Okay, I haven't seen the movie, but I've spoiled myself on it (it's what I do) to feel it necessary to mention this.
[hide]Everyone I know is having a fucking stroke because there is a scene in the movie where Peter throws Gwen out the window and catches her with a line of web. The outfit she's wearing and the way she reacts to the web catching her is very, VERY, VERY reminiscent of Gwen Stacey's death in the comics. And people are believing that this was an accident, they fucked up by making this scene in the movie that UNINTENTIONALLY connects to her original death, and because of this, this movie sucks because they tried to save Gwen the same way she died.
….......PEOPLE ARE FUCKING STUPID!
They obviously knew about Gwen's death. They obviously made the scene as reference to her death, so us comic fans will jump off our seat when it happens.
Yes. It is possible for someone to survive something like that. In the movie, Gwen is about a foot away from the window when the string of web catches her. In the comics, she's about halfway down from where she fell and about to hit the water. So yeah, it's far more likely that Gwen would die the comics (which she did) than where she would die in the movie (which she didn't).
I don't understand how the entire scene in Spider-Man 2 of Spider-Man having his mask off in a subway train full of people happens, and people are like, "Oh, we can forgive that. That's okay." But this happens? And it's like, "WORST MOVIE EVER! OH MY GOD!"[/hide]
Rant over. I really want to see this movie, but since I have to help my mother with her job and help plan an upcoming baby shower, it's going to be a fight to be able to see this movie.

Person: "Why don't you want to see the new Spider-Man?"
Friend: "Too Teen Drama for me."
THAT WAS THE ENTIRE BASIS TO SPIDER-MAN'S CREATION! HE WAS A TEEN SUPERHERO WHO WENT THROUGH TEENAGER DRAMA AND SUPERHERO DRAMA! YOU ARE SO~
I need to go break something. My inner Spider-Man nerd is being revived, and it died long, LONG ago!
