Somehow a really stupid theory just came into my head regarding that climax between Kid and Kuma. Here's my line of thought:
-Eustass Kid is the most powerful (non-Shichibukai, non-Rayleigh) man on the Sabaody Archipelago
-Kid is also one of the highest bounties known, even higher than Luffy
-Kid is known as a massacerer, killing everyone who gets in his way
-Kid has a powerful DF, most likely involving magnetism
-Kuma is the most "merciful" of the Shichibukai, repentant and transforming into a perfect Pacifista
-The Shichibukai just had another large loss with the defeat of Gekko Moria
-Moria was taken away to keep it as if there were still "seven powerful warriors" but he's essentially damaged goods to the WG
-The Shichibukai are about to take on the Whitebeard Pirates, the most powerful pirate crew in the world with the man closest to being Pirate King leading them.So what's my stupid theory? It's simple:
-Knowing of his high bounty (which is close to Moria's) and known infamy in the Grand Line (compared to, say, a complete unknown with no bounty who captured one of Whitebeard's generals…hint, hint), Kuma has come to recruit Kid for the Shichibukai, possibly taking Moria's place and immediately using him to fight alongside them against Whitebeard.
good theory. I too thought that was why kuma had approched him first, but then i thought that Kid may not accept the offer so a fight may still occur.
If kid is magnatism then if Kuma is made of metal its game over for Kuma. But for i believe Kuma isn't made from metal, as Zoro said hes made from something stronger than metal. If it is the case that Kuma isn't made of metal then Kid going to have a rough time.

Do people seriously think Moria's title as a Shichibukai is taking away? Everyone is talking like it is when it was said back in that arc when a Marine phoned to Kuma saying that it would be better for Moria to continue retaining his spot.
It was just a theory and I sort of didn't believe it myself. Kidd probably has no reason to fight and does want to get off the island but it does feel weird that Kuma would approach him of all pirates, particularly with Rayleigh there and Kizaru coming.

I noticed that Law had that big guy who used to be with the nobles with him. I just thought that maybe Law could use his powers to pop off the big guy's head, shake the bomb collar off the neck, and then reattach the head. It would be a funny way to remove the collar.

With all the theories about Kuma asking Kidd for Shichi. I'm not gonna argue against that possibility. Because even though Gove said they wanted Moria to retain position Moria still always has a say.
But I will say, that there is no way in hell Kidd would accept it. We were told that he kills people for laughing at his dream of being pirate king. He is set on being the king and that's it.
We already have a guy using the Shichibukai title for his own gains to reach pirate king. (Blackbeard). Oh and we also seem to be finding out that the others after becoming shichi are basically using their new found freedom (from gov harasing) to build up a crew or attain a weapon and become pirate king.
This Shichi wanting ot become pirate king is getting used a lot and would like to see another true pirate like luffy. Heres to Kidd licking the floor with Kuma next chapter.

Only Garp knows that Rayleigh is there. And he's likely there due to Kizaru. It was mentioned last chapter that there's advance troops coming ahead of them (with the marines being surprised at "what" they're sending.) So he's likely just part of that.

Well we don't know which way Kidd was running. But most likely away from HQ location. So doubtful they would meet on the way. ! First: I really admire Law now. Sure, he grabbed this Jean character because he knew who he was and knows he is (likely) strong ~~ which benefits his crew; but he gives credit to Luffy. Overall he has only shown interest and admiration for Luffy, so I do not see him being an enemy ever (particularly since him and his newest crew member should both have a small debt to Luffy ~~ or at least favorable gratitude.).
! Second: Can anyone imagine Kidd and Kuma playing some sort of weird Devil Fruit Tennis by bouncing attacks back and forth with each others powers? hehehe.
! Third: I love how all the Strawhats are tapping in their own strength all over the place without fear. Ussop is somewhat confident standing there with Kabuto out. Chopper is in Horn Point and all aggressive. Brook is giving them the getaway opportunity (LOL!! Luffy falling asleep). Sanji taking action for Luffy. Zoro holding the attacks for everyones escape. Robin taking out the last few at the Rosy Life Riders. Best of all, Nami blasting everyone with Thunderbolt (Piii~kaaa~CHUU~~~~!!!!!).
! Fourth: I thought that Silvers was going to leave without them and meet up later? Now he appears to be tagging along with them as if it were a Movie. Not that I mind.

Kizaru might also be brining enough troops to disperse through the island and capture them as opposed to just going towards an area they are attempting to leave. It's not definite that Kuma is part of his advance troops, but likely. I don't think he'd come to that island without good reason.

Well pretty much agree with you on all points, except. I would hate a Haki training thing. i pretty much just see him explain what he did. You know just say "I shot out my intimidation or whatever teh hell, won't explain how it works or anything."
Also pretty sure oda has stated about the clothing and stuff on the Devil fruit users just basically takes on users properties. Said it all with a joking mannor of it being turned into a hentai manga if the clothes ripped big time and all that stuff.

