      Oh, I guess that's true. But there's no active thread right now, so I don't see a problem.

      If it fails miserably, it will just rot like the previous two threads. But you know what they say, third time's the charm.

      So, any guesses?

      edit: By the way, I just read your signature and giggled a little on the inside.

    • The Riddle Thread

      Well, I've seen this on other forums, so why not here? The idea is simple, someone posts a riddle (I'll start), another person posts the correct answer to the riddle and finally, that person posts another riddle for us to answer.

      If no one can answer the riddle, the original poster can either reveal the answer and post another riddle or give his turn to someone else.

      –-

      Here's a dumb one, but I personally found the answer amusing.

      Two men are in court, accused of murder. After collecting enough evidence, the judge says to one of them "Even though we're completely certain that it was indeed you, who comitted the murder, I'm afraid we have no choice but to set you free". Why did the judge say that?

      @piratemarimo:

      Unfortunately I'm taking AP micro AND macro. Let's see… we finished a unit on stuff like Classical vs. Keynesian, aggregate demand, multiplier effects, etc. Then in micro we're talking about monopolies and oligopolies. I think if I could just apply myself, I might be able to get a better grade, but every time either econ teacher starts lecturing, I just automatically start doodling weird crap on my paper.

      And in other news, I'm still sick. :P

      Ha ha, we just passed perfect and imperfect competition. I can't believe how terribly boring all of this is and also can't help but think I'm too young to study this sort of crap. And it's not as if it's that hard either, it's just too damn boring.

      And in other news, get well soon. lol

      @piratemarimo:

      Anyways, I think I did poorly on my econ test today (what else is new) but I can't say if I did marginally worse than usual. Certainly not worse than my last econ test (for a different course), which dropped my grade from a C to a D. I have to finish reading Frankenstein and do a boatload of assignments for it so I can at least get partial credit. I also know I have to write a short parody of Frankenstein. I'm so tempted to make it a OP parody involving Franky because on our FIG packet, our teacher wrote "Franky" and then I had this mental image of Franky doing super things as the creature, but I'm not sure if that counts. I also have to come with an idea for a position paper by this Friday, not to mention "research" on what kind of economical standpoint we believe in. AP needs a finance thread if you ask me. :P

      If 'econ' means Economics, what exactly are you studying right now? Just curious, since we're also studying boring crap like that (microeconomics). :sad:

      If you visit Bulgaria, you'll find the lowest of the low - chalga (or pop folk).

      What if someone is quoted repeatedly (a quote tree) and the response isn't directed at him anymore?

      @THE:

      I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided.
      You can't use "that" in this case.

      -Snocone's trolling was a trolling that out-trolled every trolling else.
      You don't use "which".
      -Snocone's action, which was trollish at time, was perceived as heroic by some.
      "That" is not used with comma.
      -Snocone, who later became a part of my army, was once jailed in vain a long with his peers for their trollish action upon the nest of stupity that was Narutofan.

      Using comma too much may make the sentence seem formal for a forum conversation.

      I guess you're right, but was Havoc's sentence wrong? It sounded OK to me.
