I can understand why they picked OP tho, Oda probably let em know that this manga won't be ending anytime soon so in his head this delay might give him some time to get things done in advance, maybe even start up another manga lol. This is why Naruto or Bleach wasn't picked those are going to end pretty soon. Also maybe because Togashi and Oda are friends he agreed to atleast get HXH's popularity jump started again.
I'll be sticking with OP no matter what just like I've stuck with HXH with 1/3 of the manga being crappy drawings due to Togashi's sickness and the ridiculous hiatuses. As for the news of the 10 week on 10 week off… that is really disgusting news. While I haven't kept up with HxH, it's just a terrible decision in my opinion to bump off one popular series for another. I assume they think that One Piece is popular enough that they'll have readers still and it won't be damaging after the 10 week break. Dissapointing.

I'm sure the one this is affecting the most (if true) is Oda and it's hitting him far worse than any of us.
Oda is the one author who CONTINUALLY has gone above and beyond for the fans. He's a man who loves his job. That's not to say it doesn't take it's toll on him (hence last summer's declaration that OP would be his first and last long-running series) but he is the manga fan's mangaka.
He knows how hard this will hit his fans (if true) and I'm sure that it's not sitting well with him and he probably feels like crap for having to go along with what is a bullshit decision from way above his head.
That's why it would kill me not to spend money on tanks since that's where he gets his nice share, but I simply won't support such a blatantly selfish decision.

WTF?! NO! This cannot be! This is terrible! One Piece is my current obsession. It's what I look forward to every weekend. Why are they doing this? It's just going to hurt them in the long run. Plus, unless they release multiple chapters at a time or very lengthy chapters, the series will never end. I'll probably die before it does. Where is the logic in this decision?!

I currently wait a long time just for the monthly manga's like Tenjo Tenge, Monster Hunter Orage, or My Balls (don't ask haha) but adding another long wait.. crappy. Hopefully, chapters will be a bit longer but I'm not holding my breath. I doubt Jump will allow the extra pages.

This… can't be true. It can't. There's no way Shueisha could be so stupid as to give One Piece the "Viz Treatment". This will shoot the pacing straight to hell, and shoot the anime pacing to hell worse. I don't even see how this will make Shueisha money. How does making only half as much of your most popular series come out make you money?! Where is the business sense in this decision?! I refuse to believe this. It can't be, there's no logic in it. Like Greg said, the One Piece booth at Jump Festa this year will be awkward if this goes through. Somebody better make Shueisha explain why they pulled this, because this is going to cost everyone involved.

I'm begining to think that this was planned for awhile cuz the announcement for HXH chap to be in the Oct issue of JUMP was weeks ago and then ppl got the word on the net the day the chap got online that it would be 10 weeks of chaps then break for 10 weeks.
They must've had the rotation plan in their head and we got word of it now. I'd assume Oda has known for awhile now.
I'll hope this is just an experiment for sales and when they fail miserably they'll just make both manga weekly and bump w/e crappy manga in the issue isn't doing that good(like they did with Double Arts altho it wasn't crappy).
