I like how Oda is going out of his way to make Chopper adorable. He's going to be such a beast.

Notice how Nami part 2's hips have grown excessively large while Oda has drawn her waist in a very unnatural manner. The way it just in seemingly with a chunk of her side missing was only done for Miss Double Finger in the past. Even within the context of Oda's art style, this appears unnatural and visually unappealing. Her waist is too skinny by Oda's own standards to look believable. Character design is important in a manga in which visual presentation is half the total package.
She was always skinny…I'm ok with that being Oda's style. It's not about her being excessively skinny as much as it is about her looking unnatural.

Yeah I'm gonna have to go with 20 year-old bikini-wax Nami. Nami was 'perky' before but now she's a fucking vixen. Plus her being 20 wouldn't make me feel bad about buying her PoP and putting it somewhere visible.
Haru and I also discussed the possibility that Robin has indulged in hair treatment for that look.

Maybe I'm remembering the spolier thread wrong, but it seems to me like many people didn't notice what the Chp 598 spread was based on until people put the two images side by side. More people than I expected, anyway.
But as I said in the spoiler thread, it is nice to actually look at the two pictures side by side.
To me, the only things I think really worth mentioning regarding the comparison of the two pictures is that Brook is where the skull used to be, and Usopp isn't where Yasopp used to be. (But Usopp is close by, and he's in the foreground, meaning we can see him better, so… I don't care much.)
And that the inside of people's mouths is black now, instead of red... :ninja:

Since it's related to Franky's new design I'll post it here. I had a dream where we had pre timeskip franky said "Transformation: Strong body!!!". Then he transformed into the post timeskip franky. No I'm not saying he will do this but it was a weird dream.

I found the crowd at Brook's concert to be funny with the banners, the "brook" signs and the souvenier fans with Brook's head on them among other details.
It's just very impressive that so much detail went into it. -

I don't know if it was already mentioned but I finally got the fox joke (yes, I must be slow ^^). You know how fox and reindeer sound similar in Japanese and how everyone says that Chopper is a fox and he gets angry and says "I'm a reindeer!" Now the joke has become visual with the fake Robbin having a fox instead of a reindeer. Oda is a genius!
Also, Shakky must have used COO to detect when the strawhats arrived on the island. Otherwise Chopper probably wouldn't be wondering around following the fakehats. So Robbin either just arrived or she's out of Shakky's range.

Considering that Marineford is now the old Marine HQ, what's the possibility of the New Marine HQ being a massive Battle Ship? In 2 years time, it's entirely likely that Vegapunk has been able to replicate Pluton or Poseidon, making it into a giant floating fortress. Yes, yes, this is getting Star Wars-esque, but I still think it's a plausible idea. What better way to stop people like Teach, Kaidou, and BigMom in their tracks than a giant, mobile base with hundreds of thousands of guns?
I called it wrong, so long ago. I guess this needs to be changed.

It's been said, that the Marine base G1 is now the location of Marine HQ, not a battleship. As in, it's like the other Marine Bases we've seen, on an island, except now they simply moved the main Headquarters for all Marines to that island, and Marineford is where G1 is now.

2- Smoker may be a Admiral now, because he is a logia too - and they are only 4 I believe in the marines (did I forget any) ? As an Admiral he will still be able to run after Luffy. Coby should be Captain by now if he wants to keep in touch with Luffy. Vice Admiral I don't believe because there are only experimented marines on this rank as we saw.
3- Maybe Franky is using some kind of beam now, as he studied Vegapunk researches for two years !?
4- I don't want Zoro to have lost one eye or one arm :-(

For me his new design pinpoints memories of "crime school time". I'm positive Franky was shaved in that special. And when it comes to Oda, I just cannot think of it as a simple coincidense. -

Smoker being an admiral would be retarded logia or no logia. He's supposed to be Luffy's rival though a bit stronger. If he could have gotten to an Admiral level in two years then Luffy might as well have been able to get to a Yonkou level. That would have made Luffy's entire two year training regime look like a joke.The most I see Smoker as is a Vice-admiral and that's pushing it a bit.

Oda said that eye-patch will be bestowed upon a very special character in future. Near the end if I'm not mistaken. And what is a pirate without eye and eye-patch over it? Not there, that's for sure.
