It serves a purpose, even if you choose to overlook it. That said, let's get back on topic and discuss chapter 588 or let the thread rest in peace.

Brennen, anyone who complains must have problems reading since it clearly says it was in the spoiler news thread not a Chapter spoiler thread.

Nothing in my post suggested that I was talking directly to anyone in this thread. All I mentioned is that I scrolled down and saw that there was a new activity in the spoiler thread, suggesting new spoilers. Little did I know it was just SOME JOKES GUYS JUST JOKES US AND OUR FUCKING JOKES. Any jackass who knows the date would have known to expect spoilers a bit later in the week. Frankly, I don't have my panties in a bunch over a sneak peek for MANGA of all things, but it seems better to leave the section that gets people's hopes up alone as opposed to bumping it in order to say something that anyone with even the slightest ability to use basic logic could deduce. Ah, but it seems I'm mistaken, for evidently the One Piece fanbase is too busy drowning in their own stupidity to actually use a shred of common sense.

We've had the spoiler new/updates thread for how fucking long now? Besides the news and updates thread was a forum request so it being updated was what the general populace wanted. Is it a bit moronic that it had to be updated for news that was non news? Yes. But sadly it was called for given how many people kept asking whether or not there was a chapter due to lack of common sense.

He may be alive and may not be. Any option is acceptable for Oda to choose, regarded that if he is alive he give some explanations, and hopefully that he plays some important role in the story instead of just serving as healer-of-mourn and consolation-prize for Luffy.

You're assuming the opposite of what is accepted (by Luffy) is true based off the fact that it is accepted (by Luffy). When I repeated it to myself aloud it came off as some form of circular logic but you're right it isn't. The main reason for what you think is due to thinking the opposite of what one person (Luffy) thinks. Sounds like in this instance the way you think is "If Luffy thinks one thing then the opposite of that should be the main reason for why I think it is true."
Now you didn't try to prove your claim or say it's fact/true by that statement alone so no it doesn't fit the description in it's entirety. So I'll rescind that and stick to deeply flawed reasoning.
