I do not understand why so many of my posts were deleted when there was proving why I think what I write in them.
I put a lot of offort into them :/ Its not like they were insults or anything like that in many of those just some logical argumentation for what I stated and they got into trash same as Blowfish ones. It really is unfair to treat person like that just because I tried to calm somebody either with argumentation or with just words simply. This is nor for hail nor for awesome. They should be moved somewhere or something not just deleted without looking into them.
Beside 3 or 4 out of all they were analytical and I really tried to explain things. I write on other forums for years now and just started here so how is called that way of modding here? Lazy mod mode? TheGreatSwordsman disscused same thing and TheGreatestSwordsmans posts were not deleted… -

It wasn't a versus discussion. Most of the posts weren't really spam either.

The posts had nothing related to this thread.
Thus, they are spam.

However you were writing eloquent detailed prose on a stupid ass subject lol. -
Crap! I've missed the spam discussion.
Anyway, the thing I'm really anxious about is of course the downfall of the Yonkou (be it Big Mam, or Kaidou first). It's safe to assume that it'll take more than 2 SN to fight an emperor, so the question that remains is "How the power will shift after that?".
A Yonkou gone means his/her territory & title is free and everyone is up for grabs. Will the Marines interfere, another Yonkou, or will one of the 'Alliance' take up the position? (in which I meant Law/Kidd/Hawkins/Apoo)

Does anyone else notice this arms race trend going on between countries, pirates and marines in the New World recently?
The marines gaining an "unprecedented power", Blackbeard hunting for Devil Fruits, Kaidou building a Zoan army using Smiles, two peacefull countries trying to buy CC's Shinokuni and now several countries trying to put their hands on the Mera Mera fruit to empower their armie etc.
Hell, Oda went out of his way to actually out right explain it through Dagama's mouth.

Hmm now that we've heard of the Country of Flowers which is apparently the OP world's equivalent of China, I wouldn't be surprised if the two peaceful nations that were trying to buy Shinokuni were Wano Country (OP Japan), and Country of Flowers (OP China), because they're at war with each other or something. The only thing that contradicts this is that Wano seems to be not with the times as Kinemon didn't even know what a DF is, so it's kind of unlikely that Wano's military would be after a weapon like Shinokuni.

the point is, your posts along with the others that spanned those FIVE PAGES had barely ANYTHING to do with this thread, and thus is shitty spam.
Just stop and leave the subject alone for Christ's sake.

Ok so where I should post my "shitty spam"? It would be really nice if you would point that place for those kind of posts since I am pretty new here compared to plenty of other people. Acting nicer doesnt hurt, avoiding criticizing new member to feel better yourself doesnt hurt as well.

If you're genuinely new - then welcome to the trail by fire. Here you're posting manarisms and attitude will be challanged but usually with good cause - either the person ends up on so many ignore lists they never get acknowledged and have to start a new account - or they survive and end up with some form of acknowledgement from the regular posters.
If you enjoy sticking to your guns go for it - just remember no one is obliged to read or respond to your posts - so if you want conversation make the posts conversation worthy.

Well Im not new to forums thanks for explaining me basic things when it comes to posting :swanson:
Well I am posting for like 3 years on other forum and I always stick to my guns. In othere place Im on close to non ignore lists from all that I know.
This thread seemed like one to post those kind of things if discussing on some matter was started by other members, I came along and sticked to it. Strength of people in new world somehow is connected to discussion about New World imo. Now I wont even try to continue this here if its not on toppic of this thread.
Im not here to be liked by all, I can guess that some people already put me on ignore list but its normall when somebody has strong logic and proves all that he is writing using arguments, facts an pages to back up- not all people has to share my point of view and go along with it. If I will be ignored by so many people "to start new account" then I wil just stick to other forum, who cares really. There is plenty of other things to do beside trying to show yourself/ prove anything on forum that is clearly treating new posters like they are kind of second or third sort of poster.
I just asked for better place for discussing matter that seemed worthy of discussing for me, there was few other posters that discussed about it for 5 pages but some people that are here longer/ has more privileges come into conclusion that its not worthy discussion and then instead of moving at least part of posts they deleted all. Simple. Thats why somehow I continued this. -
Well I did get into details when it comes to one of monster trio being overpowered by Vergo who is right hand man of Doflamingo- main enemy at least for now- before Kaido. Sanji was not overpowered and I explained it in a long way because some people are stubborn enough to keep their ground without any explanation/arguments.
Double bravo for people who said that Sanji was clearly overpowered but if he and Vergo will fight again then Sanji would win. No logic. Its kind of hard to ignore spreading bu***** like that on forum so what you can do.Subject was not stupid, strength of monster trio and circumstantial character of fights till now with main people from strawhats crew is something that matters. Oda is doing many things to leave us guessing when it comes to how strong Luffy, Zoro and Sanji really are. Sanji being in beaten up state, not knowing who Vergo is/what he can do- just like Law and Smoker knew was main reason of Sanji underestimating kick from V and getting his leg cracked so we were left with asking ourselves a question if Sanji is still in monster trio and if strawhats are ready for New World big players.
Dressrosa arc will leave us with no doubt that they can at least try to fight emperor now.
Thats why I do hope for Vergo vs Sanji round 2, Zoro getting enemy that will push him to show us at least some glimpse view of new Asura and Luffy fighting and winning with Doflamingo who looks like really close to Admiral "level".
Current arc will bring us a lot of action and end all the guessing or some missed interpretations from some readers posting here with clear estimation where Strawhats stand as it is for now in therms of as Lucci once said "combat power". Thats all that I wanted to point.Reported for being mindnumbingly boring.

