No thread yet for this manga? Blasphemy.
After recently rereading it I remembered why it was probably my favorite manga ever. So people who were fortunate enough to read this masterpiece come here to discuss the adventures of Gally/Alita in one of the most depressing dystopian worlds ever created.
For the heathens whose unholy eyes didn't graze these sanctified scriptures, I exhort you to read it ASAP.
A short rundown of the story: In Kuzutetsu, the Junkyard, a gigantic metropolis created by the trash rejected by Zalem, the floating utopia, cybernetician and bounty hunter Daisuke Ido finds a female cyborg's head while searching for spare parts among the moutains of scrap of the city.
Aged of more than 200 years the cyborg's brain is surprisingly still alive, prompting Ido to reanimate and give her a body and a name: Gally. Thus starts the girl's struggle for life and quest for identity, having lost the memories of her past life as a warrior and constantly questioning herself about her humanity.