Awesome chapter.
I never expected the slave giant to join Law's crew. That's cool that Law credited Luffy. Also, nice cliffhanger at the end with Kuma. I predict that next chapter there will be a fight between Kidd and Kuma. I think the battle will be a tie between the two. Plus, I think Kizaru's "special" troops will arrive and stop the Strawhats from escaping.
I have no idea on what the Kuma fight vs. Kidd fight will be like. It could be a tennis type thing for a bit. It could be Kuma saying he don't have tiem for kidd and going to Luffy. It could be Kidd owning Kuma. Could be Kuma owning Kidd.
Both of their powers and str are too big of a mystery. I seriously doubt seeing Kidd get owned though. With the whole meet in the new world, Law/Kidd/Luffy are all escaping or kicking the marines ass all the way to fishamn island. there is no doubt in my mind about that.

I do have a question though, the duval said preparations were complete for escape, now did he mean for taking the sunny to fishman island or for just flee from the current area where the marines were at?

Being made out of one the strongest metals possible, can fire steel melting lazers from his mouth, the ability to teleport, his own orginal devil fruit that allows him to shoot high air pressure from his palms and reflect attacks, the guys a beast.
Kid may have the advantage of his ability vs kuma's metal body, but kuma can also teleport away and attack from long range with both his lazers and air palm attacks. Battle experience also plays a big part in it, as we seen with ace vs black beard a more inexperienced person who was getting dragged in by gravity/magnetic pull would lose but kuma is heavily experienced and has alot of long ranged abilities.
The fight all depends on one thing. If kuma is made of some sort of metal then i believe Kid will win.

Yea we know a lot more about Kuma. So who is to say what awesome things Kidd could do. And experience doesn't always play a role in stuff. I know a bad example cause he is the hero of the story. But Luffy has beat many more experienced guys.
With the pages I read of the exchange between Kidd and Luffy about the pirate king quote there is no doubt in my mind that all three crews leave the island. And no way in hell kidd is joining shichibukai also from that statement. So really there is only one outcome. A draw due to similairities in abilities. Kidd winning. or kuma not fighting him but just leaving next chapter to head towards luffy or maybe he just finally recieves orders to head to Whitebeard.
Outside the box prediction: That isn't the Bartholomew Kuma, the tyrant that we all know and love, especially because he doesn't have his trademarked Bible with him. Those are the not-quite-yet completed version of the Pacifista 'bots that Kizaru brought with him to the Island in order to suppress Luffy & Co.
Good chapter, though. Big fan of all of the crews.
Theres no way Kidd is going to own Kuma.
Any fight between these two will just be a small demonstration of Kidd's powers like we got of BB(only Kidd won't be in the lead like BB was against Ace), some backstory on Kuma as a Tyrant, ending with Kidd getting out of there or an inconclusive ending.
This is One Piece, strong guys don't just get defeated shortly after their appearance. Even Blueno got into 3 confrontations with the SH before Luffy finally took care of him.
well lets see. We were first introduced Kuma way back when. Then we got to see his strength and his devil fruit ect. at Thriller Bark. He also mentioned what he was an that he was an incomplete weapon and about Vegapunk.
You know incomplete weapons don't always get completed. They are just that incomplete. There is usually a complete weapon then somewhere. We have seen plenty of Kuma to warrant him being defeated by an up an coming rookie. Whom I might add has a pretty high bounty. (no bounty arguments here, everyone know bounty =/= strength)
lets say we have vegapunk first was working on jeff. and made him a good cyborg. Then the next he worked on Kuma. after seeing his results and all that he finally made the perfect weapon or complete weapon in steve. Now steve is the complete weapon. Jeff and Kuma are incomplete weapons. Kuma never stated he was still being worked on.
Great chapter, Law and Kid seem like good guys, even though they came off as bad guys in the beginning!

I have a few comments, but it's lunch-time, so i'll make them later. I'm sure many will make the same ones.
One thing for the fanatics. On page 11.JPG of the Basement scan, Killer is attacking someone with a "huge" Axe. Is this the same guy from earlier?
This wouldn't be the first time Oda has made someone seem important to only have them be cannon fodder.
Definitely liked the relationship between Kidd / Law / Luffy. And that Law gave Luffy the credit. Show's alot about their characters.
I'm not stating any facts, but I know there are some that like some of the other Rookies, but at this time, there's no evidence for the others to say that they'll be anything more than cannon fodder. If the New World is supposedly so harsh, then for sure, we're gonna lose at least half the rookies to the currently established strong pirates and perhaps Marines in this area. Maybe even the Shichibukai are more active over here.

Since Rayleigh is the coater and he definitely hasn't been by the thousand sunny I doubt that their ship is ready to go to FI.

Teleportation indicates traveling from point a to point x without crossing any of the letter designated points inbetween.
We don't know if Kuma can really teleport or if he is just moving faster then Perona and Nami can perceive.

Hey, hey, hey. Kidd and Law are really cool characters. They strike me as though they will become luffy's real good rivals. Luffy has already beaten two Shichibukai's, so what's wrong if one is going to be handed to Kidd? Kidd, I think, is also a man of principles, so he is going to take Kuma alone. Of course, it is going to be a very rough battle, but he will win, or everything that he said thus far about WG and piracy is all fillers.
I read the scan and I must say this is one of the coolest chapters till now (character - introducing - wise xD and overall)
Kidd´s team is cool,Law´s crew is too (and he got that new guy,xD - I hope the SHs get a strong member too^^ , at FI or later )
