I'm guessing since Sanji's facial expression at the end of the chapter looks similar to Caramel's face (based on that picture of Caramel), Big Mom's going to notice as he gets closer. I don't know who Caramel really is, but she has a bit of hair over one of her eyes and a cigarette, so I do wonder where exactly things are going with Caramel.

How'd Kaya's parents die? Kuro said that it wasn't his doing…

Yeah it was done by an artist, Toshio Asakuma, and Oda did a color spread of it for Ch. 651

I do wonder if crew colors are meant to be the same post-time skip. Does Sanji even wear blue anymore? I guess you could make the same complaint about pre-TS Usopp being yellow.

Whatever Dressrosa chapter it was where it had a color spread that shows the Straw Hats with their younger selves, the younger selves have shirts that are those crew colors (Well, Brook has black and white for colors, and in that color spread the younger Brook's shirt is black but I think the number on every young Straw Hat's shirt is white.)

Places like the current anime opening and this website care about the Straw Hat colors if anyone's interested, although the manga is a better example since it's the manga.

Color schemes of characters are one thing I take into consideration when considering a potential crewmate (because surely by now Oda's given one to every character who will join the crew), bur color is one small factor for me compared to other things. And I expect Jinbe to join yet I don't know his color for sure.

Completely flesh out? I think so. While we could be 60 or 70% through the story who knows how much time it would actually take to finish up the rest. I don't think that'll be too much of an issue when everything is said and done. There is always going to be the people who just feel "Chopper, Franky, Brook and Robin never got to experience Arlong Park! They don't count as much as the first 5!" Nothing you can really do about those people.

I do feel that not getting to experience the split up at Sabaody is more of an issue though. That situation wasn't resolved until a two-year timeskip. Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, and Brook were split up from Luffy, and Jinbe hung out with Luffy during part of the time that he (Luffy) and the crew members were split up (which isn't the same as being a split up Straw Hat, but I think it works well enough). IMO, it'd be odd if the remaining member (I assume that besides Jinbe there's just one more person) had very little/nothing to do with the split.

Still, if the remaining member ultimately feels like another crew member rather than the one that sticks out too much by simply being new, then I suppose there's nothing to be concerned about. I don't know what Oda has in mind for the not-joined-yet Straw Hat crew, so I really should just wait and see.

I've read certain solutions by Internet users elsewhere on how to possibly solve this glitch one's own, but I haven't tried anything myself. I think the glitch happens after you turn on your game and try to continue playing it from your saved spot of Lumiose City, outside while in the actual city.

I don't even have Badge 1 so… I'm..... gonna go... (but from what I saw, no one's posted this).

So I got the movie but I eventually got really behind collecting voyages (including a Season One voyage I never got). So many of voyages have came out by now that by this point I'm gonna focus on getting collecting the series through… collections. Season Four onward I only plan to get certain DVD sets to see certain episodes dubbed (including the "I want to live" DVD set), although I do plan to watch all the episodes on those Season Four-and-onward DVD sets that I buy. I plan to get Strong World on DVD too.

(At least I got to 48 in One Piece Viz volumes…)

Mainly because of this- I want Funimation to dub all the movies, especially the first seven. Film Z is likely the next movie they'll get to after Strong World due to the hype Z's gotten, and if there's another film as big as Z and Strong World, that'll probably be the one most fans want to have dubbed after Z, which means that Funi would probably try getting that film and push off dubbing the earlier movies even more than they already have.

They're already obviously hoping to dub hundreds of already made episodes of One Piece over the coming years, so I'm sure that episodes and the newest, most hyped up movies would take priority. I'd like to believe Funi would be somewhat closer to dubbing at least some of the earlier movies if the upcoming movie is normal.

Alternate ideas:

A hyped up movie that is specifically a One Piece x Dragon Ball [Z?] crossover. A fun movie at that.

A movie influenced by Mamoru Hosoda like movie 6. Doesn't have to be super dark, but it could still be a really exciting film. At least if this film doesn't happen, Movie 6 will still be special and unique.

