Finally, the return of San Zen Sekai!
Though I do feel this is somewhat of a pointless chapter. We didn't really need another "beat up Oz" chapter, especially back to back ones. It didn't feel as epic as the last one at all, and it definitely felt filler to me.

Brooke carried luffy to the top of the tower from where he could use the gigant bazooka from the angle needed to break Odz' spine. Luffy was too drained from the Nightmare ordeal to make it up there in time.

Good Chapter; Moria's probably going to wake up next chapter and do something (my vague prediction).
First time Robin's made feet I think. Wasn't expecting Giganto Bazooka either. Odz is definitely done for this time. How they're gonna get Moria to give back the shadows is the biggest question, though.
I am completely satisfied with Odz's defeat. The ending of this battle had what everyone wanted. No Deux Ex Machina, the entire crew's effort, a definite falling blow (what more can you do when your spine is shattered like that?)
Anyway, maybe Lola will be the one to get everyones shadows back. She might try to uhh…seduce...Moria unless he returns the shadows. For once, let the ugly woman be the hero. She seems to be a nice person.

While I do like this chapter, I also hope that this will be the end of the Oz battle. It's been 10 chapters now! That's practically a whole volume unto itself! Oh well, at least it's finally over… I hope. D:

Very good. Zoro finally used that attack after all of these years and it Oz, I think, is out of commission. However, the question that arises is where was Moria? Was he still knocked out or is he planning something. We know something will happen but the Oz fights were great because this was the first time we saw all of the Straw Hats work as a team to defeat one opponent.
Pretty sweet chapter, and a great (hopefully) end to the Odz battle. I can understand him getting up after NL, but now with the combined efforts of all the Strawhats, Luffy giving a Giant Bazooka to the face (which was awesome btw), and his spine shattering, I don't see how Odz can get back up. But then a small part of me still believes (and dreads) that Odz could still get up.
Well, if he is down then I guess all that's left is to get Moria to put back the shadows. Still don't know how that's gonna happen or if Kuma's gonna come into play, but at any rate I hopet this arc is wrapped up soon.

I do agree that this fight has gone on a bit too long, but if it's the final fight of TB then I think it's more understandable. But at least it's probably over now, and I can't wait for next week!

One thing I'm still wondering about: Is Odz actually "dead" (as in, did Luffy's shadow return?) He could still be conscious, but there probably isn't much to worry about. What with Moria's ultimate servant having lost complete mobility in at least 3 limbs, he probably doesn't have much choice but to give up and return the shadows.

Also, when is the last time we've seen a spine broken in shonen manga? Last time I can remember was from "ruroni kenshin" during one of Kenshin's fights against Enshin.
This is tense, the sun could come up any minute and 4 of them still need their shadows back!
My guess is that they are going to some how trick Moria into saying "Return to your masters" or something

However, now that Odz is immobilized fromt he neck down, it really shouldn't be that difficult to shovel whatever salt Usopp collected or the Rolling Pirates keep handy into the big guy's mouth.
In regards to shonen spine breaking, I'm fairly confident that one of Robin's Clutches had a an X-ray bone cracking panel as well. I want to say it was with spandam, but I'm too lazy to go check right now.
Also, @Aceburner and others: Moria got away a while ago. If you check the cockpit in Odz' belly in the later panels, Moria is no where to be seen. I think we can assume that he pulled his Doppelman switcharoo again and is hiding back in the tower.
My bigger question is whether Cyringohn is right that Moria will run from the fight at dawn. Or will he try to take the weakened Luffy out while he has the chance? Did that fight with Kaidou really break his courage or will he take his beating like a man?
There's nothing more Moira can do since there's noone left to fight his battles.
Either way, if Moria can fight again, so can the rest of the crew ;p. This rest of this arc should now just be clean up.
Most of One Piece's major villains survived their final battle, so we shouldn't think that Moria should be an exception in this case. And Moria's powers are too cool to just perish like that.

Not to mention, he isn't really alive, just about any personality he had came from Luffy's shadow.

Think about it as this, the chain in the beginning was like this II, Sanji kicked the the second I over Odz's head. Zoro's attack was needed to push back Odz's belly to strain the chain so that his spine would be straight.

As Moria stayed in Oz body, he sure did not get better. I mean, he, too, got some 3rd gear punching.
I beieve, that due to the fact that Luffy is out of the game now, Moria is too. So next chapter he will give up and order to return the shadows.
After that its Kumas time and the story will resume.

Can somebody please explain to me what purpose Zoro´s attack served in the group work? This is not a complaint, I simply do not understand what was so essential to his contribution. Would everything have worked quite as well without him?

The human (or monsters from frozzen lands) spine is curved in two places, the abdomen (wich zoro handled), and the neck (that sanji took care of), Zoro straitened up the spine in the abdominal area.

I think I was suggesting that Kuma would force Moria to return the shadows a few chapters ago, but whatever. Now it has some support, though I'm starting to SLIGHTLY doubt it. I can still see it happening, though.
I just loved this whole chapter. Definitely worth the wait.
I would hate it, but there is still a posibility that Odz is back in the fight, shadow revolution, I doubt it, because it nulifies any other of moira's attack (or his logia like defense) and is time for him to fight
The SH didn't do any significant damage at all to Odz, there efforts were not needed really. What? Are you going to use "The SH crew softened up the pickle jar that's why Luffy was able to open it" argument?

actually attacking the belly would not make you straighten up it would do the opposite. Thats exactly what happened. How would you reacted if someone punched you in the gut? BUT doing so allowed the chain to pull him straight, so the attack allowed him to be caught off guard by the chain.
How I see it: a hook, or uppercut to the gut (Zoro) then an uppercut to the chin (chain)

Well yeah, the SH's efforts were not in vein. Moria better get up and fight, otherwise that would be very disappointing if he is KO'd by one haymaker. So I am going to keep an open mind and BELIEVE that Moria gets up and tries to allow the SH to Battle him in order to give back the shadows.

Well Moria said that in order for the SH's to get to him they have to beat Odz first (too late for thath Luffy already punched Moria
). Nami confirms this and tells us the SH's have to beat Luffy's zombie first, and then Moria after that. Not to mention while Luffy was whoopin

Anyway you look at it, this is by far the most badass chapter in recent memory if not the entire One Piece series
and it was definitly the most brutal. Moria COULD still be in Odr's belly as they took two pages in the beginning of the chapter to show us that, but he COULD have left. I hope he doesn't, that might just be senseless dragging on.
I really like the teamwork (NOT A NARUTO REFERENCE) showed by the SH crew as I suspect that this will be fairly important in surviving in the New World

Moria is long gone. In previous chapters, Moria was visible sitting in the chair in the cockpit on Odz' belly. In the later panels of this chapter, all you can see is the chair.
I suppose it is possible that Moria has simply collapsed behind the chair, but the much more likely option is that he pulled his doppelman switch again and is hiding in the mansion.
So Luffy will either have to track down and battle Moria, or Moria will run away to avoid a confrontation. He certainly has not been defeated yet.
Moria was laying in Odz's stomach, white eyed. Doesnt that mean he's KO? that of course means being defeated in One Piece
Oz's eyes were whited-out too, as were most of the crew when Oz attacked them. But they all got up, so Moria can as well.
Frankly, he'll have to or else they'll all die. And that would pretty much end the series.

Luffy doesnt really seem to have enough strenghth left anymore, to pull something like that off. And there still is Kuma. I can't help but wonder what to expect now.. Another Aokiji kind of beating, doesnt seem right IMO.
And something tells me that we haven't seen the last of hogback.. but that could just be me.
