That´s actually the main problem I have with Morgan. He simply is far to weak to put himself in a position to control people that defeat Hachi.

Kylara's raw is up @ Mangahelpers! =D
Sarquiss was definetly not killed and we don't know if Bellamy survived that or not. If Pell can survive a bomb at close proximity Bellamy could probably survive a shallow stab/slash.
1. Bellamy is a bad guy, Pell is a good guy
2. Bellamy didn't believe in dreams, Pell had a dream of defending Alabasta.
Bellamy's dead. Sarquiss… probably not.
Tell you what, Gorlom. If it turns out to be Mr. 11, I'll never again say Death Happens in One Piece.
I doubt it's Krieg. Krieg doesn't have that manner of speaking. Morgan is a possibility since we haven't seen his right hand, but I doubt it.
I doubt it's someone Luffy messed up altogether, anyway. It's probably someone Zoro messed up. If you recall, even, Zoro defeated Morgan, not Luffy. Zoro landed the final blow on him. But still, I don't think it's him.
The main thing is that there's gotta be a reason that he's wearing a helmet. That's why I'm leaning toward it being a victim of Sanji or Zoro. Sanji probably kicked a lot of faces in while on Baratie; surely someone who got his face kicked in wants revenge.
Lastly, I can't believe no one's considered this, and I'm throwing this out there:
SOGEKING.
Not Usopp. The REAL Sogeking. If there's indeed a real Sogeking out in the world somewhere, and he's a badass, imagine if he messed someone up good, and that person, unknowingly thinking that Sogeking is part of the Mugiwara Pirates, is waiting for his revenge.

You know, this is such a simple and easy concept that I actually see no reason why it couldn´t work. Seriously, I like that idea. If Alvida can return (who was even weaker then Morgan) and chase after Luffy because of the DF, then I don´t see why Morgan shouldn´t.
Brilliant. Thanks for the input. Sometimes I ignore the most obvious solutions. I really like it.^^
What's so cool in the chance of it being Morgan? Seriously. What does he have to offer to the table of character-depth other than "gee, I'm angry at you for righting the wrong aeons ago"? As far as his appearance would go, people would just go "yay omg he's back!!" briefly until forgetting about him after he gets his bloated hairless pale ass handed to him a chapter or two later. Didn't those macro merman gangsters get beat up by Hachi? So he doesn't even have lackeys of any significance at his disposal? The stench of cannon-fodder is overwhelming here.
I seriously hope it's some former friend of the SHs, who just shows that not all that they do in their goody-two-shoes activites around the world is actually for the best of everyone (excluding the villains!). Not the flipside of the coin, but the edges of it (or whatever… I'm bad with metaphorsesarssasearsasess)! A good guy gone bad. That'd be sort of fresh.
Or then the mangaka will go all Oda on us and make us all look like goons as he pulls something straight out of that "no-way-in-hell"-hat of his.
I'm really hoping the cover story is of Enies Lobby. It's possible there's another "Island of No Survivors" but I really doubt it. I've been wanting to know what the hell happened to them.
Not even going to join speculation. Someone's probably stated what I was gonna say anyway.
I am really anticipating the reaction of Nami, Sanji, and Zoro when they run in to Hachi. That's going to be one hell of a scene. Luffy probably won't even remember and I doubt Usopp will either.
Also, those flying fish are awesome and I want one.
My belief is that this Duval guy is not someone any of the strawhat's met or defeated before, but an old rival of arlong who wanted to defeat him so badly that it was his only purpose for living. But his dream was ruined by Luffy who defeated Arlong so his hatred was turned toward Luffy who "destroyed his Life", and all he settles for is to torture one of arlong's former subordinates(It has to be "that" Hatchi it's so obviouse, also didn't he and the mermaid appear in a few filler chapter covers).

We know there are deaths in OP besides flashbacks. I'm not trying to refute that fact. However I want to make it clear that noone is dead untill shown dead. And Bellamy was never shown as dead.
Atleast in my country a person can not be declared dead by anyone without medical training unless the head is severed from the body… Thats a pretty good guideline to go on in One Piece too.

And where exactly would that be different if it was anybody else of the previous antagonists? If it would be Krieg or Bellamy for instance it would be pretty much the same concept of "gee, I´m angry at you for righting the wrong aeons ago" you just described. Personally I wouldn´t like to see him back because of his non-existant character depth but just because I like such a way of storytelling where stories get wrapped around. And I´ve been asking myself eversince when Morgan escaped how somebody like him can actually ever came back to oppose Luffy after all we see him do.
Doesn´t matter who it is, I doubt anyways that we´ll see him as an antagonist for too long. He´ll probably be just as long an obstacle as Bellamy was at Jaya.