A remake of the Skypiea arc. I'm not eager for a remake but if there was one I'd prefer that arc. The whole island-in-the-sky thing, the stormy skies in the cilmax of the arc, and Eneru's larger form from right before Luffy beats him really make the story special and movie-worthy, I think. On the other hand, the changes made to make the movie stand alone might be too much to even bother taking that route. I'm all for them making changes to make it stand alone, but if it's too much of a pain to do…

For Volume 71, I'm hoping the chapters'll be 700~711, due to 711's cliffhanger. I'll predict that.

I can imagine Luffy in his "Lucy"-wear in the middle of the cover. Who else on the cover? I'll say Fujitora, the toy soldier, Bartolomeo, and Cavendish. The Kyros statue being in the background. Dunno what specifically is the background, if not Corrida Coliseum-related.

I'd say Bellamy being on the cover's too big of a shock for readers reading the manga by volume.

What if goodness and badness in One Piece are each represented by a physical substance in one's heart and Caesar unintentionally stabbed the badness out of Monet's heart and she turned good and joined the crew? :ninja:

No I'm not serious, but no, I'm not trying to make fun of the people who want/wanted Monet for a crewmate with that joke. Actually, I was hoping Monet would join, but as more and more chapters came…. well, yeah. Even if she did decide to change her bad ways, she'd probably wanna try helping get the kids home and be too busy with that, anyway.

I originally thought her swirly glasses might hint at a more goofy side of her that would help her fit with the crew more. Volume 67's cover showed she had light green hair and (for this arc) a light green shirt, so I thought maybe her color (since all the Straw Hats have one) would be light green. Of course the reasons for Monet not joining outweigh the stuff I just said.

(This has been probably the first I've posted here about Monet, so… yeah.)

Jinbe...

Not that plot points actually in the story used to support Jinbe joining aren't important, but... shortly before the chapter where Luffy asked Jinbe into the crew, Volume 64's cover was revealed, showing the fighting Straw Hats. Jinbe's with them, near the back and on one side, as if he were just another character in the group of fighters. (He isn't the big star of attention in the cover, nor far away from the current crew.) This screams "entertain/be comfortable with the idea of Jinbe being a Straw Hat like the rest of them" to me. I don't think I have to wonder why.

As for Rebecca…

While I don't think we need another female crew member. I do think it'd be nice to have one more, and I hope there's one. Having two already is good enough though, I think. Anyway, on the one hand, in the chapter with Rebecca's debut, Rebecca stood out as an important ally of Luffy's for the Dressrosa arc. On the other hand… her personality's... nothing really bold so far, based on her debut chapter. I'm partially giving her a break since it was her debut chapter and she hasn't really done much since, but at the same time... she spoke a lot in her debut chapter. If she's supposed to have a unique enough personality to join the crew, shouldn't it have been at least partially shown by now?

I hope she becomes a crew member (so we can get the "third woman" thing over with), but with any character, they'd first need to prove themselves to be a character worth being in the crew. (I don't mean just strength.) And Oda'll make it happen with whoever he wants to join the crew. The more information we learn about whatever character, the less of a problem it should be to find reason for them to join. If it is too much of a problem, I think it's safe to say that the character isn't meant to join.

(EDIT: I'll take back what I said… "I hope a worthwhile female becomes a new crew member.")

Also, I think if Rebecca wins Block D without some kind of fluke happening (and, well, also she needs a unique enough fighting style), I think she'll have a somewhat higher chance of joining the crew. She'd have to do more than that, though.

Or have a different person be the third female member, and have her be like this…

If there's a new female nakama, I want her as a fighter, a loose canon like Luffy. Not necessarily smart (Nami and Robin are already smart), but still uses her head, kinda like Sanji or Franky.

I thought this episode was good for people having this as their second episode. Less was going on to keep track of in today's episode than in last week's episode. Things like sea monkey waves and Doflamingo, along with an island of long animals, can be entertaining, but they could make things confusing to newcomers. (Still glad Toonami started with 207 though.) With this episode, the storyline is built up significantly more (more stuff with Tonjit, and Foxy's official debut) so… yeah...

(Also, the stuff about Davy Jones made me really interested in seeing such stuff return in the manga, whenever it comes back. Although that's partially because then there wouldn't be such a bunch of arguments about whether or not the Dave Back Fight is non-canon for not having storylines that are more serious.
