i don't get it, impel down will begin for four episodes and then they will leave the arc for one month to put the movie specials? i love the idea of the episodes connected with the movie but is HORRIBLE to begin seeing something and then to be left in the middle, i think it would be much better if toei put the special episodes now and then to start impel down if not this is like bleach when they leave the main arc to put fillers =(

At least this filler arc includes good stuff we want to see, not the same flashbacks we'd already seen before.
But that time they were 18 episodes INTO THE ARC, now they can put the special episodes now and then start impel down is just FOUR EPISODES it has no sense to introduce the arc and cut it at the beggining at least ennies lobby was almost at the middle of the arc and they don't have a choice because water seven-ennies lobby are connected so they couldn't put fillers in the middle but now they have the choice to put the special episodes now then star impel down, that's my only complain.

They want them to be near the movies theatrical release. That seems to be more important than to make sense.

The reason why Funi verison doesn't have the preview is because they get their copies of the new episodes even before the next episodes previews are made.

Title time! Thx. 1ch / ep doesn't sound too good for the wild Impel down rollercoster ride. Action episodes should be a bit faster. What are they going to fill the episodes with? Showing us more torture methods used in there? ^^

These first Impel Down chapters aren't exactly action-filled ..there's a lot of talking.

Yeah, Think of ID as Shabondy, I bet it will be handled the same…Start 1 chapter pacing and when the action kicks 1.5 chapters will be used.
Plus it's a small arc. 15 ep of ID would be great. 20 is tolerable.

Thank god Buggy appeared before Gold Lion was mentioned. This movie fillers will kinda ruin the mood of ID for those who watch the anime weekly, but since I just watch specific episodes it is enough for me to have at least Buggy (although I believe I will watch the ID arc in its entirety).

well there is also the fact that we don't know what Oda has told anime. I mean ID looks like Luffy is non-stop running and get through ID or meets Magellan in like 20 minutes. Yet it takes over 4 hours time when they beat the first beast of hell. Not even met magellan yet.
So its not as fast as it seems

They can easily extend action-packed chapters. Just add more "filler" to the fights, maybe even some non-canon fights, and it'll be a lot more entertaining to watch than filler in talk eps!

All this nerdrage amuses me. It's just two minutes and twenty-five seconds that have absolutely no bearing on the content of the episode nor the quality thereof. Mute or skip if it bothers you that much.
And I like it just fine, so I don't care if it lasts forty, fifty, however many episodes.

There's nothing really constructive in that news link. Basically it's about how the Japanese fandom is complaining about the song ''It's too kiddy, doesn't match the tone of the arc'' etc., basically the same as with people here, though they seem to be much closer to grabbing the torches and pitchforks than we are. And Toei says that the people fuming stewing in their own juices over this are out of luck, since they're not going to be changing it for a while (as mentioned above).
As I said above, all this fuss over two and a half minutes of stuff that doesn't reflect the quality and content of the actual show greatly amuses me. I guess the culture gap and my inability to understand the lyrics without consulting a translation work to my advantage here.

Hm, that sounds kind of boring, to be honest, since Toei has already re-used him for One Piece a few times (and even moreso with the Dragon Ball franchise), but we'll see I suppose. The same thing happened with Rayleigh and he turned out well enough.
