@Cyan:
oh god not this again
I didn't really feel like reading through the thread. And I'm probably right. People just want Sabo to be alive so they cling to anything.

Don't know if it's been said but the part with the revolutionaries talking about bad injuries isn't talking about Sabo, it's more than likely refering to the injuries of the people of trash mountain. Remember that they were all saved from the fire by Dragon and are on the ship.
Read like… the first 10 pages XD
Well it's not like I wanted to read the thread. And I'm probably right. People just want Sabo to be alive so they cling to anything.
The implications that are presented from Dragon bringing someone back from Goa who's incredibly injured and needs first aid points that he saved Sabo.
LOL I read the second page and it was right there. Thanks Quexinos. I don't usually read these threads much since I've got other important yet not important things to do.
I didn't really feel like reading through the thread. And I'm probably right. People just want Sabo to be alive so they cling to anything.
No, you're not.
Hell, I'm not even gonna re-quote myself on this.
The people they saved from Gray Terminal have been on that ship for TWO DAYS by the time this event happened.
How in the hell are they suddenly going to be surprised OH GOD THAT'S A TERRIBLE INJURY WE MUST TEND TO IT NOW!! After living with them for two days?
Days after the incident at the Gray Terminal being burned down, the Revolutionary ship is parked at Zoro's homeland. Carrying the trash mount residents.
Dragon is away.Dragon comes back to the ship the night Sabo was shot. Ivankov and the crew are surprised at something, then yells That's horrible! Tend to it immediately!
LOGIC, dude, LOGIC!
Jesus.

oh the delicous taste of irony, how I've missed you.
Really how can someone think that it isn't Sabo but some unimportant side character who is saved by Dragon!?
BTW I really want to know how Draon was able to save him… I smell a flashback on this when we meet Sabo.
the flashback is finish , so what we have next
1- fishman island
2- crew reunion
3- Elbf
4- new world
5- Sabo reunion
6- Dragon saga

Elbaph seems like something that'll happen later than Dragon.

1. Crew reunion… You know the Vivre cards are pointing to Rayleigh who is staying at SA?
The rest could go that way. But how you are bringing Elbaf before NW. Isn't Elbaf in the NW?
Yeah, Dragon meeting must be coming relatively soon
And the crew reunion will be before Fishman island for sure
Edit: :ninja:'d

Sorry. I wasn't going by your translation, I was going by MS's translation which confused me a little. Plus I was probably being a little lazy. Still, it's over, let's move on.

Wow…this chapter was heart-breaking T_T
Can't wait for next week. We should be getting Luffy grief time.
@robbybedfart:
I'm pretty sure I mentioned this before the flashback started, but considering Hancock was cooking Luffy a massive feast the last time we saw her… that she goes to him with this giant feast for him and is excited to see him up again... and Luffy then depressed and says"I'm not hungry".
That would just be heartbreaking. Luffy, not hungry?
Of course, since I've guessed a specific scene out of thin air with no past context at all, as opposed to a vague plot point, it really is a completely random guess and won't happen that way at all. but I think it would be an amazing moment, full of potential to get an interesting reaction out of Hancock. And of course, the heartbreak of Luffy (after two weeks of recouping!) not being hungry for the first time ever.
Should see next week, I suppose.
Apart from Hancock, I'm curious about the kind of reaction and effect we're going to get from Margaret, Aphelandra and Sweet pea. Oda held back from showing them so you know they're gonna have some interesting albeit probably small role.
No, you're not.
Hell, I'm not even gonna re-quote myself on this.
I can't believe that this shit is still going on…
It's clear from the context that the person with injuries showed up with DRAGON. Seriously. How did so many people miss this? It was clear in the Japanese and the English.
I feel for you Aohige_AP! Keep fighting the good fight!
This scene isn't rocket science people! I could understand if there was a big translation error or something but there isn't anything translated wrong in this case. Hell it's not even that ambiguous! I feel like this problem is just going to keep showing up on every other page.
I predict Oda doesn't return to Luffy next chap but switches to that what's going around in the rest of the world thing he likes to do at the end of arcs if not that the other SHs but I think it'll be the movements of the big names in the marines, WG, and NW pirates.
@KiShiDo:
Not that way…
I mean Ace was pretty important for WB in terms of character (wanted to make him PK) but on the same time he wasn't the most IMPORTANT or STRONGEST commander. (Marco probably was the 2nd in command)
So I can see it with Sabo the same way. He has an important role but isn't the right hand of Dragon
I wouldn't be surprised if Sabo was his right hand man at this point. Kuma's "dead" and Iva was imprisoned. Sure there may be some surprise badass revolutionaries to fill the gap but Sabo being 2nd in command or being groomed to be the eventual leader is probable.
Unless Sabo's a rebel within a revolutionary group. Sorta down for the cause but still wants to go off and be a pirate so he frequently ignores orders and does his own thing.
Rebel without a hat.
While i'm willing to believe that Sabo was saved, what confuses me is why he didn't try to save Ace. I find it extremely hard to believe he was either:
1. unaware
2. pursusaded not to try

