i've tried weed, ecstasy, shrooms, lsd, opium, mescaline and cocaine. I think there is nothing wrong with trying certain drugs( not the hard crap like heroin) but you need to do the research on the effects and be fully prepared for what might happen. Like duder said, it's a double edged sword so be very careful. I thought coke and ecstasy were stupid and never did it again past my first. Though i have had some good times with lsd and the such, I've sworn off any drug that makes me trip again, the last one i had was a bad one. I ate an 8th of shrooms by myself. Little did i know that they were super potent. After i took them, i thought they weren't working. I laid down to go to bed and then BAM! hit me like a ton of bricks. I was freaking a little and went downstairs to talk to my brother to see if he would help me by making sure i didn't do anything stupid or lethal to others or myself. He pretty much told me to leave him alone so he could sleep. On my own i was lost in a ocean of rapid thoughts. I thought of killing myself to end it or calling the cops but i strayed from those thoughts. I was constantly hot then cold and i knew if i didn't do something i was going to be in trouble. I decided to walk outside. For 5 hours i walked around my area. I was touching the ground and trees, staring at flowers and the moon, it was intense and saved my life i'm sure. Afterward i finally came down and was able to go to sleep. i promised myself to never do such a stupid thing again.
Weed one the other hand, i'm a professor and a surgeon. My many years hanging out with the sweet leaf has been mostly good. If you are smart about it, can control yourself and don't let it affect your life in a negative manner, it's not a big deal. I've studied the plant and its history(which is very interesting) and even heard from a scientist/spiritual teacher that Jesus and Ghandi did it a few times. Whether it's true or not you'd be surprised who has tried it. Don't think that i'm saying it's all good, in fact there are many down sides if you do your research. Read up on both sides and decide for yourself.
