Getting really annoyed with that Boondocks reference.
It was never funny.
Guest starring VegettoEX as Appule! :p
I must say, I did call Zarbon's reveal a few weeks ago on Daizex. Still, it was hilarious.

"No homo" existed long before The Boondocks.
Holy flying fuck….he's not gay!
"No homo" existed long before The Boondocks.
Oh, I know it did.
But no one was using it every chance they got until that episode of The Boondocks.
"As long as I don't go flying around like some jackass going -"
"I'VE GOT A DRAGONBALL!"
"Kill it with fire!"
Hilarious!
Appule!
And I knew I recognized that voice
Oh Zarbon, you and your homoerotic undertones. XD
The Freeza-Zarbon conversation was golden.
Hahaha
"Freaky Alien Genotype"
The Ginyu Force couldn't hold the laughs in.
"Quick grab my balls"
"…...HaHaHaHaHa"
Goku and King Kai were the funniest part of the episode
Overall though, it was the funniest episode ever
Vegeta's power is Maximum.
That was pretty hilarious.
Now that is a twist in the myth.
Oh, I know it did.
But no one was using it every chance they got until that episode of The Boondocks.
I've heard it quite a bit, actually. Wasn't even aware the Boondocks used it.
Yeah, that phrase is a regular thing now.
The Boondocks just used it… They didn't create it or made it popular.
I beg to differ on The Boondocks not making it popular, but I suppose that's just my opinion on it.
No need in starting an argument over it.
Huh, last episode the gay jokes annoyed me, now they make me laugh. I guess it's the different context.
But my favorite part was Goku's response to Frieza. The Ginyu Force should be interesting since that's when the real arc heated up too.
I've got a lovely bunch of Dragon Balls….
Anyone else find it funny that "George Takei" sounded exctly the same as Zarbon?

Yep, I noticed that too. It doesn't help that they were both "gay" jokes.
Episode 17 is out on T4S home page

I didn't know we had a thread for this. Here's a shoutout to the best thing ever:

The way Goku said his line is what made kit so hilarious. Especially haning up on King Kai

Awesome as usual. Can't wait to see Ginyu Force next episode!
Lani's Kuririn sounded off, had he a cold during the recording of those lines?
Mynd's mic was also…well...different. It sounded more like...well...he was a guy behind a mic.
The editing on Vegeta's eyes when he was walking noticably shook. Stuck out to me. >_<
Speaking of Vegeta, that stinger ("I'm just...sayin'") was pretty cheesy. Was that intentional? It's mainly my inner Japanese version fanboy. Yo. ;)
Speaking of my inner Japanese fanboy (damn, that's too much to type)...hate how the non-Freeza peoples use 'power level'. >_+
Loved the sharpness of the Gohan-Vegeta exchange and of course…that scream. Epic. Epic. Awes-epic.
"Daddy?" :p
Oh God, Shaz was in this episode? I didn't recognize him!!
He's just Saiyan.
@Cyan:
He's just Saiyan.
Well at least hes not Kubo.

Yeah, the line was supposed to be intentionally cheesy. Hence the canned laughter track.
is DBKai any good? I watched the originals ALL the way through but I havent watched this version yet, how much does it cut it down by?
You're posting in the wrong thread, but I'll answer anyway. The last Kai episode that aired was episode 74, where Piccolo and #17 fight Cell and Piccolo gets owned. In Z episode 74 Ginyu just turned into a frog and Goku was put in the healing chamber.

Clearly.
Anyways, good episode. Loved the exchange between Gohan and Vegeta. Although, I agree that Krillin sounded kinda off in this episode.
Am I the only one that saw a "Coach McGirk/Brendan Small" thing going on with the Vegeta and Gohan conversation?

A new message from Team Four Star about Youmacon. They finally used Blue Popo. But that's not the best part of the video. A certain blurred logo for a certain series is catching my interest(Are they serious or are they trolling?). And also I demand a full version of Nappa singing Detroit Rock City.
Sadly, their blue Popo was better edited and a more viewable color than the actual neon tv aired edit.
And that crew doing OP abridged? (And by that crew, I mean… basically the entire abridger community) Would be awesome.
Why is it that TFS's Goku sounds better than Kai's.
Most of the TFS voices are better than the Funi ones, actually. Its bizarre, cause you'd think after doing them for 10 years, those guys would have it down and really natural… but a random assemblage of fans mostly pull it off better by their second episode.
Granted, they're doing it for laughs so that brings a different tone and presentation to it, but... all in all, its a better dub cast than the real thing.
(Nappa is brilliant, but he's a completely different character in the abridged version, and going for laughs so I dunno how much that counts.)
I prefer Lani's Vegeta to Chris's.
Which is odd because they're almost exactly the same.
@RobbyBevard:

I'm inclined to agree. MasakoX's Goku, for example, is leagues better than Schemmel.
Even though Freeza got a new, much better dub actor in Kai, I think Kuriboh's Freeza is fantastic.
There's a lot of other good ones too.
A One Piece Abridged by TeamFourStar would be plenty of awesome! Can't wait!
"I can't drink that, there nuts!"
I absolutely love Dodoria's voice in TFS' dub.
@Cyan:

Which is odd because they're almost exactly the same.
Its cause Lani, while doing a voice, is talking normally. Acting, if you will. Chris puts on a fake voice is still doing an over the top character, even 10 years later.
The scariest part is, all the abridged guys are doing imitations of the Funi cast… and doing it better! (YuYuHakusho abdridged had much the same going for it... with one guy doing ALL the voices... and sa perfectly spot on Yuuske and Kuwabara.)
I mean, yeah, the Funi group has gotten better over the years, but its kinda sad when a ragtag group can do the same voices on the same characters so much better and so naturally in such a short ammount of time.
Goku, (especially Goku) Vegeta, Piccollo, Krillin, Gohan, Nappa (But again, playing it totally different)and arguably Bulma are all as good or better than their Funi voices. Some like Freeza and Dodoria and Zarbon and Dende are over the top for comedy purposes, but are pretty great too.
Yamcha and Tienshinhan are whatever, but they're disposable and they knew it, so it doesn't really matter... and they were pretty good too all the same. And Mr. Popo....
