arm left, he'll surely kick ass.
kidding
I really like usopp's design, he looks much braver.
And Sanjis reversed haircut is awesome xDI cant say much about Franky, but I liked the old one, so it will be difficult to improve^^
The others have not changed as much as worth mentionable. -
Really? Nami wearing bell bottoms and a bikini top makes you think she's slutty? Not her flashing that she's done for years throughout the manga? If you don't like her new design, that's fine. But don't use lame reasoning like "it makes her sluttier". She's always been risqué.
-

Longer hair =/= sluttiness
Is it just because she's in a bikini?
-
Zoro looks like Ray-san,Robin like Hancock and Usopp looks like a viking.
-
I've seen someone comment that Robin's new look is Oda trolling. ''You all wanted female Crocodile? Robin now has Crocodile's hair.''

Your kidding me right?

I've got a feeling the thousand sunny will look the best. Frank went directly to the ship after arriving the Sabaody archipelago didn't he? Something tells me he made some major modifications before it was coated for the underwater voyage.
PS: Anyone else deeply disturbed that Zoro was the first one to arrive at Sabaody?

Mihawk or Perona must have literally held his hand and led him straight to Rayleigh
But maybe Zoro has finally acquired a sense of direction :ninja:

Or maybe he used the vivre card, and it's just a gag that Zoro made it there first.
-
I'm for Usopp, like many others are.
I liked that the changes, for the most part, were minimal to the crew.
I am going to hold off on my judgment of Franky until we see what new weapons he added to himself. The possibilities of what he could have installed just make it impossible to rule out that he could have quadrupled his badassness.
-
zoro barley changed he looks the same except new clothes and a scar on his eye idk how his the best, nami and robin looked terrible when the spoilers came out, but they look much better in the manga when I read it, sanji hasn't changed to much, chopper only has new clothes and hat, Franky looks terrible in my opinion, not so much that I hate the design I just think his old one was so much better, and I didn't want luffy to change to much so it was nice to see just a cool badass scar, so the best would have to be… usopp because he remade his character similar yet different enough to show the improvement and keep the character design awesome
where as I thought zoro, luffy, and sanji look cool but there wasn't really much done to their designs
and chopper and brook look the same just new clothes
-
Usopp looks awesome.
-
I'm reserving final judgment for now. I have a complaint for most of them, but I'm picky. The only two I can't really come to like are Brook and Usopp, while Robin, Nami, and Chopper all have tiny adjustments that I have absolutely no problem with (I like). Most of the things I don't like can easily change, however, and I almost expect some of them to end up changing.
-
Franky is easily the biggest change, and while it is the most shocking (to me), it also has the most potential to be totally awesome. I guess what bothers me right now is that Oda changed some of the fundamental aspects of their design. Franky's cola, Pop-eye arms, hair style, and personality all revolved around each other. Now the hair and arms, which might as well have been the visual depictions of his personality, are apparently gone. Overall though, I think he looks awesome. That is subject to change for the worst or for the better when we see a more complete image of him.
-
Usopp I am hugely disappointed in; not only do I hate his hat, but I was desperately hoping he would have dreadlocks like his dad, only pulled back like he normally wears his hair. A scar or two could have been nice as well. I'm not too keen on the new headphone things either, which I will assume for now is a new goggle gadget of some sort, and he's got this weird Santa suspender / lumberjack stripper thing going on, which I'm not really sure I like.
-
Brook is like Franky for me. His character revolves around his design, with the old English style top-hat, suit, and cane. I can understand the music genre changes helping with his growth, but I hope that post-concert he goes back to his suit and cane look. It might be a little bland, but it's what makes him, him. Given his speech adjustments, Urouge and I were thinking that his music genres might give him multiple personalities that affect different fighting styles or something, but I still hope his base character remains… Brook.
For the rest... I love Robin's new look. Nami's is simple, and might take a little getting used to, but overall I like it. She just needs to pull up her pants. I really like Chopper's new hat, and look forward to his Rumble Ball changes. Luffy looks great, and I love the sash, but the shirt is too girly. I think the shirt is supposed to have the classic pirate look, but... it just looks too flowy. Zoro's shirt looks decent, and the Rayleigh-esque adjustments are definitely welcome, so no real complaints there. Sanji barely changed at all, and while I thought the facial hair was weird at first, I think it looks fine now. A good improvement, even. The eye is... humorous, I suppose.

margurite made it.
-
Franky looks mean. He had better not lose his cool guy spirit along with his hair.
-
-
Dude, I totally thought it was one of Hancock's shirts as well.
I don't think that shirt is going to look good in any other color than white, so I say he'll switch back to the vest before long.
I'm hoping for a red vest over white shirt combo personally.