Does anybody think we will ever get to see the island of Edd War??
I'm pretty curious to what it is, what it looks like and maybe even why Roger and Shiki clashed there. -

I'm pretty curious to what it is, what it looks like and maybe even why Roger and Shiki clashed there. They didn't clash on an island. It was a sea battle. "Edd War" probably refers to that part of the ocean.
-

Yea I know it wasn't ON the island x3
But according to the Marines' reports they clashed in the sea near it.EDIT: dunno if theres a different translation where it literally says "The Island of Ed War" but this seems good enough:
Off the coast of it indicates it is in fact an island
-
Nice found. Always assumed the war was named "Edd War".
-
On the OP wiki talk page of Edd War it says this :
"Raw says: 新世界 エッド·ウォー 沖にて
Islands usually have the kanji 島, but according to the dictionary 沖 (which was translated as "off the coast") means "open sea"… so sea's probably more likely."And seeing how this translator translated Kong's rank incorrectly as "admiral" (he was the fleet admiral at the time of the Battle in Edd War), I don't trust them with this "off the coast" part. So Edd War is a sea in the New World, until Oda says otherwise.
-
Oh okay. That's a bit disappointing… I was hoping we'd get to see an island like that.
-
This is a complex problem…
In this case, I guess most Japanese people will make out that Edd War is the name of an island (or nation /prefecture etc). -
This is a complex problem…
In this case, I guess most Japanese people will make out that Edd War is the name of an island (or nation /prefecture etc). Why?
Downloading said that island has a different Kanji, and the Kanji that was used now is used for open sea. So why would Japanese out of all people be confused about this? -
Downloading said that island has a different Kanji, and the Kanji that was used now is used for open sea.
Yes, it is true.
But when the Kanji "沖" is used with a noun such as "沖縄沖" "高知県沖", it can be interpreted as "off the coast of a specific island /prefecture /nation (not the name of sea). So I think It is not unlikely that Edd War is an island. -

Thanks man. Why did I have to come back at this time :( I wanna know what will happen with the fruit, the wait's killing me

How can people stop reading the manga like that for such extended periods of time? How does it feel not having a soul, you hideous Hell fiends?

@Monkey:
It feels kind of like I've been reading weekly for probably four times as long as you have.

Pls stop. -

I do it all the time. Bleach and Naruto have been put on hold probably for 3 more months. One Piece I do the same at times but now that I use this forum, it seems like missing out…

Well I can understand Naruto and Bleach because.. well, they're inferior shit. But I could never put off a new chapter for more than a few days. Oda always has me hooked. And he always manages to end every chapter with a nice cliffhanger.

Thing is man, more than 2 years ago we were promised a lot from One Piece but none of it has materialized. Really man, we have only had flashes of what they can do since the timeskip and we have almost no idea of what they did. Oda is keeping the main storyline a secret and every week we see new things happening, he has not even touched on any form of closure to any of the big questions we have about the One Piece Universe, instead he is raising a whole new set of questions and i would like answers now man. I have followed this show for almost 10 years now and i think it is about time he gave us at least some of the answers if not most or all of them. Think about it man we don't even know what the One Piece is, or what Devil fruits are. These are questions raised in the 1st chapter and it has been a great many years since then. I don't want to be asking questions about the nature of Haki or Asura in 5 years time still