Worry not, this is Enies Lobby. You can clearly see recognize that this is the view from the Bride of Hesitation. That thing in the front is what remained of the Judicial Tower and everything behind it is what remained of the main island. And just in case you can´t make that out by itself, the fact that the four "where are they know´s" were Water 7 themed should be enough proof that this is Enies Lobby right now.

That's kind of why I'd wish that it wasn't one of em previous antagonists. The resolve of such seems so blunt that it can't make up much than just a quick and short-living reason to bring Camies and Hachis and talking starfishes (yeah, I forgot his name already…) together with the SHs.
As far as Krieg goes, I'll stand firmly by my opinion on it being impossible that he'd think that Luffy "ruined his life". What exactly did he do? He beat him up, after he had been heavily beaten up. He had a fleet and amibitons and whanot, which were ruined by running into Mihawk. Luffy just handed him his ass afterwards while he hastly came up with something to proceed with. They fought, and he lost. I see that as humiliation if nothing more. Ruining someones life is like completely destroying every hope of achieving their dreams. Not just a brief KO on a floating restaurant.
Bellamy. Uh, whatever. If he's him, I'll actually give the thing a thumbs-up no matter what the backgrounds, seeing that it always saddened me to see an ability with such immense potential to be wasted like that.
@Ivotas:

My point exactly. We're all already looking at the frontier and seeing mirages of Jimbei standing in there. This dude just brings some temporary fun with the mystery of his identity and the crew of flying fish. Fishman Island is what everyone's looking at. With a 99% chance, this guy will end up as nothing more than a pit stop. If it's a cameo, that's fine. If it's a viable excuse for one, that's even better. But it can't be anything too big. I just hope it's not going to be some measly way to show some major development of the SHs.
@Tokoro:
Somehow I had a weird thought that maybe Sanji could coax a mermaid to ask fish about All Blue (since it would be along someone's swimway), but who knows if "mermaid talk" can be used that way.
i've thought for a while that this arc would be centered around sanji since fishman and mermaids would most likely know more about all blue than anybody else. if this arc is centered around sanji then i expect dupal to be somebody from sanji's past.
I'm not feeling this Chapter.
man luffy, brooke and sanji moments were great this chapter.
really looking forward to next chapter.
i've thought for a while that this arc would be centered around sanji since fishman and mermaids would most likely know more about all blue than anybody else. if this arc is centered around sanji then i expect dupal to be somebody from sanji's past.
i've been hopin and thinking this too, cuz i wanna know more about it myself
perhaps sanji had a run in with duval on the Baratie?
So now they are on a quest to rescue the takoyaki is there anything they wouldn't do for food?
I liked how Zoro just erased Kokoro from his memory and how Sanji was bleeding just thinking about her.
For some reason this chapter had a totally different "feel" IMHO. I don't know what but it just felt different.
if duval isn't morgan then he'll be someone that was in the background of a panel somewhere and someone that the strawhats can't even remember. great chapter btw. sanji was hilarious and even zoro got in on the forgetting <<what's her="" name="">> :p action. ;)</what's>
WOOOOOT, new chapter, awww man, you bums got me seeing Camie as a new member, damn, now I'm gonna hate to see her leave when Fishmen Island is over, imagine iF she was a power fighter and Oda just hid her power, that would be…..............COOOL, anyways, I figure the person thats behind the mask is either from that Bellamy arc, or from the wayyyyyyyyyy beginning of One Piece, I don't think Morgan, ............just don't think it's him, well, whoever it is, I know they got really strong, these small arc before the huge Saga arcs show a really strong person, then we get the main course, maybe Jumbei, or maybe somebody else, don't think it's Jumbei because thats too obvious that he would be at Fishmen Island, you know Oda loves to surprise us, so I think it's somebody else!
Also, I REALLY LIKE CAMIE NOW, CURSE YOU APFORUMS AND ALL YOUR CAMIE JOINING POSTING!:cwy::cwy::cwy::cwy::cwy::cwy:
i've been hopin and thinking this too, cuz i wanna know more about it myself