Im also fearing that what made Franky my second favourite SHs was his looks and atitude, Im fearing he is going to be acting like a Gorilla now with the design change, since yeah he acted kinda like how he looked.
Well have to wait for next week, maybe he does a SUPAAAAAAH for us with his new Gustman arms.

I hear people talkinga bout fake spoilers, with zoro missing an arm and shit? Can i have a link to all the fake stuff, i want to compaire

Not fake spoilers, just misunderstandings. Read the spoiler thread.

I love the way Usopp looks. I love the new hat. I don't mind the head-phones. I also approve of his "buff-ness". His trousers are funky. Other than that, he looks quite confident in himself, which is another thing I liked.
The way Robin looks is amazing. I love the dress she seems to be sporting now. The sunglasses are not much of a change, but they look good on her. Her new hairstyle is also very nice. It may be me though, but do her hips look wider than before? Maybe it's just the perspective.
Chopper stayed cute. I like his new hat, or the new addition to his old hat. It adds more cuteness. I'm curious to see how different he'll look during his transformations now.
Brooke has changed quite a bit. He's more out-going, which could be a good thing. I like his new clothes. Reminds me a bit of what Doflamingo wears. I don't quite like his sunglasses. They are effeminate. Sure this overall change of his is a 180 degree turn from what he used to be, but I'll wait and reserve judgement about how it will affect his character.
Franky looks awesome. Again, here I'll reserve judgment, since I'd like to see him in a full body shot next week, hopefully.
Sanji is roughly the same. His body hasn't changed much, besides his face, which was weird in my opinion. I had the idea that he may have come back taller. While we learned the attack recipe builds up the body, I haven't seen this build up at all with Sanji either. Not even in the slightest. Iwa showed us before the time-skip very manly looking men (the Okama) who supposedly eat this powerful food on a daily basis. I guess in my mind, this suggested that it actually provides more muscle to those who continue to eat this type of food (not continuous growth of course). While it's possible Sanji hasn't gotten around to eat this magical food that often, I'm guessing from now on he will. So maybe he will change, as well as the crew from now on.
Zoro is also the same it appears. I don't know if he's lost his right eye. I personally don't care if he has or not. I like the scar as well, but I would have liked it if he had more. In the past, he'd change his top once in a while, so this change, while it's nice, it's nothing all that special. I do like how he'll be showing the scar on his chest more often.
Nami is sporting low riding pants. I guess it's okay. She often changes her clothes, so I don't really know what to say here. I like her long hair as it suits her new "wild" side.
Luffy is also the same. I've mentioned this before, but I was a bit disappointed to see him not grow physically at all. He still has that young round head, which was the most disappointing part of the chapter. He's 19 now, so the question comes to mind, will he ever look like a grown up? I did not expect him to look like Dragon or Garp. Perhaps I was looking forward to Luffy having the "becoming an adult look" that Ace had. I don't know if that sounds weird. So I'm chalking this disappointment up to some side-effect from the gomu-gomu fruit. I wasn't looking for thicker arms or anything of the sort. I guess a little height growth and what I mentioned before, to lose the round face he's always had in the past would have been nice to see. His longer sleeved shirt is something that's growing on me. I didn't like it at first. His chest scar looks awesome as well. Still, I find Luffy's physical appearance to be the most disappointing of all of them.
All in all, mostly everyone is emitting this "wildness" characteristic in their own way, which is quite interesting.
-
Keep in mind, we haven't exactly had a good view of Franky yet. Even though he's obviously gone through the most changes, we don't know the details.
Also, aside from things like Luffy's hat or Zoro's sash and bandana… outfits aren't really "permanent" aspects of the characters' appearance. Certain folks like Nami have always switched up their wardrobes fairly frequently, and even Luffy was getting "palette swaps" for his typical vest-and-shorts combo in the later arcs of Part 1.
Come to think of it (I can't be the first, though), it's possible the wider-ended sleeves may work better for Luffy when he stretches his arms.
I hear people talkinga bout fake spoilers, with zoro missing an arm and shit? Can i have a link to all the fake stuff, i want to compaire
The low-quality, blurry early version of the colorspread, the only portion of the chapter in which Zoro appears, led some people to believe that he had lost his left arm and was lacking one of his swords. But the full-size, high-quality colorspread put this scare to rest. What looked like a hole at the end of an empty sleeve turned out to just be a particularly dark fold, and there is indeed an arm in the sleeve as it's holding his now-visible third sword.

I vote Chopper for most drastic change. Just you wait.

I'm actually hoping for this. No joke.
Well not bishonen, but a regular human.

Robin because she looks just like my girlfriend.