Oda likes to drop around hints for all these big questions, enough to make a well-thought theory for each one of them. Most of these things have been set up to be solved in a specific way. For example: A full explanation for the DFs is set to be done by Vegapunk, and the One Piece needs to wait till reaching Raftel for a better reveal.
See, all these questions are already set up for us, all we need now is to reach their designated point of revelation. Can't be rushed, man. -
One Piece is the Game of Thrones of the manga world.
Answers and resolutions wont be come by so easily. -

I used 2 really poor examples in that, those are 2 elements that are vital to the storyline. I also get what you are saying about setting things up but really man, 16 years without an explanation is going too far in my opinion. We all know he is drawing out the storyline longer than it needs to be and I for one am not going to condemn him for making the most of his idea, he may never work again, but he really has to give his loyal followers something worth the wait they have endured. Tell me dude what was happening in the weekly manga when you started reading? When I started Zoro couldn't even do flying blade attacks.

One Piece has the slowest pace after Hajime No Ippo that I watch/read, so a lot of the time for me it doesn't feel worth reading just one chapter because so little happens (ie. this last chapter for one). I like taking a few months off and then spending an hour or so in a day and catch up, it flows much better and there is a solid amount of information and at times story progresses as well. Punk Hazard, the first half of it I read it all at the same time on top of the ending of FI.
One Piece is the Game of Thrones of the manga world.
Answers and resolutions wont be come by so easily. Not really, the story progression and information is revealed at a very quick pace in Game of Thrones. While in One Piece, plenty of information we only have small potential hints that could be red herrings about major information that we know nothing about. There is rarely an episode in GoT that doesn't pack a large amount of information and heavy story building for the next session. They're completely opposite for me.

The fun is in the journey, man, not the destination. Your impatience is not a flaw or point of criticism.. man.
Of course we all want to know what devil fruits are, or what One Piece is. But if we were told in advance, it goes against the core spirit of this very series. I think the best example of this that Oda himself has given us was back in Sabaody. Rayleigh offered to tell them everything. All of our questions, all of our theories, all of the mysteries would have been quelled right there and then had Luffy only wanted it to. We would have found out what One Piece was not even halfway to the end. But he didn't. He chose to keep moving on blindly for the spirit of adventure alone.
There are two types of people when it comes to this sort of thing. The Luffy's and the rest. That was the key moment that showed there was no room for the rest.Besides, Oda is constantly filling in the story with short-term mysteries and problems. I'd take real issue with it IF there was a lack of long-term answers as well as a lack of interesting current events to keep us distracted. This, by the way, is a very real problem many other current series you people chug down on have. There have also been major questions answered about devil fruits in the last two arcs alone, so I dunno where you've been. Probably not reading.
-
I see what you are saying man, but the keyword here is rushed, like I said before man, he could have at least given us some things at this point, like how Haki works. I used 2 really poor examples in that, those are 2 elements that are vital to the storyline.
Haki explanation is going well with the story and the SHs mastery of it. Oda doesn't want to write a wall of text explaining those things in his manga (like HxH did), but would rather show it through the main characters and their adventure. This is better for the reader because your understanding of it goes hand in hand with the characters themselves, which makes you feel even more involved with their development, and eventually more involved with the story.
I also get what you are saying about setting things up but really man, 16 years without an explanation is going too far in my opinion.
Can you list these big questions that your talking about?
We all know he is drawing out the storyline longer than it needs to be and I for one am not going to condemn him for making the most of his idea, he may never work again,
If you read Oda's interviews you'll know that he never intended for the story to go as long as it is right now.
but he really has to give his loyal followers something worth the wait they have endured. Tell me dude what was happening in the weekly manga when you started reading? When I started Zoro couldn't even do flying blade attacks.
So you've been reading since before Skypiea… which means that you've read through all the good stuff of One Piece when they came out! I'm not really sure how can you say that Oda hasn't been generous to you or any long reader of One Piece?
It honestly feels like you're just bored with the series and just wants it to reach the end no matter how it's done, but we all know that's not how it works. -
Honestly I can sympathize with everyone who quit reading for a while. I didn't see the point simply because reading the chapter every week takes about 3-5 minutes, which is nothing, but there was reason to feel disappointed.
From the point Luffy crash-landed on Amazon Lily all the way up until the beginning of Punk Hazard I really really did not enjoy One Piece. I'd look back on arcs like Skypeia and Thriller Bark, which were personal favorites, and feel really let down. Thankfully Oda totally got his mojo back toward the end of Punk Hazard.

I'm kinda surprised you didn't really enjoy Impel down or Marineford. Impel Down was really nice to see and Marineford had a lot of shit going on.
Well Oda stated that the Paramount War was basically just a little stop in between. He was surprised so many people were that excited about it. He himself is more excited towards the ending.