I'm really interested in this. We got to see a little before the flashback that the world was going to hell in a hand-basket. I really want to see the rest of the fallout from the war. I thought for a second that we might see Shanks' burial of Whitebeard and Ace, but then I remembered that two weeks have gone by since everything went down. I'd still like to see it though, if even in a flashback.

Didn't care

Where was Garp all the time to save Luffy or Dragon? Why didn't Ace fought Croc instead of Luffy who was a rookie at the time.
Be sure there will be a good explanation for it. The only thing I want to know…
Did Sabo ever mention Ace or Luffy to Dragon... Iva didn't know about Luffy and Ace so he is out of it... But Dragon...

My thoughts exactly. Mangastream's translation isn't the problem, they did fine. The problem lies in lack of reading comprehension and reasoning.
I can't wait till Greg shows up, because I know he's gonna have the same facepalming reaction as me.
Then I could just leave it up to him to shoot down logical fallacies.

If it took him a while before talking about it, like Ace with Whitebeard about his father, Ivankov may simply not have been around.
You know, imprisoned in Impel Down and whatnot.
@AdmiralYonkouMt.Bandit:

Pif I can't believe that's regarded as a possiblity.
I'm looking forward to after Luffy and Sabo meet we something similar to what happened with young Ace & Luffy when they imagined Sabo talking to them.

Rebel without a hat.
Until he gets Ace's hat.
Probably knee deep in a revolution.
Hopefully not amnesia.

To be honest, I needed this. It took your post to really make me get that scene. I read the chapter but that scene didn't really sink in the fact that Dragon had left and returned with somebody else until I read this. I suppose that's the last time I read a chapter and listen to a podcast at the same time.

Yeah could be… Can't wait for his appearance and the explanation of not being at the war.
Damn it will be that awesome. If Sabo wouldn't be that bad-ass I would say. Sabo for next nakama... But Zoro should always be the closest to Luffy

He might had found out too late. Supernovas were on a near island and they get there late… You see, if he was in one of the four blues it would be really difficult to get there in time. There might've been also something important happening at the time with the revolutionaries (freeing a country... fighting a war... whatever).
I refuse for 16 chars
I guess you don't see how Sabo being too far away is foreshadowing to the arc where Enel returns because Sabo was overthrowing Enel's kingdom on the moon.
@Darkstorm:

If he had that hat at the war he wouldn't have a hole in his chest.

the hat is a magic trap

Given the symbolism of hats, you may not really be far off with this, lol. (To be clear, since we are having such troubles lately with comprehension–not You Zik, just in general, what I am saying is that losing the hat for real, as in not having it returned and on his head in prison, seems, in retrospect, to be foreshadowing his death.)

The amnesia theory is still quite possible… I guess having amnesia could also mean that Sabo as Ace and Luffy knew him no longer exists ......
Important question guys. Has there ever been before, in the entire series, a single panel page like the end of this chapter? For the record, double spreads don't count. Just a single page depicting one moment with all the background and everything.
i.e. like this
Did you see sabo saving ace in the flashback? No… Only luffy tried... Sabo and Ace knew they are strong.
And yeah sabo is probably occupied plotting against the WG.

Even better not only did Sabo hit his head and get amnesia but it also changed his personality and he's more on the dark side like the original Son Goku.

I don't think I have a lack of reading comprehension. I simply wasn't paying attention. I can be a little slow sometimes but no need to insult me.

So you think Sabo would never try to help/rescue Ace? He even sacrificed his freedom to save both of them
Show me where Luffy is saving Ace and Sabo is there as well. During the fire Sabo wasn't there so how can you say he didn't try to save Ace
perfect time to train some haki now…
iam sure of the fact that jinbei will noe ask him about his king`s haki he showed and that they will train to control it.

Sabo wrote to luffy and ace and knew they will survive the fire. Sabo just knows that they always face great danger and somehow manage to survive. That's just it.
And i do believe that Sabo was mainly occupied by other stuff. Not that he completely forgot Ace but you know…

Limiting 2 page spreads is a bit unfair, theres a TON of those. But off the top of my head, for a 1 page spread, there's this.

I'm sure theres a couple others.
Also kishido don't forget that Sabo knew about WB trying to save Ace.