You know I was thinking the same thing if it wasn't someone we'd met before. Which would make some sense since it was slightly sort of hinted at Sanji getting some screen time this round if you want to interpret it that way.
Come on Oda! Bring back my main man!
If it hasn't already been suggested, and don't ignore this thing just yet, but I'm thinking Dupal may be a Marine guy. Not-directly-met-with-before Marine guy.
Have any other Marines besides T-bone have that kind of pattern from Dupal's helmet thing on anything they've worn? Just a suggestion, 'tis all. It isn't necessarily right on the mark, just like a bunch of the speculation being submitted here.
Come on Oda! Bring back my main man!
if there's a god, this won't happen.
@ seal
No other marines have worn that sort of helmet, so it really may have nothing to do with them.
Great Chapter!
So, who wants to predict that there will be a movement for Camie to join the crew as the official fish catcher? lol
Seems like a cool arc, provided it is short as the arc seems like it hard short potential and just a 1 volume prelude to Fishman Island.(Which I PRAY is no longer than TB)
if there's a god, this won't happen.
@ seal
No other marines have worn that sort of helmet, so it really may have nothing to do with them.
Alright! I have decided then. Dupal is some random bastard that stripped T-bone of his armor and put it on instead! MAYBE HE'S WANZE :O
[/bad prediction]
Back to being serious, I do think that Dupal is his own person. It'd be boring to re-use a character. But if it absolutely had to be someone we've met before, my bets go on Bellamy.
My point exactly. We're all already looking at the frontier and seeing mirages of Jimbei standing in there. That´s actually exactly why a previous character would be perfect. I expect Dupal to be a short-lived small fry. If that is the case then it´s better to bring back somebody we haven´t seen in a while for a cameo appearance rather then creating a completely new character only to waste his potential.
oh, hey, interesting theory:
Dupal kidnaps and is practically a mafioso
maybe he was one of franky's rivals back when franky was into underworld crap
This was a great chapter! I can't wait to find out who this Duval/Dupal guy is. I noticed that the Flying Fish Riders were human and not Fishmen.
I've come to an interesting deduction for no reason thanks to this chapter:
Either Greg, Ivotas, or Zephos is a mermaid. Who is the mermaid?
Lots of great humor in this chapter XD
hmm.. nice chapter.. I wonder if Duval is Arlong lol
Yeah, this chapter actually made my likeness for Sanji to come back.
Even Zoro shined a bit after his rudeness towards Kokoro.
And Luffy was as selfish and obnoxious as ever.
Man, hilarious chapter. Luffy and Sanji were pretty funny, but Brooke unexpectedly asking money to Camie made my day for some reason.
Looking at the raw, it looks like Himajin's read the name wrong.
I don't blame him, considering the quality of the print… The only sure way of identifying the spelling was on the 15th page, when Pappag is explaining to the mugiwara crew.
It's kinda funny both of the usual 2ch spoiler guys this week read the guy's name wrong.
(First spoiler identified him as "Dival", and Himajin read it as "Dupal", and his scans were way too small to identify them)
"Duval" is correct. (Although Dupal is a real name too )
The damage has been done, Aohige.
You know, I just finished re-reading the Hatchan's undersea adventure, and read carefully, there is a lot information in it. For instance, the Marco gang was in there, and had kidnapped Caimie in that arc. Secondly, she has face faults all the time. I'm left to wonder if Hatchan ever managed to woo Octopogo, or if she will appear in this arc. Man, I am really stoked already for this arc.
However, the "charge in and beat up the bad guys" is happening way to quickly this time, so I think it will be a quick 3-4 chapter rescue mission before the Merman Island saga really kicks off.
Onigumo, I've just done the same thing too, and you're right, there's lots of information in there. As for Octopogo, I'm expecting her to be a Diva a la Beyonce or J-Lo, which should be a lot of fun.
EDIT:
Hey, I just noticed something else:
Luffy's also got a pair of board-shorts with a "Mermaid" logo. So … not only has he been wearing Pappag's gear since way-back-when, he's also been wearing Camie's gear since way-back-when!
Two more examples of Criminal wear:
(Camie's shirt says "Crimin" too – either it's a coincidence, or Oda originally called the line "Crimin", but later changed it to "Criminal". SBS anyone?)
(Zoro's shirt has the logo, not the name. Notice how the scar on the logo lines up with his own scar. That's why this brand is ideal for him.)
Ok, back to the endless Duval speculation …
The damage has been done, Aohige.
Would you rather not have Branky and Himajin give us early spoilers?
That would be the alternative… to wait every week till friday/saturday with no confirmed spoilers, instead of tuesday early ones.
Well, well
If we think about this logically it would ahve to be someone who is after money (e.g. Arlong) and does not fear to use bad means for it (e.g. Arlong)
Since he kidnappes people and sells them.
The hands don't really fit Arlong, so my money is on Krieg, and will always be on Krieg. Since "See you at the grand line" is quite a promise and Oda wouldn't let that go just like that. And htis is the perfect chance.
Think about it, having Krieg appear even later on the road woudl be far more unrealistic. And the Flying Fish Raiders are not fishmen, so that would fit pretty well too.
The Armor is also something that Lrieg would use, it's probably once again full of weapons and equipment. And the Helmet would fit so bloody well, since Krieg got hit in the Face several times by luffy and his face was unprotected.
Also, I think kriegs grudge is big enough to actually speak of "ruining ones life" since he had to retreat and lost his title of the "stongest" in east blue and had to leave without a ship. He probably went through a lot of hardship.
But it remains to be seen, however I would stritcly rule out Morgan, there is just no reason for that.
Would you rather not have Branky and Himajin give us early spoilers?

Nah, I'm just saying that we won't ever get people using his proper name now.
Still want spoilers!
I have to say that Pappag's reason on learning human speech was great.
Pappag sorta reminded me of Meowth, to be honest.
Yo great chapter thanks guys.
I ve read the thread and I wonder why no one saw this already:
watch the next page:
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/442/06/
Noticed the logo on Franky's shirt?? he wore it the whole TB-arc
and now look to the logos (on the fish and necklaces) of the flying fish:
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/491/18/
and another thing look to how Franky's reaction was when Pappagg first talked about the flying fish:
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/491/15/
(the first 3 panels)
So now after reading the whole chapter I can say with confidence that Duval was waiting for Franky and that he is someone we never met before!!
I hope this will end the Arlong/Morgan/Bellamy/… are back theories.
alé ciao

That´s exactly what I expected and why I was waiting for a good quality raw. Thanks for clearing that up Aohige.
Nah, I'm just saying that we won't ever get people using his proper name now.
Seeing it that everybody uses Vegapunk now, even if that romanization came something like three or four days after Begabank I´d say that there´s nothing to worry. And even if, as long as everybody knows who we´re talking about it should all be fine.^^

I noticed that too. But couldn´t that be just a fashion thing actually? Perhaps this isn´t a logo on the flying fish but simply how they really look like and the necklace and Franky´s shirt is inspired on that. Could be possible.
Ivotas: the flying fish "bikes" also have that logo (look at page 17 of the latest chapter). It's not just the necklace.
But the logos of the flying fish gang and that on frankies shirt doesnt match exactly. Frankys only have one spike downwards while the FFG has 3 spikes downwards.
No I think it s exactly the same logo maybe you can see it better on this panel
Ivotas: the flying fish "bikes" also have that logo (look at page 17 of the latest chapter). It's not just the necklace.
Erm, that´s what I meant with "this is what they really look like". I was trying to say that the fishes themselves look like that. The necklace however is inspired on it. Know what I mean?
Ah i missed part of what MnI said so that sentance didn't make sense to me =P
Looks more like some sort of hood then their natural look to me though.
MnI: that logo is even more different from the FFGs logo. that has some addon legs or something. the "missing" spikes aren't even going down from the horizontal line like they should.
but look at http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/442/07/ bottom right panel. Franky has two smaller versions of the logo on the front of his shirt. only one downward spike.
Hey, I just noticed something else:
Luffy's also got a pair of board-shorts with a "Mermaid" logo. Well, Keimî's shirt still has "Crimin" only written on it as of ch.490. (Evidence!)
So the brand is only named "Crimin" - not "Criminal".
Erm, actually both can work. The brand name can be "criminal" and still have only a "crimin" used as logo. I mean Yasopp has clearly just "Yaso" on his forehead but that doesn´t mean that this is his full name. ;)
Don't know if this was pointed out, but the Makuro crew's name probably comes from the word "maquereau", which is french for mackerel (and pimp, ironically ).

Such info´s never cease to amaze me. Even if it´s not what Oda had in mind the pure coincidence is still beyond awesome. And personally, I think works too perfect to be just a coincidence. Thanks for sharing. Posts like that are best reserved for the character names faq. They make for a far more interesting read then the list I´ve put up there actually.^^
